That sucks, Claire - not sure the rules on TTC & ops, but would imagine it's not hugely advisable with anaesthetics etc (am of course not at all medical so is personal opinion!) Hope it;s not too serious an operation?

ClaireDeLoon · 06/11/2008 22:30

zen sorry you're back at the top. Were you doing ov pee sticks? I found I had to test so often during the day not to miss the LH surge and it stressed me out. Lots and lots of luck with this cycle.

Shayera how are things with you? Feeling OK with a no pressure month?

Well despite me having a no pressure month I embarrassed myself when I had to go for a foot x-ray today by saying to the lady that there was a small possibility I may be pregnant. That would be if I ov'd on Cd12 as we only had sex on CD11 this month [hmmm] So then I had to go through the whole rigmarole of a lead gown etc and was sitting there thinking why the fuck did I say that when having sex at the right time hasn't worked for 3 months, here I am still hoping having sex at the wrong time has resulted in a miracle.

While I was there I had my CD21 test (its CD22 but I often have 29 day cycles so I figured a day out was OK). So at least that is done!

Mammina · 07/11/2008 13:33

hello have stayed away a bit recently, to try and stop obsessing, plus have only had sex once this month and it was too early for anything to happen. So am not even going to be testing at the end of this cycle, and to be honest it's quite nice to have a break!
Those of you back at the top, sorry to hear it.
Hope everyone is well. Off to Paris for a long w/e, got family there so free accommodation and cheapo eurostar . Good luck to those testing in the next few days

ShayeraHol · 07/11/2008 18:34

Feeling a bit better this month Claire - think the break has done me good. That said, I've had some spotting today which is way early so my TTC brain was back in full force.

migola, sounds like you're exactly the same place as me this month! We did do the sex on CD13 & 14, but that's it (and that was more because it was a weekend than any grand baby plans!)

zen1980 · 07/11/2008 19:52

Claire - we have been using the cheapo ebay ones, last time got the lh surge was on weekend day when tested slightly earlier. Have been testing when get in straight from work about 6.15pm cause dont how i would even go about it at work to do it in the day?

ClaireDeLoon · 07/11/2008 21:33

zen I used to wait until the loos were empty and pee in a plastic cup (from the water cooler) (wait until it is empty though because it was so loud PMSL) but it isn't nice. Have you a separate disabled loo you could use?

ClaireDeLoon · 07/11/2008 21:34

that was obviously wait until loo is empty because it is so loud, not wait until water cooler is empty.

ShayeraHol · 08/11/2008 10:11

Spotting getting heavier today - think this is going to be shortest cycle yet.

Advice needed, folks - is it time to go to doctor about the shortness of cycles? Will they just send me away as I haven't been trying for a year yet?

MollieMooma · 08/11/2008 10:34

Shayer Your only 2 mths off a year, so you could just tell a little white lie and say it's been 12 mths But . . . . don't want to get your hopes up there are other reasons for spotting at this point in your cycle and although it may turn into AF (fingers crossed it won't) it could be implantation bleeding??
Claire I have strange pictures in my head of you peeing into a water cooler
Migola I'm glad you have enjoyed your mini-break, it is a relief isn't it not to be constantly testing and waiting, but saying that I can't wait til after Christmas when we start TTC again
Mollie waves to Beanie Zen & Jaamy

ClaireDeLoon · 08/11/2008 11:57

Shayera just tell the doc you have been trying for a year like Mollie says.

ShayeraHol · 08/11/2008 11:57

Because of ridiculous shortness of cycles, I'm 4 months off a year Mollie! So seems a lot to exaggerate by (plus am trying to remember when I had last pill prescription/conversation with doc about it). Had not thought implantation bleed - damn you, woman !

beanieb · 09/11/2008 15:25

afternoon all.

Sheyerahol, if you can get away with it lie! Even if you have had a prescription for the pl you can always tell them you stopped taking it before you did

Am getting some symptoms of PMT now so recon my period will probably arrive next week. Sore boobs, slight uncomfortableness in my abdomen etc.

zen1980 · 09/11/2008 19:08

thanks guys for the advise, think i will give anything a go this month!! Have been using the cups from the water cooler at home so in theory at least im keeping them on the premises this way ha ha. Hopefully this will be our month have just been to see my friend and her baby and cant help wishing some luck for us x

Beanie fingers crossed af doesnt get you this month and symtoms are for other reason (wink)

StickAnotherJaamyontheBonnie · 10/11/2008 14:07

Hello all!

Shayera - lie, lie and lie again! If the doc pulls you up on dates just say the stress of TTC has made you get a bit muddled

Beanie - hoping these are the right symptoms. I want to see a photo of you waddling down the aisle!

zen - I have been using the cheap ebay OP sticks too and got nothing so have been BDing every other day (at least) just in case.

This is going to be a long week. Seems strange going to the loo without peeing into or onto something!

Migola - at Paris. Hope you had a wonderful time. AM hoping DH might have to go back there to finish off some work so I can get a cheap visit.

Hello to Mollie, Claire and everyone else.

ShayeraHol · 10/11/2008 17:28

Here we go again... a foregone conclusion really, although the shortness of cycle definitely sucks. Note to self - must have the sex this month

Thanks for all the advice - lying to docs it is! Will try to get an appointment this week sometime.

In other news - stupid kitchen company ordered the wrong number of tiles for my kitchen and so I am grouchy. I suppose something was bound to go wrong, but now it looks stupid!

meh! Looks like my period is on the way, small amount of pinkish blood and goo. On;y on CD22! If this is it then my cycle has got even shorter.

ShayeraHol · 10/11/2008 20:26

Something in the November weather? I only made 22 in the just finished one as well!

zen1980 · 10/11/2008 20:34

we all seem to be on short cycles this month how strange!! when do you all start checking with ov tests when af has finished straight away everyday(just in case) or leave it to near to where you think you should be ov?

beanieb · 10/11/2008 20:35

Zen, I have a fertility monitor so it just asks me for sticks but when I was tesing with OV sticks I waited until around when I thought I would be ovulating

Am not putting myself on to the top of the list yet, will wait to see if I get a full flow.

beanieb · 11/11/2008 08:27

hmmmm - period not shown up so of course I did a test. Negative.

beanieb · 11/11/2008 14:59

HRRMMPPHHHH- Expecting it to happen any time now but so far nothing. I have no idea what last night was about. Wasn't blood as such but mucusy pink stuff. Now of coursr I am thinking 'implantation' but I know I am being so silly and my period will be here soon.

hope I have updated these ok?

Jaamy · 11/11/2008 16:40

Beanie - I tested this morning...guess what, BFN. Don't know why I possibly thought I'd get a BFP since SF isn't due til the weekend but I felt so crampy and sick yesterday that I was convinced! Guess this windy weather has driven us all a bit mad!

Will keep fingers crossed for us both.

Shayera . I know, it still creeps up on you with a even after the lack of BD. I could go a whole year without BD and then wonder why I'm not pg.

Just had a peep on the July 09 thread (yes, I am stalking them!) and found Scully.

Also Zen who was on here a while ago and

Gives us hope that we will make it to the AN boards one day

Jaamy · 11/11/2008 16:41

sorry, sorry , sorry, many apologies, Zen. I meant Knax . Brain not working as fast as hands!

ShayeraHol · 11/11/2008 19:04

Crazy, isn't it - I knew last month wouldn;'t be a goer, I was quite happy with the idea as it leaves me non-PG for Christmas parties (priorities ) - but still couldn't help but be disappointed.

On the plus side, I joined Weight Watchers last week and lost 4.5lb in my first week! So woohoo for that. If I can't get pg at least I can be a skinny bitch

BTW - BAD beanie & Jaamy for testing! Let's hope that in a couple of days you both get good news (ditto for everyone else, as we were all due to land together!)

blackrock · 12/11/2008 09:01

Shayerahol congrats on the weight loss, I have also gone for the technique....either pg or skinny. Have just bought a pair of slim fit jeans as an incentive. Last time I bought a pair of jeans I only got to wear them for a month before pg with DS, so hoping for the same effect.

I have a question for anyone who knows about temping. Over the past six months my basal temp has been at around 35.8 post AF. A while back someone suggested that this may be a reason for not conceiving. This month it is much higher post AF 36.3 and 36.4....does this make conception more likely, and why would it have changed so much?

Any suggestions appreciated!

Good luck for testing.
