Dyzzidi · 10/02/2005 13:14

wow i really must practice my typing sorry ladies!

munnzieb · 10/02/2005 13:28

sorry that post was a bit short!, bear in mind thou Fres I came on here just after DH went away, so we've not activly been trying the past 4 months (well 3) - his aim unfortunatly isn't that good! lol.

in the wise words of hester this is her answer to the sperms theory "Sperms can live for up to five days once inside you (though I think that's the
outside stretch - probably more like 2-3 days most of the time). Outside you,
they should be used within an hour (though I assume she's ttc in the normal way
so doesn't need that info!). That's why it's a good idea to start BDing as soon
as you enter your fertile period, and not wait for ovulation (it may well be the
sperm that went up you two days before you ovulated that gets to the egg first).
" (as a NHS worker/midwify person not sure which thou, I'd take it as red she knows her stuff!)

I think if I don't get the BFP this month I may well have a break form here, as it's soo depressing at the minute that every one's new and catching dead quick! (and the fact DH is away isn't helpin)

Becki/Tan hester says hi, and also congrats to those with the BFP's her internet is also still down!

Dyzzidi · 10/02/2005 13:39

My Partner works away and is only home some weekends so I don't want to go down the temperature and ovulationg route as I will be so frustrated if he is away when we sohould be trying!!!

The Doctor has told me it was a miracle i got PG last time and not to expect to get PG naturally again which really depressed me as it is apparently out of my hands!!

My Gynae doctor is also my Antenatal doctor and as he passed me to IVF he said next time I see you WILL be in Antenatal which nearly made me cry he is so nice.

Do you all have nice or horrible doctors.

Nikkichik · 10/02/2005 13:45

Ernest - Docs on Wednesday. Feel quite weepy today - bloody hormones. Just had a brief chat to my Mum on the phone - we both got a bit tearful. Am seeing her on Sunday so will be able to have a Mummy hug then. DH is back tonight and of course he is sad and sympathetic but men don't really appreciate what we girlies go through - there's nothing like a sympathetic Mum and I'm lucky enough to get on well with mine (mostly!)

MINNIE1 · 10/02/2005 13:49

Dyzzidi, Welcome

munnzieb,
O how i know that feeling, I have been feeling like that.. I have been here since aug 04 and nothing !!!! nearly 7 months and been trying along time b4 i got here.. I will not let you give up you have to get PG.. It hard this TTC but we will get there..

((((((give us a cyber hug)))))

Dyzzidi · 10/02/2005 14:08

My mum was with me when i found out I had M/c as partner was in America working. He got the first flight back but my mum was brilliant and i will always thank her for that.

I don't know what i would do without her and my sister!!!!!

Sometimes Sisters just know what the other is going through so its nice not to have to say anything.

mummygow · 10/02/2005 14:15

(((hug))) MB - please dont leave us. You are a fountain of knowledge and when we get bfn we all need ech other and especially mumsnetters who understand how we feel and anyway thought you were having lots of symptoms - I remember the first time before I found out I was preg I was really down - was at college and took the cold then it was Oct week but just didnt feel like going back, was arguing with dh and asked my mum could I come and stay with her - she was going to America so took me with her for 2 weeks, came back and 5 days later found out I had been preg all along - so MB just wait to you do that test (oh did you see earlier I told you and JM about test that you can do 4 days before AF due) heres another (((hug)))

MINNIE1 · 10/02/2005 15:04

Dyzzidi,
You never forget the people who pick you up after a mc.. I have found my dad and DP have an extra special place in my heart for helping me through the rough time of a mc.

MB,
When are you testing??

will anyone be testing around next wkend??

sparkly · 10/02/2005 15:11

Ok, so I know I said I wouldn't test until after the weekend but I'm now starting to think testing tomorrow would be ok. If it's CD27 of, say, a 30 day cycle - would I get a BFP or is it simply too early? Help!!!!

horseshoe · 10/02/2005 15:13

No. Due 22nd so I guess i wont be able to wait till then and will test weekend after this

horseshoe · 10/02/2005 15:14

Not if you get a first response sparkly and test first thing!

MINNIE1 · 10/02/2005 15:21

horseshoe,
Ya next wkend, I will keep you away from testing if you keep me away from testing??

sparkly,
I know i would as i tend to give in anyway.. Best of luck.. xxxxxxbaby dust to youxxxx

fresco · 10/02/2005 15:22

fresco · 10/02/2005 15:24

sparkly · 10/02/2005 15:25

Will get a test tonight and do first thing tomorrow! God, I really really want a BFP even though it's only month 2 of TTC. Think we were ok timings wise ... fingers crossed it worked!

The temptation, of course, will be to test tonight when I've bought it!

fresco · 10/02/2005 15:25

i have thought also of taking a break from MN but being on here allows me like everyone else, to moan and let it out and talk dirty (well ask crude question and all the reast).so i maybe not post as much as before but i am staying on.please stay lass!!

MINNIE1 · 10/02/2005 15:39

sparkly, the best of luck to you fingers crossed for the BFP

An annoucement to all the AQUARIANS!!!! i been reading for the last week in the stars (not that i believe it bcos it sounds too good to be true) but it says 'the news you have been waiting for, changes you have been longing for are about to happen in your life'. well........ ladies aquarians????

BeckiF · 10/02/2005 17:37

Did a test today (CD100) and got a BFN as usual. Had a slight, slight pink discharge on monday which FF says might be an implantation bleed as it occured 7 days after FF says I ovulated (again!, BUT, maybe it was the aftermath of BD on Sunday?? DP foreskin split and bled slightly, so his ejaculate had some blood in, but surely when I got this discharge on Monday afternoon (and I did have a bath on Sunday night) the colour would of been browny as it would of been old blood? Maybe it was just that I've a scratch around that area or something ..... see me trying to convince myself I might be pg again? I've had awful cramps since Sunday which seem to have eased off today .... oh, I don't know

jessicasmummy · 10/02/2005 18:35

ive got crampy pains today too..... not sure why but hey we will see! AF due on monday, so we will see!!!!

So pleased to hear aboout the second BFP Elf - congratulations!!!

Nikkichik - you do deserve that chocolate box; take care.

CD14 for me today. OPK was -ve today, and CM is not favourable at all. Temps are lower than ever been before too. OV should be around CD15-17 really, so hoping tomorrow's OPK is good.

Cori - are you lurking on here still??? Got the OPK/PG tests today. Thank you so much
