When I was preg with DS I knew within about 5 seconds that I was pregnant...never had that feeling before and was very bizarre.

What's the earliest you felt different?

I started to feel "different" about a week before af due, i had been on a strict meal replacement diet and had been doing well but then couldnt stop eating pg wasnt planned so thought might be my will power but then when i was 2 days late i took a test and a faint line appeared!! guess your body knows what it needs

Last time was 3 days late when TTC and felt slightly sick, did test and it was positive.

TTC at moment and not due till wed next week but feeling very sick & tired today (tiredness to some degree normal!), stomach feels wierd nearest I can say is very heavy!

Does this match up to anyone elses experiences as can't do a test till sat at earliest!!

Sorry to hijak thread, bit paraniod at the moment!!!

lucycinco · 10/11/2005 13:53

Before period was due. I just knew, cant put my finger on it.

jersey · 10/11/2005 13:55

Jam just seen your post! snap!!!!!!!

notasheep · 10/11/2005 14:55

Huge sore boobs before period was due!

MINNIE1 · 10/11/2005 15:11

Before AF came for me..

I know a girl who was 6 months before she found out she was pregnant!!

Coriander73 · 05/12/2005 16:12

I'm convinced I'm pregnant but part of me doesn't want to believe it incase it's negative. Since the deed (11 days ago) my boobs have been really sore & I just feel..well..odd. Can't explain it. I did have some cramps at the weekend but I had those exact pains with DD1. We only starting to try for DD no 2 last month so part of me feels we cannot have been so lucky so quickly. Have done 2 early response tests but thus far negative! Due on Wed /Thurs so may give them another go tm morning. Fingers crossed...!

doormat · 05/12/2005 16:16

tbh I felt it when I conceived dd1
it felt like something had burst energy inside my body
and the same thing happened but had a m/c 7 weeks later

Hulababy · 05/12/2005 16:19

With DD I felt pg from about 4.5 weeks, and before I tested. The nauseau and then sickness started before 5 weeks, which was a clear give away.

When I was pg the first time, and then subsequently mc at 7 weeks, I never did feel pg at all despite having had positive tests.

wewishyouamerryKITTYmas · 05/12/2005 16:26

Wow theres so many people like me with DD knew after the deed which was weird cos we were having a break from TTC and I thought we were ok cos I was on CD11 (from OPKs I ovulated CD19) but knew straight away my period wasn't coming that month. Didn't even need to do the test I knew what it was going to be.

With DD2 (due in 5 weeks) it was the first time we had had unprotected sex since DD1 was born I was CD18 of a regular 28 day cycle and again afterwards I thought "bet I'm pregnant" DP thought I was insane. Period day came and went boguht some of those cheap ebay tests first one negative, next 2 v v v faint lines but you know when you just know, went and bought a Clearblue and it was positive. DP know thinks he has mega sperm as it only took the once for DD2.

I think your body knows when you are going to get pregnant and makes you erm horny.

Hulababy · 05/12/2005 16:27

"I think your body knows when you are going to get pregnant and makes you erm horny. "

Wish it was that simple!

Coriander73 · 05/12/2005 16:37

Hmm....I wasn't feeling horny at all when we did the deed! It was more a case of I knew I was going way on day 14 of cycle so we did it the day before (I have heard you have more chance anyhow if you do it a couple of days before ov. don't know how true that is?). Anyhow, I have been getting a slight metallic taste in mouth this pm....am I getting carried away? A close friend of mine told me to trust my instinct & well yes, I am & do believe I'm pregnant but is that because I really hope I am or do you really know when you know?? Am going a little insane...!

Coriander73 · 06/12/2005 13:22

I did an early response test this morning & it was negative. Due on Thursday but thought that I'd be able to see a line, however faint! Reading through some of the above some of you did the ER test 5 days before period due & it was positive....I don't know what to think...yet still my boobs are sore & I have the strange taste in my mouth....could it be that I am & it's just too early for any hgc to show up in my urine? Please help...feel like I'm giving this far too much thought!!

rubles · 06/12/2005 14:03

Ooh Coriander73 you could so easily be me from everything you have said, except I am due today.
I did a test this morning and it was -ve, but am undeterred as I still feel quietly confident we did all the right stuff at the right time - (oh my God, have I just jinxed myself saying that?!!...)
I am at work now, and am limiting myself to a trip to the loo to check for period only every 1.5 hours so that I don't look like I have the runs to everyone else here.

Last night I couldn't sleep because I was so excited about whether AF would come, it was like Christmas time...I kept looking at the clock to see how long it was until morning time, and then thinking to myself that if I went to sleep I'd be able to make the morning come quicker!

Who's the most insane, do you think?

carlychristmas · 06/12/2005 14:26

unfortunatley ladies i think i win in the mad stakes i am currently ttc my third with no luck yet af due saturday (well sat is cd28 anyway) have already tested bfn as expected but was still gutted??? even though i know its way too early i keep thinking that i know i ovd cos of ewcm (sorry tmi...) 10 days ago, so surely it would show a bfp by now? I ahve just been on ebay and ordered a load more tests that although i have promised myself i will wait, will probably do every day from now until either a bfp or my af arrives. So do i win?

Coriander73 · 06/12/2005 14:40

ohh ladies...am I glad I'm not the only one!!! I've been dashing to the toilet every hour or so just to see....madness isn't it? Since writing earlier in the day, the metallic taste has got stronger & I'm starting to get excess saliva in my mouth which is exactly what happened with DD1. I am undeterred as like you Rubles I'm sure we did everything correctly & the fact my boobs have been hurting for over 12 days just can't be coincidence?? I'm extremley lucky to already have a beautiful healthy 15 month old girl who was conceived using the err..withdrawal method (!!) so at least I know I'm fertile but we both want this so much....even though I said never ever again (that's another story!) Keep me posted...good luck

MrsDoolittle · 06/12/2005 14:46

I knew the next morning when I woke up, I just felt different. I said so to dh, who scoffed at me. I tested 9 days later but I already knew what the result would be. Very bizarre!

Saskia909 · 06/12/2005 15:34

Any news from ThomCat or any of you who thought you might be pg? We have been trying for no. 3 for six months now (never any problems b4 but I am 40!) with no joy. I feel that I might be now but had a pd (although a very odd one) on time. Has anyone had periods and been pg anyway?

Coriander73 · 07/12/2005 10:29

Hey Rubles...any news?

littlechristmaself · 07/12/2005 10:34

Saskia909 am 39 and been trying for a year now,

rubles · 07/12/2005 10:46

Yes! yes! yes!
I've just done it a minute ago literally, it's only faint - but it's there!
I am soooooooooooooooooooo, so, so happy.

littlechristmaself · 07/12/2005 10:49

congrats

wewishyouamerryKITTYmas · 07/12/2005 11:14

many congratulations rubles

Coriander73 · 07/12/2005 12:00

CONGRATULATIONS RUBLES!!!! I'm sitting here waiting for something to happen....according to the BBC webpage & their pregnancy calender I could, in theory, test today (going by the date we possibly conceived) if not then have to wait until tomorrow. Still have the same symptons......am a nervous wreck....
