Hi everyone....

Mind if I join you all in this thread???

DP and me have been TTC number 2 for a year although I must point out that activity has not been that frequent due to us always finding excuses like needing a new car etc. We have just decided to actually go for it and worry about the monetry side of it afterwards. We managed with DD1 after all.

Is there any advise you can give besides shag like rabbits?

Are there any natural ways to work out when you are ovalating. i know its supposed to be halfway through but any other signs?

marinda · 09/02/2005 16:35

Hi all I have been keeping up with the thread even though I am no longer on it. Am 7 weeks pg now so hoping it will last,
Nikkichic saw your post and I remember reading in a VERY useful book that if you get a positive ona test then a fainter and fainter line and then bleeding it s an early miscarriage. Trouble is these days you can tell if you are pg within in a day of missed AF whereas if you did not test and bled 5 days late for example you would just assume AF was late - possibly like you would have done if you had not tested. I hope this helps you.
Love to everyone else - missing you alot - learned so much about EWCM etc... on this thread.

marinda · 09/02/2005 16:36

Nikkichik I am also 38 so understand your dilemma !

Nikkichik · 09/02/2005 16:47

Thanks Marinda, this is pretty much the conclusion that I have come to. Am still going to go the the docs and get myself checked out. Was thinking of doing it anyway but this has just decided me.
good luck to you.

Hulababy · 09/02/2005 17:14

Nikichik - are you still bleeding then? If so, I guess you may be right So sorry. I would go to the GPs and let them know though. I always think it is worth having it on your doctors notes anyway. Yake care.

CD13. Did OPK but nothing yet. Very dark C line, but only faint T line. Maybe in the next day or two though.

Elf1981 · 09/02/2005 19:05

Okay. I caved. I did a test.

BFP!

OH MY GOD!

I went to the loo at work and had a bit of pain and was convinced that I wasn't pg. Convinced AF was going to arrive.

DH has gone out, so I thought I'd test, then replace the test so he didn't know I'd caved (ha).

But it's a BFP. Keep looking at the test and at the paper just to make sure.

Part of me is thinking... but what if it is wrong?

What do you recommend? Retesting after a few days? Booking docs appointment for blood test?? Any advice?

Sorry for those whose AF has arrived. Sending you loads of baby dust.

Love Elf

jessicasmummy · 09/02/2005 19:07

Big Fat Congrats Elf..... lucky you!!! If i were you i would re-test in a few days just to be sure..... im so jelous now!!!

jessicasmummy · 09/02/2005 19:12

Elf1981 · 09/02/2005 19:14

I have taken a photo of the test on my mobile phone. So at least when he gets home, if I bin the test, he can still see the picture!

How sad am I?

Wondering whether to nip to Tesco and get another test, just to make sure not a fluke...

jessicasmummy · 09/02/2005 19:15

up to you elf.... i still have the positive test from when i found out with jess - well one of the 4 i did!

Elf whooohoo - congratulations

JM you sound really down just now and you were the one who started us off this month really positive - hang on in there not long until Monday and at least then you will know.

Nikkichic ((hug))

right who is all sitting eating choc just now, MB dont you try to lead me astray - I joined the gym the other day and went to boxercise last night.

If I was to be pregnant this month can I keep going to gym?

Hulababy · 09/02/2005 20:46

Yes you can still go to gym mummygow - you just have to listen to your body ,ore, and not push it too far. Although, TBH, I stopped going to the gym when I was pg with DD - I was so sick morning 'till night, the gym was the last thing on my mind!
