When I was preg with DS I knew within about 5 seconds that I was pregnant...never had that feeling before and was very bizarre.

What's the earliest you felt different?

before first period
had my one and onely wave of nausea in waitrose fozen foodsa aisle with ds3 and thats it

Kelly1978 · 04/02/2005 16:05

Around the time my period was due. i just knew it wasn't going to come! This time I was even using contraception but I jsut get this feeling in the pit of my stomach - no other symptons, v strange!

bakedpotato · 04/02/2005 16:11

like Desperate, i knew instantly with DS. i woke up feeling so knacked, i had to crawl back into bed after breakfast. With DD i had the killer exhaustion within about a week.

dinosaur · 04/02/2005 16:12

When I got pregnant with DS3 I swear I actually felt the moment when the egg was released and conception took place - felt really weird and dizzy for about half an hour!

Lonelymum · 04/02/2005 16:13

I always had an idea before taking a pregnancy test just after period was due, but not because I had any symptoms, just because my periods were usually regular enough for their absence to be noted IYSWIM. First real symptoms probably at about 7-8 weeks.

lilsmum · 04/02/2005 16:15

same as myermay... but i did "know" i was pregnant the day my period was due, i knew it wasnt going to come and knew the test would be a positive!!!

leglebegle · 04/02/2005 16:18

knew with both pregnancies almost immediately. had little cramp pain deep in uterus, and knew something was different.

sweetkitty · 04/02/2005 16:25

knew the day after the deed just felt different

desperatehousewife · 04/02/2005 16:27

bakedpot and leglebeg - did you feel nauseaus quickly too?

bakedpotato · 04/02/2005 19:37

no don't think i felt sick instantly. it's a bit woolly now though.

motherinferior · 04/02/2005 19:41

I was totally exhausted after my first conception, but only actually realised I was up the duff when my period didn't arrive. (Unplanned, dd1.)

Second time - tested day my period was due (dd2 was planned). I may quite feasibly have been exhausted too but the ordinary exhaustion of my life masked it IYKWIM.

leglebegle · 04/02/2005 19:49

desperatehousewife - yes I think I did feel nauseous very quickly, not immediately but within days. Just slightly, enough to know something was amiss. I didn't wait for the correct number of days for either pregnancy and bought a test when i was about a week pregnant and an extremely thin blue line showed on each. did a follow up test a week later and it was darker.

jabberwocky · 04/02/2005 19:51

At about 2 weeks on, before my period was due. Just had a different feeling in my uterus.

I knew right away with ds - about an hour or so after the deed, but not with dd. It's weird though, because you're not physically pregnant for several hours afterwards, isn't that right?

bonkerz · 04/02/2005 20:53

Posted on here about 8 days before period was due that i felt odd and my tummy felt detached! found out 10 days later when period was 2 days late that i was pregnant! (sadly no more)

ThomCat · 04/02/2005 21:12

The first time I knew as soon as he came that I'd conceived. Something kind of went 'pop' and I just knew it had happened. However have had 2 miscarriages and didn't know that I was pregnant until I was miscarrying. Trying again now. Had 3 nights in a hotel without child and the time was right but somehow dodn't think anything has happened yet.

I knew the moment she was conceived. It was just different somehow. I thought, afterwards, 'That's it!'

The week before my period, my only 'symptom' was overwhelming exhaustion every day around 4PM. I literally couldn't keep my eyes open.

I just knew my period wouldn't come, but waited till I was three days late (I'm NEVER late) before testing.

The nausea didn't set in till I was about 6 weeks gone, however.

ThomCat · 04/02/2005 21:21

That's quite mad isn't it.

Hope i am pregnant after 3 days of lots of sex but somehow think not, watch this space though!

Cheers mate, xx

lilsmum · 04/02/2005 21:28

how did you "know" just after you concieved? very interesting, would you just call it intuition? or an actual physical feeling?

expatinscotland · 04/02/2005 21:35

It was just intuition. I just knew. I didn't have any other 'symptoms' besides fatigue.
