When I was preg with DS I knew within about 5 seconds that I was pregnant...never had that feeling before and was very bizarre.

What's the earliest you felt different?

Going back to the title 'how soon did you know you were pregnant?' this month I dod not feel pregnant at all where as other months when I was not I had all sorts of imaginery symptons.

PeachyPlumFairy · 08/12/2005 18:14

With ds1 when I was vomiting at 5 weeks grr.

With the others pretty soon, it was a taste in my mouth- 4 weeks I'd guess?

snowgirl · 08/12/2005 18:27

I knew about a week before I was due, maybe more. Sore boobs and bloody heartburn!

Saskia909 · 08/12/2005 23:01

I love that babydust! I had not seen it b4. I am also posting on the fall for fall thread and will try to check everyday. BFN/BFP obviously negative and positive but is the BF bit swearing or what?! Hi littlechristmaself. There's you, me, normsnockers and Jane? (from another thread I think?) who are all (ahem!) 38 plus and I need the solidarity! All my friends who are trying are way younger than me. But so well done to Trix1 and rubles! and my favourite nickname is NewBethlehemGirlwithsparkles (are you pregnant now or not??). Good luck to everyone! PS also what is CD as in CD21 etc????

What an exciting thread - lovely baby dust trix take care of you and the little pip!

Am I alone in having an almost immediate knowledge that I've become pregnant - within the first week... like feeling light years away from the hum-drum real world - more a sensation than anything. Well before the funny metalic taste in my mouth or feeling queasy or anything definite.

Perhaps I'm just wierd but with both DD and DS I had the same feeling. Anyone else?

Oh and good luck Carly

Still no AF.....

pucca · 09/12/2005 08:01

Coriander... i know its difficult but i would really try leaving it till Sun/Mon. As i said i only got a positive when 4 days late (1st pg with my dd i tested positive on day period due!).

Or get on ebay and buy a load of cheap tests then test away, the shop bought test are soooo expensive

Good luck, i have my fingers crossed for you

Coriander73 · 09/12/2005 08:35

oh Pucca...I'm trying not to think about it but it's hard not to. Have a Tesco's test which I haven't used...yet. Could it be that I'm delaying my period because of all the testing & worrying? Yet the boobs still sore & the metallic taste still there....

I don't feel as positive as I did...

MerryMegandSnowySoph · 09/12/2005 09:04

with dd1 it was weird. For some reason I just went to the chemist one day for some vits and thought oooh "i'll buy a pg test" hadn't missed a period. Anyway got back to my block, did the test and what you know there was 2 blue lines, I nearly fell off the toilet. I have never felt as happy as I did that moment even though she wasn't planned.

DD2 was just as strange I wasn't due my AF again but for some reason I knew I was PG again I was doing tests all week they were all neg. My best pal thought I was a loon but I was still convinced. One night when we came back from Bingo I said to my BF that I was going to do another one it was a clear blue. Did it came out put it in her face and said "thankyou!! I told you" lol she was shocked. A week later after telling Exh and the dust had settled I found out BF was also PG. Spooky Dooky

mumfor1sttime · 09/12/2005 09:18

I was trying for ds for a few months, had been on the pill for over 10 years so I didnt know how long it would take, as my periods went a bit weird when I came off pill.
I was couple of days late, but wasnt too concerned as I thought my period was just being weird again. I was at work one day in the window (Im a window dresser) and I bent down to reach something and felt really dizzy. It felt like something I had never felt before, and I 'knew' I was pg.
I bought a test after work, but didnt want to do it on my own! When dh got home from work, I did it. I couldnt look! I told him to look at the result, and he said ' youre pregnant!'
I said 'No Im not!'
I was so happy, shocked and scared! I didnt sleep a wink that night.

Coriander73 · 09/12/2005 09:36

Pucca, Rubles...I couldn't help myself & just did the tesco test..it was negative!! That's it...I'm not testing anymore...I'll just wait for AF to arrive.....

pucca · 09/12/2005 09:39

Coriander...dont give up hope yet. I think to keep getting negatives is making you feel worse tbh, i was ttc-ing since spring so i know how you feel (i felt that way every month).

Just see how the weekend goes, hopefully AF wont appear then you can test again.

There is no point testing again for a couple of days anyway now, it takes a couple of days for HCG to build up.

Thinking of you

Coriander73 · 09/12/2005 14:55

Still no sign of AF....

trix1 · 09/12/2005 20:51

Coriander what day of your cycle are you on? is anyone else testing this weekend.

I keep thinking about my bfp and as i have no signs of pg I am paranoid that the test was mistake. oh dear.

Coriander73 · 09/12/2005 22:47

Hey ho...AF has just arrived day 29

Oh well..on & up for next month!

trix1 · 10/12/2005 08:39

Cori - sorry about af arriving

rubles · 10/12/2005 18:23

Sorry about that Coriander, I really had my hopes up for you.

Coriander73 · 12/12/2005 09:49

Thank you

I've stopped feeling sorry for myself & I am planning to enjoy myself with DH all through December! Will keep you all posted!!!!

Coriander73 · 13/12/2005 17:47
