...and we will need a new thread soon.

ClaireDeLoon · 20/11/2008 23:06

What vitamins do people take? I only take the folic acid (and then I'm very rubbish at remembering - I used to be better when I was actually hopeful about conceiving).

DP takes zinc.

MollieMooma · 21/11/2008 15:45

Claire I take the pregnacare vitamins with omega oil. Sorry to hear that your foot isn't healing as it should be, how pants you might have to have an op
Shayer Poorly foot girl too! Hope you have more luck with your healing!
Beanie What does the Agnus Casta do then?
Migola Has it sunk in yet
Must be something in the water as I fell over Weds on a wet floor at home, had to have some x-rays on my knee as they thought I might have fractured my knee cap but fortunately I hadn't just badly bruised and swollen. So making DH run around like a headless chook

Mollie waves at Blackrock Jaamy & Zen
Any thoughts on a new thread title girls??

OP posts:
ShayeraHol · 21/11/2008 18:19

I was taking the Sanatogen ones, but lost them in the kitchen refit! They seem ok, different balance to the Pregnacare and I preferred the packaging! Plus as of today I'm taking my mega mega kickarse Folic Acid tabs.

Speaking of which - anyone else on them, and anyone know if they're only on prescription? £7.10 a month is bloody expensive!

DP's rubbish at vits - I'm trying to get him to lose weight as a bigger priority (we're both a bit on the cuddly side )

beanieb · 21/11/2008 18:29

Claire - I'm using sanatogen pronatal at the moment but I have used tesco and Sainsbury own brands and one month I bought the zita west ones which were £18 and made my pee turn bright yellow!

blackrock · 21/11/2008 19:41

I just take Pregnacare.

I have been really tired the last couple of days! Could this be a sign (she wonders hopefully).

zen1980 · 21/11/2008 21:12

Hey everyone,
Hope everyone has a good weekend, I'm hopefully OV is only around the corner usually happens day 16/17 have been testing but nothing yet. Fingers crossed Migola has started the ball rolling for the rest of us x Poss new title - try try try again? ha ha x

Mammina · 21/11/2008 22:11

No Mollie hasn't really sunk in. Have been having cramps since I found out (and before) so am dreading every trip to the loo in case I bleed. Am taking the what will be will be approach and just want to get past these next 8 weeks.
Zen I really hope I've started the ball rolling for everyone else too, I really mean that, I want you all joining me on the ante natal threads (although not going there just yet) x

Jaamy · 21/11/2008 23:03

What about "All I want for Christmas is a BFP!" for the new thread?

Although diamonds and a few pairs of shoes would be nice too!

Shayera - ouch - hope your foot isn't too sore and won't take too much to fix. Next time you go to GP ask them for a 2 or 3 month supply instead of a 1 month. Or buy lower dosage folic acid and take amount equal to dosage equal to the ones that have been prescribed.

I'm taking pregnacare but the thing about all preconception and pregnancy vits is that they are so expensive it's eay to fall by the wayside when you've been trying for a while.

Migola - cramps are ok - means bean is getting comfy. Keep taking it easy though!

Claire - Am assuming you've told your ortho that you're TTC. Did they advise taking a break? Gosh, part of me says would be nice to take a break, other part of me says, what if I'd miss the 'right' time. It must be difficult trying to work it out.

Mollie - poor you with sore knee. Make full use of DH!

Hello to blackrock, beanie, zen and ei!

Can I just say that this thread has been even more lovely lately? Think we are all really rooting for each other.

MollieMooma · 22/11/2008 09:35

Jaamy On your comment about how lovely the thread has been lately, I agree or is it the last desperate acts of us all clinging to a tiny life raft in a very violent sea
Migola As Jaamy said the cramps and niggles are probably just button getting comfy, impossible to do but try not to worry we are all rooting for you

DH is p*ssed off already with having to do everything - welcome to my world honey!

Right I've updated the list by 2 days but I was 3 days out, so please check it's OK for the rest of you. I've also done a bit more housekeeping and got rid of the 60+ left after Jaamy kindly did a sort out for us, I've decided to be ruthless they can always add themselves in again can't they? I hope I haven't offended anyone x

Strictly come baby dancing....give us a BFP.

Ei..your turn.

Jaamy · 22/11/2008 15:55

I like the "Strictly Come Baby Dancing"!

Agree, the Christmas theme might grate if we haven't had 999 posts by April!

Mollie - your poor, poor DH

ShayeraHol · 22/11/2008 17:40

I like Strictly Come Baby Dancing!

Picked up the old Agnus Castus today, so going to give that a go - also got Zinc for Mr. Hol (who said "but I'll never remember" - big girl that he is). Also found out from internet research that doc might be over reacting and I might not have to take the strong ones (have the v mild form of Spina Bifida Occulta, but apparently it's only if you have the proper version that you have to worry). Fount a midway point in Holland & Barratt so might compromise on those ongoing if doc can't do a bigger script (good tip Jaamy - I'm rubbish at questioning doctors on anything!)

Also spent craaaaazy money on booze - including 6 bottles of champagne - so sod's law something will happen this month and it'll be taunting me!

Mollie - poor, poor DH. Must be so difficult for him! I have Mr Hol ironing while watching the rugby at the moment (occasional pauses accompanied by squeaks of happiness, it's quite sweet!)

migola - everything remains crossed for you. Won't bother saying try not to stress because I'm sure you can't help it, but we're all here for you to dismiss stressy thoughts when needed!

And would like to echo thoughts about the loveliness of this thread. You're all wonderful

Jaamy · 22/11/2008 19:39

Shayera - how bizarre! I too have this very day spent silly money on Champagne for Christmas. Was your purchase also at the shop where every little helps?! Just figured now that DH is probably counting on the fact that I'll be PG by then so that he can wolf the lot! Still I wouldn't mind

It's a good job men can't have babies...they'd never remember half the important things...not like us!

ShayeraHol · 22/11/2008 20:00

Mine was in a wine shop - hubby discovered he gets a 20% discount in our favourite wine shop cos he works on the same trading estate! So we spent in excess of £200 ! Not just on the champagne though, that would be reeeeeally decadent

beanieb · 22/11/2008 20:38

I like strictly come baby dancing

wave to all. Had a peak on my monitor today - day 11. Not taken any agnus castus this month but ovulation has stayed the same.

Rooting for everyone this month but seem to be on Mumsnet less and less so apologies if I don't keep up with things.

zen1980 · 23/11/2008 18:33

Strictly come baby dancing has the thumbs up from me!!
Had positive on OV sticks yesterday and today so have been a little busy ha ha, glad it is the weekend to make the most for some stupid reason i also feel incredibly nervous hope im not pinning too much on this month. Will just keep trying this month anyway x Hi everyone hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday x

Mammina · 23/11/2008 19:38

hello, still no period so I must be pregnant (!) cramping has lessened but I just don't FEEL pregnant .... anyway going to make an appt at the doctors this week and ask about the aspirin etc etc. Please think sticky thoughts for my bean! Have a stinking cold so getting DH to make me cups of (herbal) tea and been making requests for chocolate

Agree that this is a lovely thread and I really appreciate all the support I've had (and am still having).

Hope all those broken/painful limbs are ok (what's going on?!), and fingers crossed for some more BFPs this month

(like the new thread title btw)

babymadness · 23/11/2008 19:43

hi guys, wonder if any of you can give me some advice and support! i've been ttc for 5 years. I have just had my 4th cycle of clomid and they are now taking me off that and i'm starting HCG injections when i have my period....does anyone know anything about these? Any success stories? Thanks

Mammina · 23/11/2008 19:48

Hi babymadness, welcome. I'm afraid I don't know anything about HCG injections, but hopefully someone else can help. If you have no joy on this thread maybe try starting a new thread specifically about HCG to get more answers. You will certainly get support on this one though. Good luck

babymadness · 23/11/2008 19:50

Thank you for respnding anyway! Good luck....sticky thoughts!

Jaamy · 23/11/2008 21:43

babymadness - I have no experience of HCG injections but was puton clomid after nearly 4 years of trying. I am sorry to hear that you didn't have any success with that.

Migola is right. Start a thread about HCG injections and someone will answer you pretty quickly.

Wishing you lots of luck and a bouncing baby soon. x

Migola - sending you loads of buns, boiled sweets, chewing gum, toffee pudding and all things sticky!

BabyBump2B · 23/11/2008 23:07

Hi Ladies!

Can I join you? We're on our 4th month of ttc... Am currently in the tww and was very calm until the last 3 nights I've dreamt about being pregnant ALL night!

I hope you don't mind but I added myself to your list!
