Hello All!

I think i'm new to this thread

Congrats Jaamy. Brilliant news

Hold tight Jael and test again in a few days. Fingers crossed for you

Can i get added to this list please? TTC1 CD14

ShayeraHol · 26/08/2008 12:38

Congratulations Jaamy! That's great news.

Those CBD tests seem to be producing a lot of BFPs, I'm choosing to see that as a good sign for me next week (clutching at straws or what ).

migola, so sorry to hear your news.

makingafamily, welcome to the thread! Hope your stay is a short one.

Had not realised that this is CD20 already for me - not sure where the month's gone! Not feeling hugely hopeful this month, but having just got to the end of 3 months of hell at work think that next month could be much more likely (assuming hubby finishes his stoopid computer game that's keeping him up till 2am ).

daisyj · 26/08/2008 13:36

jaamy - congratulations!

migola - so sorry . You sound very philosophical about it, but it's still hard, I know. I'm sure you'll be pg again in no time. x

beanie - WAIT!!!!

makingafamily - welcome and good luck

shayera - hide that computer game, girl!

ShayeraHol · 26/08/2008 14:30

I'm letting him finish it over the next couple of days, daisy - that way he owes me

beanieb · 26/08/2008 14:31

Will update tomorrow if no one else does... hope no one minds?

Am feeling a bit icky, sore boobs, can smell the fabric conditioner on my shirt

but knowing my luck I'll get my period in a couple of days. We timed everything quite well this time. Fingers crossed!

ShayeraHol · 26/08/2008 14:33

All sounds promising, beanie - everything crossed for you!

Mammina · 26/08/2008 15:59

I'm ok daisyj, obviously gutted but just glad that it wasn't later in the day - it would have been a lot worse if it had been a few weeks down the line. Am keeping positive and going to go on a bit of a health kick until my next period to make sure I'm in optimum health for the next try (she says with a cup of tea and triple chocolate biscuit..!)

I am still exhausted though it's weird. Just had another 2 hours' kip.

loustillwantsaBFPtoo · 26/08/2008 17:04

oh jaamy - There is hope after all, after months of nothing! I am soooo pleased for you!
Beanie - i vote for wait, but I totally understand your impatience! I havve everything, and i mean everyting crossed for you! I really want you to get your BFP! xxx
Welcome to new ladies, hello to my regular buddies!

Sparkly08 · 27/08/2008 17:46

Hi ladies,
Not much to report here...have been keeping myself fairly busy and trying to relax about being pregnant but am on constant knickerwatch..

Welcome to all the newbies. Lots of luck to all of you.

Migola So sorry for your loss. Hope you are taking care of yourself.
OMFG Jammy!! Am over the moon for you lovely! It's so great to see you get a BFP after all these months. Fingers are tightly crossed for a great 9 months for you.
Beanie Am really hoping for a BFP from you too missy. Only checked in to see if there was news from you.
Blackrock I'm so sorry to see you back at the top. Everything is sounding very positive though so fingers crossed that it will be your month.

Hi to everyone else.

leaky · 27/08/2008 19:01

Hi everyone,

It's a nightmare coming on here & reading lots of threads....I just want to test!!

How you doing beanie? I know i should wait at least til tomorrow to test(AF due Friday) I know I could still get BFN anyway cos only day 32.What does anyone else think?
Problem is I have the freebie CBD test which I'd rather keep until Friday but I also have a normal CB test. The difference between them for testing a few days early is quite big though.Testing 2 days early with digital is about 94(or was 97)% accurate & with the normal test it's only about 87%.can't remember exact figures but looked at it last night.

Anyone tested 2 days early & got a BFP.I guess you wouldn't be on this thread if so though.

leaky · 27/08/2008 20:11

Ok,I'm back again, & now my feelings are that I'm going to try & be strong til Friday if possible as I really don't want to see a BFN

Any news Jael and beanieb?

beanieb · 27/08/2008 20:58

Going to test tomorrow... I think. Good luck for friday Leaky!

beanieb · 28/08/2008 07:50

not this time just used the trial test and got 'not pregnant'.

My cycle has been averaging 26 days but is usually 24. Am on CD 27 and still no sign of it

Mammina · 28/08/2008 08:25

oh beanieb I'm really sorry, I was convinced you'd get a positive. Next month will be our month xx

leaky · 28/08/2008 08:35

Beanieb, don't feel too downhearted. We'ren't you experiencing symptomc? It could still be too early to tell because even though it's around your regular cycle time, I always think it could be only 3wks & 6 days(less really since OV)so your hcg levels are likely to be low still.
Don't want to get your hopes up unneccessarily but maybe you need to wait and see what happens, either your AF will arrive or it won't

As for me, AF is due tomorrow & I spent all last night restless from strong period pain & a raised temperature. It's worn off a bit now but I'm still quite hot.I think AF may be on her way.
What do others think? Does the raised temperature mean AF or pregnant. Not getting my hopes up anymore now though

beanieb · 28/08/2008 09:39

I am really quite upset this time round. I had symptoms but yet again I am guessing they were made up.

Since I was told by my doctor that it will take a year for me to get further tests (making me almost 39 and a half by the time that happens) I feel like I will never have children. I am too old for free IVF and I can't afford to go private I am getting close to accepting that it will never happen for me.

Perhaps in a couple of days I will feel more positive but right now I feel terrible and this is going to be a tough month for me anyway with my brother and his wife about to have a baby. I feel like I should bow out. I know lots of people get pregnant after months of trying but I feel like it just isn't going to happen for me.

Jael · 28/08/2008 10:16

Hiya, I just want to update everyone. I had my BFP yesterday on the new clearblue test, however I'm not very hopeful (I know,I know) I've been having an immense amount of pain and cramping, like period pains, and after alot of mums said their first pregnancy after removal of mirena coil resulted in misscarriage I'm even less hopeful. My hospital have actually got their fingers out for a change, and I'm goin for a scan this afternoon, keep your fingers crossed for me please, I'm so emotional...Jael x

Igotwheels · 28/08/2008 10:36

Good Luck Jael

I have temporarily name changed from Blackrock as trying to exercise, and not think too much about TTC. DH seems not too worried if DC2 never comes along, I think he is trying to make me feel better.

I am hoping to stay at the top of the list this time. Have reached day 7 with noone joining me. Keep it up girls. Goodluck to all those testing, testing or waiting, waiting !

Beanie I think you should try researching any other help you can get and if you can get it earlier in another area.

One of my friends got her BFP after seven years at the age of 40 (clomid) and another after six years at the age of 39 (no intervention.

beanieb · 28/08/2008 10:39

Igotwheels, what kind of other help do you mean?

I can't afford to go private.

Should I register at a different doctor's surgery or are there nhs clinics I can visit without my doctor being involved?

Igotwheels · 28/08/2008 12:53

This is what i am wondering. Other people seem to be able to get help earlier.

I have had one DC already, we have been TTC for over a year. I am thirty five.

I had irregular periods after DS1 and got a referral within three months of seeing my GP. I had a scan which confirmed everything normal. I had another app, after a year if TTC and am on the list for another app in six months.

I have been told that i will be offered help at that app.

My point is, everything I have been told has given me a short timespan to wait and direction on what will happen.

I am in the south west. It just seems odd you have such a much longer timescale when you are 39. I thought it was six months once you reach thirty five?

Does anyone else know if you can register elsewhere? Beanie are you just seeing your GP who is telling you about the long wait? It might be worth trying to see another GP?

beanieb · 28/08/2008 13:08

Ah - well I have had a scan, I think it was normal. They didn't say otherwise and could see I was ovulating. I am worreid about everything from Fibroids to my mucus not being compatible with my OH's sperm.

I am being referred for more tests like I h=guess a lap and dye, sperm/mucus analysis (Post coital test apparently) etc.

My GP has always been really nice but I don't think she's realising I am worried about the age thing. I alwaus knew I would be pushing it to have more than one child but I feel a bit like even that seems unlikely now.

Sorry for being so down in the dumps, it's just that I am disappointed again.
