Well, my uncertain ov date has thrown me into disarray. I got a high temp this morning. If I ov'd on CD13 that would be unusual and some cause for mild excitement. If I ov'd on CD15, it would not be so exciting . I have sore (.)(.) which is not a usual premenstrual thing for me and localised cramping (before I AF I usually get a dull, hollow ache which is not localised). I don't know what to make of it all and wish I could be certain about my ov date!!

Has anyone been doing any sneaky testing

hmmm, not sure what to make of all this.
today i have loads, and i mean LOADS, of cm.
why???? does anyone else note more cm just before af? or (she asks hopefully) any increase in cm before bfp???
have never noticed this before, but havent really been looking!

Hi DinkyBoysMum. I usually get a bit of an increase in cm before AF. I have heard of some who found they had increased cm before getting a BFP, so you never know. When is AF due for you?

Hants · 15/07/2008 16:32

Gemzooks, I'm the same as you with systems - seem same whether pregnant or not! Never tried testing the cervix, what will it be like if I am pregnant? Everyone still resisting the urge?? AF still hasn't arrived.

Not sure if this is a symptom but I feel soooo hot! Have felt boiling for the last two three or four days. So weird..

Have heard increased CM can be an early preg symptom. Usually my cm drys up just after ovulation.

Hants You're well over your AF due date now, aren't you? Are your cycles regular?

doh! Meant symptons NOT systems! My cycle is usually 28 days. Though maybe takes a little longer for body to adjust after coming off pill, though has been quite a few months now. I also have lower back pain, and twinges in both sides of tummy, but similar to pp. From what I have heard of other people, no 2 pregnancies are the same, so we can't necessarily compare from our previous experiences. No I haven't tested again, only due to me not having any and not able to get to any shops until friday. Will do then if no AF, that will be 7 days over.

Gemzooks - you prob tested too early like me and a few others. That link made interesting reading, made me feel more positive about the possibility of getting a BFP. While we are all still waiting for AF there is hope! Hang in there. PS Is CM what I think it is? dis....?

I'm sitting here with a cup of tea with lemon and honey, feeling sorry for myself. I'll test tomorrow morning. It will be several days before AF, but I can't take this throat infection anymore and would very much like to take some real medicine if I'm not pregnant.

Maybe it's the universe's way of softening the blow of an impending BFN - I almost hope I'm not pregnant so I can hit the pharmacy first thing in the morning.

Hants I wish my shops were further away so I didn't have the urge to test Well done on your resolve, anyway, in your position I think I would have been off on a hpt expedition!

Cote sorry to hear you are under the weather. Have you tested yet?

I'm temping and AF is either due today or on Friday. A very high temp from me today, so not expecting AF today. It has got my hopes up a little as I would have expected a lower temp if AF due in two days.

I'm going to try and bury my head in the sand until Saturday. Help me not to test!

Cote: Hope you are feeling better, my dh has managed to give me his cold from earlier in the week so I am at home with a sore throat etc.

Yarnie: That sounds sounds quite encouraging, you never know...

My resolve broke yesterday and I did a hpt. Far too early I know, anyway, there was the faintest of faint lines, only visible in certain lights when squinting at it (!) but I think it was still there, even dh - who didn't know quite what he was looking for said he could see 2 lines. Repeated this morning but couldn't see anything so I am determined to wait until friday at the earliest if not saturday.

I know it's only 2-3 days away but it feels like forever.

Hang in there everyone.

I had a sleepless night, coughing and awaking to my own snoring (I'm all gunked up). Finally at 5 AM, went and did the test, saw my BFN, and downed several Lemsip pills.

Better luck next month

Poor you, Cote and sort-of sorry for the BFN, although yaay that you can go and get drugged up. I hate waking myself up with my snoring. I'm always faintly embarrassed by it!

Sorry, Cote. hope you'll be well for next month, Greenbeanie, how exciting! A line is a line!

Yarnie, how do you temp, then, do you just take your temperature at the same time in the morning and it drops just before AF? might try..

this waiting is killing me!

i tested again this morning (AF not due till bout Friday): BFN.
greenbeanie: how confusing for you! I drove myself mad squinting at the lines taht were/werent there. i now prefert he clearblue digital. It spells it out to you quite clearly. (although i have been known to break them apart and get the test strip out & try and decipher that [bliush]) Test tomorrow with FMU.
Cote: sorry hun, enjoy yr lemsips & give it another go next month!
Yarnie: temps sound promising, how was it today?

cote, hope you get well soon..at least you know you can take the pills and recover asap..it must be bad with a cough

greeneanie, thats good news hopefully it becomes a BFP v.soon..

i had a cramp late last night and i dont feel any different apart from that n i couldnt test even if i really want to cos' i found out my hpt is mostly above 20-25MIU. it wouldnt detect anything with that sensitity..
well only 2-3 days left before testing..

Gem That's right. Ideally you need a BBT thermometer which measures to 2 decimal places. You need to take your temp in bed before you do anything else. You should get a big shift upwards in temp after you have ov'd and a drop just before AF arrives. It's a good way to get to know your cycles.

Yarnie · 16/07/2008 12:11

I hope I set a good precedent for everyone. I just got a BFP!

Congrats Yarnie! Great news. I don't know much about temping, but is it a good sign if you feel physically hot in the two week wait. I have felt boiling the last few days. Or does how your body feels not have much to do with BBT...? [confused emoticon]
