Well, it took us 6 months to conceive DD, so I'm not expecting anything for a while yet, but accupuncture did it for me. My therapist is still in practice. I think I have a phone call to make this afternoon . . .

It's not looking too good here I'm sorry to say. After the BPF on Friday each subsequent test has got progressively fainter and I think there are signs of early AF like pinkness. I don't understand, I'm so confused! I feel like s*t, I look like s*t, my boobs feel like they are going to explode and I'm really pissed off/ disappointed / sad and now I think I'm gong to go and have a cry!!! to top it all dh is away for a few days and I can't ring him Any advice/suggestions extremely gratefully received.

MINNIE1 · 09/02/2005 09:54

Nikkichik,
(((((Hugs to you honey))))))
Could you go to your doctors, how far are you gone is your AF due etc?

Nikkichik · 09/02/2005 10:04

Now there is definitely blood - looks like it's all over now! Was supposedly 5/6 days after af due, but things have been going a little crazy in the cycle department just lately. Last month was a 26 day cycle and the month before 35 days - before that 28/29 for months and months. Just can't understand why I had the bfp and then nothing! Am defo going to go to the docs now and get myself checked out! I'm 38 I hope to god I'm not getting early menopause! Feeling totally miserable now!

MINNIE1 · 09/02/2005 10:48

Nikkichik,
It the bleeding heavy?

MINNIE1 · 09/02/2005 10:56

It also could be an implantion bleed. Go and see your doc.. Have you any pain?

Hulababy · 09/02/2005 10:59

(((hugs))) Nikkichik - maybe you could go to the GP to discuss it with him/her. It could still be implatation bleed maybe. Take care.

Nikkichik · 09/02/2005 11:20

Thanks guys - it helps to be able to share with someone! Bleeding not heavy yet. I know this is probably a dumb question but what's an implantation bleed? - didn't have anything like that 1st time round. Doesn't really explain the one positive test and progressively fainter others. Have jsut booked an appontment witht he doc for next Wednesday - it's dd's 3rd birthday so not ideal timing but really want to talk to someone about what's going on!

MINNIE1 · 09/02/2005 11:51

Nik

While the little bean is burrowing itsefl in to you uterus it make cause bleeding. He is a breif discription (if it makes sense)

Taking root! Implantation occurs. Once the blastocyst gets to the uterus, it searches for a spot to settle down. Blastocyst means "sprout pouch," and these cells begin to divide into two groups - those that form the placenta and those that form the baby. The blastocyst will burrow itself into the lining of the uterus which is called implantation.

I Really hope this is what you have as some women have it some don't.. I has a little..
Has your bleeding stopped? Great you have booked the docs.

Nikkichik · 09/02/2005 12:02

Ah ha thanks for explanation. Bleeding not stopped but not very heavy either. Would like to think that's what it was but somehow can't bring myself to hope that much! Have af like pain. Have horrendous lower back pain (worse than usual). Can't work out whether it's due to picking up a 3 year old and par for the course or something more sinister - must remember to mention to doc!

MINNIE1 · 09/02/2005 12:06

when i fell PG last year i had back pain and AF pain.. You really feel like AF is on the way but nothing shows.. I would have been 4-5 weeks at that stage.. A light bleed may not be dangerous.. How far are you?

fresco · 09/02/2005 12:15

thank you guys for explanation and sharing the leakage with me.i do too putting my legs up in the air for 10mn or so but always wondered if it does anything

Nikkichik · 09/02/2005 12:31

Less than a week past suspected af date. Didn't have any of these problems first time round. Will just have to calm down and wait and see eh?

MINNIE1 · 09/02/2005 12:45

relax and wait and see what the doc say.. Will have fingers crossed for you..

munnzieb · 09/02/2005 13:27

nikki - fingers crossed for you honey. Let us know how you get on (((((hugs)))))

JM - I'm going all out if DH actually bothers to ring/email me.... ooh can't u tell AF is comin on! guess no nice pressie for him then!

Nikkichik · 09/02/2005 13:36

Thanks all, will keep you posted. God I want to go home and have a big cry by myself. Will have to hold it in til dd's gone to bed. Dh away and I don't want her to see me upset! Yesterday she had been really silly and really made me cross. After we had both calmed down and were reading a book she looked up, saw tears in my eyes, stroked my face and said 'Don't be sad my darling! - ahhhh!

pipsy1 · 09/02/2005 13:38

How long does sperm live for inside you? If you BD a couple of days before ovulation say could the spermies still be alive? Or is it best to wait until ov then go for it madly for a few days?

Nikkichik · 09/02/2005 13:41

I read that sperm can survive for up to 5 days so use that info as you will. I guess it depends on the quality of the little buggers and how persistent they are and if conditions in the relevant places are friendly. So it's a bit of a lottery.

fresco · 09/02/2005 13:52

i would bed every 2 days prior to ov and then everyday during ov and past 2 days.just to make sure
