Thank you every one!

Cosmogirl Because your BBT is taken first thing in the morning at rest after a min of 4 hours sleep, how you feel during the day isn't a great indicator. I don't really feel any hotter post-ovulation when my temps are higher than pre-ovulation. I feel a bit hot now, but I think that's just because it's muggy out

Congrats Yarnie. That's great news.

I can no longer swim in the Possibly Pregnant Pool as AF arrived yesterday with bells and whistles. In my case I am grateful, as wasn't entirely happy with the idea of conceiving within the first few weeks of a miscarriage, and was the only one of us (I guess) who accidentally had unprotected sex.

Now I shall have another month getting fit and healthy and happy and give it another shot.

Good luck to you all. May there be many more BFP's

Glad you got the result you wanted Daisy.

LOTS of luck for when you do start ttc

Yarnie: congratulations!

CoteDAzur: sorry to hear you are not well and BFP- but at least, as you said, you can now take the medicines- and it might not have been a good start for the baby to be hit by cough/temperature etc so early on... I too have been ill for the past three days- have taken no medicines but have also eaten absolutely nothing, so again this month would probably not be a good start- which means when AF arrives on Friday I wo't be too disappointed (well, so I tell myself, but I cannot wait to test).

Daisy5: best of luck for next month!

How long have people on this thread beeen trying for? We started in October- and still no luck, but cannot work out whether it is normal, or too long or what...

Congrats Yarnie, excellent news, at least 1 of us is getting the result! Dasiy it is best to let you body get back to normal before you try again, I fell pregnant quite quickly after 1st mc and had another (not that that means you will of course). Belgianbun - typical man! thinking of his D!
I drove past a Boots today, soooo wanted to pull over and stock up on pt's, but resisted (had parents in car with me). So it looks like I will have to wait until friday, first thing I will be down to Boots, hopefully they will still be having their bogoff deal. I must say I can't be faffed to take temp, though haven't been ttc no 2 for too long. Though I hate to agree with him your DH has the right idea belgianbun, just keep doing it and it should eventually work! Keep thinking positive girls(if you'll excuse the pun)

Don't get me wrong, I would have been ecstatic if I was pregnant.

daisy, it is hard, I do sympathise. I had mc at 8 weeks, then conceived straight away, then m/c at 12 weeks.. I don't think it caused it though, it was just bad luck. I'm almost certainly out for this month, no AF but feel very premenstrual and had negative test 2 days ago..

daisy5 · 17/07/2008 16:31

Gemzooks - I'm sorry - that must have been tough on you. I was up late last night trying to make the decision about whether to start trying this month or wait another month as still feel a bit exhausted after the past few months. I'm 41.5 and already any baby I have would be born when I am 42, I am quite good at conceiving which will possibly be my saving grace...but I'm seriously starting to regret not trying for no. 2 much sooner.

ok, I just did another test and THINK I can see the very faintest of lines. Now excited but also gutted because it really is faint. will do another test tomorrow morning. been here before with bloody faint lines and both were m/c, DS was a strong line on day before period was due..

Report
nandos · 17/07/2008 18:59

Gemz! Congrats..i think u are pregnant!
the faint line may be due to just early days or late implantation so do another test tmr to confirm.. have u got any symptoms?

so who's next?

i feel like AF is coming anytime now cos' my lower abdomen is rumbling n churning and have pre AF cramps No hope of testing tmr i think ..

Gemzooks · 17/07/2008 19:31

thanks Nandos but don't feel super hopeful as 2 m/cs both had faint line and the healthy pregnancy had a dark one... I still feel very premenstrual, losing glasses and spilt all DS's bedtime milk this evening, which I have never done before.

Have sore boobs and very tearful, but that is normal pms for me! But obviously can't help hoping now I've seen that tiny line. Will try and wait till Sunday to do the other one in the test (thank God they sell them for 5 Euros for a pack of 2)

Good luck testing tomorrow everyone!

Gemzooks, that does sound like you are, though I understand your concerns. I'm going to buy a test and do this morning, can't wait any longer. Daisy it might be best if you wait, get you mind and body strong. I don't know if it makes a difference if you conceive quickly after 1 MC, maybe doctors can advise. Its all a bit of an emotional rollercoaster - you will know yourself if you are ready. I'm also 41.5, so will also be 42 if and when I have another, thats why I decided this was my last year of trying. Mind you there are alot of older mums out there these days so another year or 2 probably won't make much difference. Good luck with the tests

Gem That sounds hopeful! I have my fingers crossed. Please let us know how you get on

hi all, just to let you know that I am out this month. My temp has dropped way down and lots of pre menstrual cramps etc, so af is definately on the way. I am really gutted. It was only my 1st month of ttc #3 but the previous 2 times we were successful 1st time so I guess I presumed it would be the same. I also have a really irregular cycle, sometimes upto 6 months inbetween af's so who knows when I will get the next chance...

Gemz: that sounds really hopeful, good luck.

Hants: Good luck with the test today

To everyone else thinking of you and hope you all get the answer that you want.

hi all,

Did another test just now and positive line is clear, though still pale. So looks like, tentatively, I'm pregnant! However, will not be even excited unless it gets darker over the next few days..

Dinky, it is poss that it's still too early, I wouldn't give up hope.
Greenbeanie, sorry about this month, hope it happens next month.
Hants, I'm quite sure you are pg!

anyone else testing today?

Report
Hants · 18/07/2008 12:32

Dinky - I think it is too early, I tested the day before AF and got BFN, just tested now and got a BFP! I have kept staring at the result for ages just to make sure its right. Now the worrying begins - though will try not to. Gem, sounds like you are defo too. I just did mine with a Boots £3.99 one (too tight to waste £7+). Look forward to hearing more BFPs.

nandos · 18/07/2008 12:44

Hants! Congrats! OMG so now we have 2 BFPs! must be a long wait for u Hants, am so pleased for you.

I still havent got my AF but still having cramps today so might wait till tmr to test if AF still not here. my HPT is not sensitive enough and it says to test a day after missed period..
i think most probably mine is a latecomer rather than a preg..

anywayz good luck to the rest waiting to test/going to test ..
