Hi ladies

I am off to the Isle of Wight tomorrow for 4 days just me and my partner. My daughter is staying with my mum. Help please needed. I went to the toilet tonight and when I wiped myself right up inside I noticed a few spots of blood, nothing major just spots. I have been taking Notherisone tablets (? I think they are called) to delay my next period which is due tomorrow so worried when I saw the spots of blood, only there when I poke the tissue right up inside me. Two things, one should I be taking these if I am hoping to get pregnant and 2. could I be pregnant and the blood is just spotting. Boobs keep getting sharp stabbing pains through them but not sore to touch. Any ideas please ?

Bev - OOH u you're off to my home town - how I miss it could do with a nice big hug from my mum as well! well, i'll have to settle for a virtual hug from you guys!

(((((((((((((group hugs))))))))))))))))))

Sparkley - did u test? how did u get on?? F/R tests should pick it up..

Fresco/MG - (((((hugs)))))) thanks girls. I'll be testing again as soon as my tests come thru that door, but as our internet's down at home you'll all have to wait till monday for the result! lol. (actually I might get a dial up connection as a short term measure - can you put dial up thru a BB modem? any ideas?

WEll i'm back to not really sleeping again, (althou this is mainly cos the dog's crying in my ear for a wee at 2/3am, he won't pee when it's raining - and at the mo it's like niagra falls outside! lol) so he had me up to pee and to be sick - nice eh! - don't get dogs! lol. Spoke to DH last night which was nice - so am feeling a lot better than yesterday - althou I think I may just cut back on MN. He's invited me to the end of tour piss up!!!! for him to do that is a huge deal! I wasn't allowed on the one b4 they went, (and am not normally allowed to go on the troop do's etc.. (he's don't go to those thou) but any of the lads things I'm not allowed to, and this time, he's told his mates his wife is coming and that's that and they can't stop him! i'm so proud of him! they recon they'll sort him out! - as long as that only means getting him plastered I don't mind! lol, sad thing is all the wives are going on a night out down the road - but I don't want to go with them as I don't know any of them, so will ask a few of my friends along as well. i'm just sooo pleased he's allowing me to go! - u see now i'll be bloody PG and won't be able to drink, so they'll be no point in me going!)

munnzieb · 11/02/2005 09:06

becki ((((hugs)))) no real advise hon, but everythings crossed for you. did u test too early possibly?

Bev - same no real advise, (((hugs))) did she show up? if not have a test and put ur mind to rest.

Elf1981 · 11/02/2005 09:13

Hi all. Sorry for not posting yesterday - spent most of the evening laying on the sofa in the belief that we'd be going up to my sisters but didn't happen. Then got distracted by the telly!

Thanks for all the congrats. I'm still in disbelief, and a bit worried that it might all go wrong. Query - when working out how many weeks pg you are, do you go from last AF or from OV approx date?

Fresco - I had been TTC for four / five months now. I did all the usual BD on OV dates etc, but this month did things slightly different, as BD lots leading up to OV but not on OV day. So I'm not sure if I wasn't OVing on the CD I thought, or if sperm was still alive inside when I did OV. Heard this supposedly increases the chances of having a girl, so I'll have to see if that's true!!

Minnie1, I went to see a fourtue teller / clairvoyant about two years ago. It was before my wedding. Quite a bit of what she told me was a bit odd and hasn't come true (like I'd go in a hot air balloon) but a lot of it did. The freakiest thing she said was that she knew I had two cars on the drive, but not to worry as one was going. We were keeping our friends car on our drive at the time as it had no tax. The next morning, friend rang to say I was not to worry if the car was gone when I got home as he had sold it. And he knew nothing of what she'd said!

The clairvoyant said I would have two kids, and I would have a boy and a girl. It worried me as she said she didn't know what would be first. At the time I took it with a pinch of salt, but now I do wonder WHY she couldn't tell me.

She linked my pregnancy with my anniversary. Bit odd, as anniversary is in March... but anniversary is the same week as my 12th week, so whether she thought about us telling people around our anniversary, I don't know.

She was very good though, especially with the "afterlife" section, where she spoke about my granddad and knew things that nobody outside the family could possibly know.... GOOSEBUMPS!

Anyhoo, I'm popping back to bed for a bit (off work today, woohoo) and I will post later.

Love to you all. XxXxXxXx

THank you. DD (who is 2) has been telling me all week she is going to buy me pink champagne for my birthday so I can be a [rincess.

Elf1981 · 11/02/2005 09:38

Just been on pampers web site. According to their pregnancy calculator I am five weeks! Anyway, trying not to get too excited until I've had scan and been told everything is okay. Though it is hard not to tell everybody... friends, family... the bus driver.

Yesterday at work, a girl in our office who is due June was talking to another lady who has just come back from maternity leave. Had to stop myself from jumping up and down shouting "Me too!I can join in this conversation!!"

Still, me and DH being very cautious. I am not going to leave this thread until after having scan, when it will seem more real. At mo, don't have many symptoms... I'm sure my boobs are bigger but DH thinks I'm being daft. Do have sore boobs, and felt really quesy yesterday at lunch while looking at the soup. Don't feel too bad in the morning though. But without symptoms, it still feels like a dream. Unless you count memory loss as a symptom, even this early on. Yesterday I didn't have a clue. Probably wouldn't have been able to remember my birthdate if asked!!

expatinscotland · 11/02/2005 09:47

Hula,
The 20th is my big bday - go Pisces (well, and Aquarius as well, since my sister's bday is the 18th and her dd2's is the 19th)!!

Hulababy · 11/02/2005 10:01

Elf - it is so exciting in the early days, and we did end up telling parents and close firnends very early - at about 7 weeks. Our first pg had ended, without us telling a soul, at about 7 weeks. The second time I wanted to experience the excitemnt of telling everyone, so we did

Ifa nd when I get pg with #2 I am not sure what we will do though. Probably tell parents, maybe not friends.

jessicasmummy · 11/02/2005 10:23

still no sign of af or pregnancy.... not sure whats gonna happen, but im away all weekend but hope to use dad's computer to catch up with you all.

Hi everyone - well I tested last night - not being able to wait until this morning and the test didn't work at all. Was no line indicating it had completed in the first window and what looked like very faint positive in the next one. Have been feeling crampy since doing the test so decided against testing this morning. If no AF by Monday I will test then but gotta say I'm feeling very pessmistic

Hulababy · 11/02/2005 10:41

Oh Sparkly - nightmare when a test doesn't even work. Good luck for the next one.

MINNIE1 · 11/02/2005 11:28

fresco · 11/02/2005 13:03

another birthday girl!! mine is on tuesday.and on fri got 'day 21' blood test and i will know for definite if i do ov or not.

BeckiF · 11/02/2005 15:26

Well FF says I haven't ovulated and therefore can't be pregant AGAIN. I understand that FF is a fab tool, but it's awful when things/symptoms are right only to find out that it's all a crock of poo.

Hulababy · 11/02/2005 15:48

Wow, what is it with us TTC girls right now - all have birthdays coming up.

As I am sure to forget, happy birthday to everyone on here with a birthday coming up soon

Elf1981 · 11/02/2005 16:13

Minnie1, I had fun seeing a fortune teller, but my mum had a bad experience.
About five years ago she went to see one with my aunt who visits them quite frequently. My mum was told that within a year she would divorce, that I would get involved in drugs, that my younger sister would have an eating disorder, and something equally bad would happen to my older sister.
Five years on, I still haven't touched drugs! My younger sister does not have an eating disorder, my older sister is fine, and my mum and dad are still married.
I think that's the only thing to be cautious about when you see a fortune teller. How to work out which ones are good, and which ones make up a load of rubbish? If you know somebody who has seen one, and is happy with their reading, I'd go. But would advise against going to see somebody you can't get a recommendedation from out of somebody you know. The one I saw was with my now MIL who had seen her before, and I would go again. My mum is thinking about going to see the same person, who has since done a reading for my gran and my sister. It's worth it, but for every good one out there, there's about 10 who aren't so great.
Not that I wanted to put you off or anything! On a brighter note, when you get a good reading, it is amazing how it makes you feel, especially when something does happen that they predicted.
You'll have to let me know how it goes! I might set up a thread and see if other people have had good / bad experiences with fortune tellers. I'll let you know!

Dashing off now - got to start making dinner. Just got back from signing up at the doctors. They don't seem too interested in me TBH but I'm going to make sure that what is happening to a workfriend doesn't happen to me. She's at 22 weeks and still has not had a scan...
