Yes - still planning the wedding. I would rather have children than be married though. I am guessing that at this rate I will reach 40 and be childless and I am going to have to just let it go and live through other people's children or become so bitter and twisted that I refuse to be a part of any childs life. I am most certainly premenstrual I think.

Mammina · 17/10/2008 16:20

Mollie welcome back but wish you weren't here (in the nicest possible way). I am no expert but think in a way it can only be a good thing to leave it for a couple of months, just to give your body a rest but your mind also, it's exhausting.

Claire sorry to see you back at top.

Beanie it's such a vicious circle isn't it, because it winds you up, but the stress only works against TTC. Have you got plans tonight/ over the weekend that will keep you busy and maybe keep your mind off it a bit? Can you treat yourself to a bit of pampering or a nice lunch out with (non pregnant) friends? xx

I don't know what's going on with me, no AF but feel like I'm having stomach cramps. Did another test this morning, different brand, and it was definitely a BFN, so I guess period is on its way.

ShayeraHol · 17/10/2008 16:47

Hey folks

beanie - it's all shit, isn't it! Sorry it's getting on top of you this month. Wish I could think of something helpful to say.

Mollie - sorry to see you back here.

Jammy - Love your new name! And v good points ref credit crunch - although for me, it's just raising my stress levels to a point where I can't see this happening! Stupid job with stupid high expectations and stupid money to make...

migola - still hopeful for you, I refuse to give in until AF arrives. We need a happy in here!

Am relatively convinced I'm out for the month now. Spotting started today - well, technically late last night, and accompanied by feeling majorly grumpy. So there's only one way this is going and think tomorrow I'll be back to day 1. On the plus side, that makes this a 26 day cycle which I think is a record for me. Still pretty pissed off though - and having to play happy last night was tough. I gave up in the end and grouched off to bed at midnight.

ShayeraHol · 17/10/2008 16:48

Oh, and forgot to say (I hate not being able to edit) - sorry you're back at the top, Claire.

MollieMooma · 17/10/2008 16:55

Migola Sorry it wasn't move positive news for you but it's not over til the red lady sings! Your right about having a bit of time out, it is exhausting mentally and physically I think being pg 3 times in 9 mths is enough for anyone!
Beanie Oh honey, is it worth seeing a counsellor, I am currently seeing one and she is helping me so much. It's just a thought and might not be for you, but it sounds like you need to talk about lots of things that are going on with you at the moment, the biggest obviously being the TTC issue. Am I right in thinking you have an appt with the fertility clinic in January isn't it, I know it seems forever away and no guaranteed answers then but it might be some hope x
Jaamy LOL at sharing body heat! Any excuse Let's hope you are right though and we get a baby boom on our little thread

OP posts:
WhateverHappenedtoBabyJaamy · 17/10/2008 17:15

Shayera - 'tis my attempt at a Halloween name and I thought it rather apt in current circumstances, too! Sorry to hear things aren't so good on the work side. Stress levels don't help. Is there anyone you could talk to re: more realistic expectations?

Mollie - you are right to take time out. DH and I have been "at it" like mad things since miscarriage though I know that sensibly we should wait until things settle down. But I can't handle more waiting! Here's to some summer babies!

Beanie - think talking to someone could help. Even if it is one of your friends with children. At least then they will understand what you are going through and you may feel less like you are outside looking in when you meet up with them and their DCs. On the positive side, no one has told you that there is no way you could have children. Wait (yes, the W word again) until you have had investigations in Jan. There really could be a simple explanation.

migola - not to give you false hope BUT a friend of mine (an MNer) has very recently had a similar experience...a BFP then a couple of BFNs, then a BFP, and another and another...She has finally come to terms with the fact she is 6 weeks pg. So don't write yourself off yet.

Mammina · 17/10/2008 17:23

Jaamy I am so tired (good sign!) that I didn't even realise it was you!
It's a nice thought but I didn't really have any BFPs, the lines I saw (if I did actually see them) were very very very faint. Anyway might try not to test tomorrow (yeah right) and see what happens on Sunday if things stay the same. I do think your mind plays tricks with you though, I could have sworn I felt sick today..

pinkie08 · 17/10/2008 17:55

Hi all,

Have decided that its an evil 3 weeks wait and its just no fun.... I seem to be waiting for a positive on the OPKs after the clomid has done its work. And then onto the dreaded 2ww.

Beanieb
I know exactly how you feel. I shouldnt go on but its all so disheartening just keep thinking when will it be our turns..

Baby Dust to all

ShayeraHol · 18/10/2008 11:54

Hmmm. Not started yet, despite the spotting, and had the faintest of faint lines on a test this morning. But so faint I might have imagined it. So am now confused, hopeful, not hopeful, and not sure what to think!

Jaamy, no hope of current job being made easier unfortunately - just one of those companies, the only way to lower stress is a new job and that doesn't go with TTC (and is huge stress in itself, especially when living in the West Country when my whole industry is in the Southeast!)

How you doing today migola? Manage to resist the testing?

MollieMooma · 18/10/2008 12:00

Shayerhol Will keep everything crossed for you x

LJ29 · 18/10/2008 13:34

Hi, new to this thread but thought some of you may know the answer to my question. I am on CD 26 or 27 and have developed thrush. Could this be an early pg symptom?

beanieb · 18/10/2008 14:24

Am not sure about Thrush being an early pregnancy symptom but I googled it and got this

LJ29 · 18/10/2008 14:27

Thanks beanieb. Trying so hard not to get my hopes up! How is it going for you?

Mammina · 18/10/2008 14:36

Hi LJ, welcome - no idea about thrush & pregnancy, have never heard that before tbh
Shayera sounds like you had a similar thing to me, am so confused too. Of course I didn't resist testing this morning! Wish I had though bec I got another negative. No period though and not even stomach cramps anymore.

pinkie08 · 18/10/2008 16:32

HI migola

Keep positive those BFNs might be false and your implantation date could have been delayed which would delay your BFP.

Am waiting to do my opk for today and am desperate for wee . instructions say 4hours min got another 1 1/2 hrs to wait. Does anyone think you def. have to wait ??

ShayeraHol · 19/10/2008 16:26

Sorry migola, can't oblige this month

Right, decisive action time. This month, key focus is going to be to shift some of the weight. If that means attention off TTC, then attention's off TTC, but it's got to be done. Sure that's my biggest barrier to success.

blomey - these cycles seem to be coming and going so quickly.

If I get my period I am going to give alcohol up completely. Well... erm and if I don't

Mammina · 19/10/2008 16:44

Shayera, sorry to hear that.
OK, my big move this month is only one cup of tea a day, grapefruit juice and really healthy eating (er, starting tomorrow..!).
Come on girls we can do it
x

ClaireDeLoon · 19/10/2008 16:47

Sorry migola and Shayera

I'm completely giving up alcohol this month and getting my diet back on track. A little exercise when I can get this bloody cast off (and assuming it is all OK).

ShayeraHol · 19/10/2008 16:47

Mine are, beanie! I've only been trying since March so by rights should only be on about cycle 8. Had some very short ones along the way!

I'm also doing grapefruit juice - Mr. Hol's new job has a very good staff shop where he can get be the decent stuff cheap which is v good!

beanieb · 19/10/2008 16:51

ShayeraHol, is it 'normal' for you to have such short cycles? Mine were 23/24 days long when I first started and I had a really short luteal phase.
