ShayeraHol · 19/10/2008 17:02

It was in the early days - I'm hitting 24-26 now. Luteal phase seems to be around 10 days.

blackrock · 19/10/2008 19:12

Are we still here? I can only see upto July?

blackrock · 19/10/2008 19:13

Oh, sorry, now i can see the thread!

beanieb · 19/10/2008 19:14

I can see up to now

beanieb · 19/10/2008 19:15

My luteal phase was about 9 days to start. I have been taking agnus castus but am wondering if perhaps I should stop before I have my referral appointment thing in January so that they can see what my natural cycle is like?

Mammina · 19/10/2008 19:47

Claire have you broken your leg - did I miss that?

I've really cut back on alcohol, and doesn't seem to have made a difference - do you think getting the men to cut back would help? - wasn't there something in the news about this fairly recently or am I making that up?

beanieb · 19/10/2008 20:10

I think it's generally advised that you both cut down but the odd glass or two doesn't matter. I can be a bit silly on a friday night and drink too much wine so I will just be trying to cut that down a bit.

Think my period just arrived. All of a sudden a big gush of blood. I guess I will count tomorrow as CD1 which gives me another short cycle of 24 days.

Mammina · 19/10/2008 20:15

FFS is there something in the air today that makes us all come on. NEXT month will be our month, it has to be.
right, no wine with dinner tonight then (or maybe just one to cheer me up

ClaireDeLoon · 19/10/2008 20:24

Beanie - sorry TEW got you - how long was your LP this cycle?

Broken my foot - cast off next Friday HOORAY I will be able to wash my foot PMSL

It does seem that there are a few in cycle and it being the people who post most is nice I think for support.

beanieb · 19/10/2008 22:03

Oooh - sorry to hear about the foot!

Well, the weird thing is I ovulated on day 12 this month which is 2 days earlier than recent months and 4 days earlier than is usual. So my Luteal phase was 12 days...

What a weird month - perhaps it will be ours next month!

ShayeraHol · 19/10/2008 22:07

Does make it easier in a way that we're all around the same time now! Let's try to all get our BFPs at the same time now ;) Sorry you're joining us, beanie. And now you have to give up the booze

Have successfully enlisted Mr Hol into the trying to lose weight/cutting down booze mission - with a bit of luck, if we both get a little less porky it might move things along. Plus make us both happier & less stressed!

Is Agnus Castus worth a shot? Don't want to overkill on the suggested remedies, but the evidence on that one looks worth a go. Not sure if best to stop taking it or not - I guess if you've found a way of extending your cycle, then that's your cycle now (but maybe someone who knows what they're talking about can offer better advice!)

ClaireDeLoon · 19/10/2008 22:08

A luteal phase of 12 days is good! I don;t know what to say about stopping the AC before appointment - I know what you mean about letting them see the natural cycle but what if it is helping and what if the cycle you stop taking it would have been the one? I personally would carry on taking it and explain. Take a list of your cycle history etc and they will see what has happened.

beaniescreamyb · 19/10/2008 22:30

sorry about the name - it's my halloween name but I seem to have killed the thread I changed it for. Woops.

I have been told - don't take Agnus Castus if you know you have underlying fertility issues like PCOS. I only started taking it after I had all my blood tests and because my luteal phase was so short. I've also been taking a bit more vitamin b.

WhateverHappenedtoBabyJaamy · 20/10/2008 00:10

Shayera, migola and Beanie

Claire - thought I could smell something! Hope you've had plenty of sympathy for your foot!

CD1 for me too yesterday (Sun). Just 24 days after evacuation. How weird is it that so many of us are at the top all at once? So, it's (nearly) action stations, all hands to the pump as it were! Going to be quiet on here in a week or so...

Shayera - I've promised myself that I'll be sensible this month too. Have put on nearly a stone before/after MC.

Am going to take Vit B too following request from DH who got a bit of a battering the week from PMT.

Have updated stats for Mon but not put you at CD1, beanie, just incase the evil one doesn't indeed arrive.

pinkie08 · 20/10/2008 13:57

Hi all

Mid cycle bleed on day11 while on clomid but havent used opk yet as usually do them around 4pm and think you have to do around same time every day???

ShayeraHol · 20/10/2008 19:03

Evening ll!

Welcome back to the grindstone, Jaamy. Next week is going to be verrrry quiet! But the 2ww should be fun...

pinkie, think you do have to do them same time every day. What did you do in the end?

Am already struggling with the old weight loss in the office - I keep wanting to snack! V v bad. But on line for a much better week, which is good, I even managed to get out of the office before 5:30 which is a complete rarity!

I feel like I should get a Hallowe'en nickname to join everyone else, but I'm just not creative enough

Mammina · 20/10/2008 19:23

Hi Jaamy, welcome back.
Have been quite good today, been on the herbal tea, and only one 'proper' cuppa. Bought some grapefruit juice but haven't had any yet, will have some for breakfast tomorrow.
Shayera I know it's boring but how about rice cakes for snacking - if you like marmite the yeast ones are actually not bad, or dried fruit - don't eat too many apricots though as they give you really bad wind - not a good look in the office

beaniescreamyb · 21/10/2008 10:11

Blimey this period is SO heavy.

MollieMooma · 21/10/2008 11:30

Beanie Shayer & Migola Sorry she got you guys

OP posts:
ClaireDeLoon · 21/10/2008 11:33

Welcome back Jaamy - hoping for a BFP that is sticky for you.

pinkie08 · 21/10/2008 12:16

Hi shayer

I decided to do them 4pm when home from picking up dd from school. was -ive last night even after the 'midcycle' bleed. was that just a clomid blip as its now gone.

'midcycle' bleed never ever happened before, am hoping for the +ive today or tomorrow. (acupuncture tomorrow).

isnt it a funny game we wait for one +ive result only to sit and wait another 2weeks for another result.

WhateverHappenedtoBabyJaamy · 21/10/2008 13:55

waiting, waiting, waiting...argh! Doncha hate it.

Thanks for welcome back, everyone.

Pinkie - not sure about midcycle bleed. Might just be the clomid settling down your cycle. Could you call hosp/clinic to ask?

Beanie - me too with the heavy bleeding! So much so that I have had to use maternity pads. Will be calling ER at Women's hospital if it persists. Don't think it's right, especailly after evac only 3 weeks ago. Surely there's not that much there to flush out! Sorry if TMI.

irishmama3 · 21/10/2008 18:51

LADIES i know I haven't been around much but i have been keeping any eye on things.....i got my BFP and was just lying low to make sure it was a sticky bean that hopefully will be my June baby ..so far so good on day 31 cycle 7.........so baby dust all round. you guys have been more support than you'll ever know and i just hope all your dreams come true......fingers crossed for all of you and thank you

ShayeraHol · 21/10/2008 22:03

Congrats irishmama! Best of luck with the next few months.

Cheers for the tip on the rice cakes migola - usually can't stand the things, but the yeasty ones were tolerable. Smelt like marmite, tasted like marmite smeared on polystyrene

Mr Hol's getting grouchy about TTC now - apparently his new job's full of pregnant people and he wishes that we could join them. Have so far resisted the temptation to shout "now you know how I feel!" very loudly at him...
