Oh migola - didn't get a chance to post yesterday, so haven't said hello and welcome yet, but as I seem to be the only other person around this morning, wanted to say I'm here. Will come back on in a bit to see how you are. Is your DP with you? Hang in there. Still might be OK - could just be the bean burrowing in more. xx

Mammina · 23/08/2008 10:24

thank you daisy & lswabfp. DP is with me yes, GP called back & said all I can do is wait a week then do another test (unless bleeding & pain gets worse), said there's still a chance pregnancy might go ahead (fingers crossed). meant to be going camping this morning for the w/e, have decided to go ahead, it's not like we're going to be in the middle of nowhere, we're near a town so if it does get worse I'll be within reach of a hospital.
better go pack
xx

daisyj · 23/08/2008 11:24

Good for you - the best thing is to try to carry on in the normal way, but I know it's easier said... Will be sending you good thoughts over the weekend. x

Jaamy · 25/08/2008 00:55

migola - hope that bean has stuck. If it helps (though it probably won't DD1 was conceived in a tent so it is conducive to bean nuture!

Beanie - sorry ooops nearly apologised for the insensitive comments of other people. Hope you aren't letting them get to you (I know it's difficult). Chin up, chuck, we'll get there together. BTW, I only had to wait a couple of months to get a lap and dye whan TTC DD1( but that was 6 years ago).. I now it varies depending where you are but a year seems a bit long.

Welcome Mizzfalla. My DD1 was a clomid baby and she is a real joy. Hope it works for you.

Welcome also to irishmama and fairywing. Daisy - Lovely, lovely, lovely news for you. So glad little bean is doing well. Made me smile

CONGRATULATIONS to ipod! Here's to a bouncing April/May Baby!

Had an over-the-fence conversation today with NDN (28 weeks pg) about how miserable she was, being fat and up the duff and all!!!! Very difficult.

Right (a lot of my posts seem to start with "right" or "ok" or "so" because I just don't know what is going on!). CD30. Had spotting on CD28...then nothing, spotting on CD29...then nothing. Cycle has been anything from 21 to 37 days over last 6 months and AF lasted from 2 to 7 days. Tried to have a bit of a grope (sorry if TMI) of cervix today, Was low and hard this am, higher and soft this pm. Dying to use test (brand new CBD!!!!) but don't want to aee BFN. Will prob test tomorrow am if no sign of AF overnight.

And while I'm on the subject of the new CBD. Why on earth would someone need to know when they conceived, unless ofcourse they are unsure of the parentage? Please someone tell me there is a more sensible reason for this.

Anyway, night night all. x

Jaamy · 25/08/2008 00:55

"bean nurture", sorry, tis late!

Mammina · 25/08/2008 11:06

Thanks beanieb & jaamy. BTW I hope it wasn't my earlier posts that were insensitive, I did think after writing them maybe I shouldn't have - about my friend who got pg naturally when about to start IVF - I thought a positive story might help, or if it was my post saying I was PG. Sorry, didn't mean to offend if I did.
Anyway, came back from camping a day early - glad we went, but I was still bleeding & stomach pains and just wanted to sleep all the time so we came home last night. DD had a lovely time though so was worth it, and it was good to keep my mind off it (sort of). Slept for 12 hours last night (in my lovely comfy bed & DH has taken DD out this morning so having a lazy day.
x

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 25/08/2008 11:15

hi to everyone else
congrats to those with BFPs
sorry to anyone who AF has caught up with

xx ei xx

beanieb · 25/08/2008 13:18

gosh - no one is being insensitive

Jaamy - good luck for this month and lucky you being able to find your cervix! I may crack and test tomorrow too, though I am getting pains in my breasts and iin my stomach so can't help but think my period will arrive on teh dot tomorrow.

Hope things are better Migola?

queenie, no symptoms except convincing myself I have super-smell, possibly because the whole house really does smell of cauliflower cheese rather than the fact that I am pregnant!

Mammina · 25/08/2008 14:56

Beanieb fingers crossed tomorrow if you do the test.
I am feeling better thanks, stomach cramps hardly there today and bleeding has slowed down. Thing that unfortunately my little bean has gone though as there was a lot of bleeding - in fact was just thinking it's weird because if I hadn't done the test when I did, I would have never have known I was pregnant bec I would have just assumed it was a period.

firesam · 25/08/2008 17:34

hello all can I join you? am a reg under guise! prob know a lot of your ladies, DP & I had a scare this month, (BFN this am) which sealed things for us as we were both gutted, so for one month only we're going to be trying, and then wait until after xmas to start properly in January (hope i'm not too early to join you) - as althou we won't 'actively' be trying - we also won't 'actively' be not trying iycwim.

so I am on CD?? (thought CD 1 last fri but have only been spotting and felt horrid hence the test today after it stopped on sunday) but spotting seems to have recommenced. Usually have 28 day cycles. I have 1DS of 2.5. (not DP's) and have had 3 prev m/c's - so lets hope any bean stays put.

am looking forward to getting to know you all.

Just updating - not that I am obsessed with counting the days or anything hope I have got this right.

Advice needed please: I am on CD 24 and usually have a 24 day cycle. However last month my cycle was 26 days and the month before was 30 so fertility friend is telling me to test on Thursday rather than tomorrow. I don't want to test, get a BFN then test again and so on. Really I know I should have the willpower and sit it out. The other thing is I ovulated on CD15 so this makes me only 9DPO so I KNOW I should just wait it out.

what would you do! I think if I test and get a BFN then I know I am not pregnant and a bit of me just thinks 'get it over with now'

am I being supremely stupid?

Jaamy · 25/08/2008 22:27

[drum roll]
I am with child!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, according to the new CBD test, which I'm not sure that I trust. DH is trying not to get his hopes up. Will be getting a bog standard Tesco's own HPT tomorrow to double check. Have been cramping and aching all day. It only took little over a year so there's hope for us all. Will hang around here until I'm certain, though, if that's ok with you ladies.

beanie - I've felt exactly like you - sore breasts, cramping. Had spotting Fri and Sat. BD last night and even DH was surprised at the position of my cervix. So decided to test this am and BFP. You never know, you could be pg too. Would be lovely to have some company...

Migola - Sorry for the confusion. When I said insensitive comments, I was referring to beanie's friend who hasn't had any problems TTC and had been telling her to relax and just BD when she felt like it and it would happen. Nothing you've said. This thread is all about TTC and success stories as well as not-so-successful stories. How are you? So sorry the bean has gone. Hope you'll have a sticky one soon.

Welcome firesam - sorry to hear about your mcs. Hope this thread brings you luck.

Ei - well with MyDingaling delivered and Biglips about to pop too we need to keep the Liverpool population going. If I can do it, so can you. Throwing lots of scouse babydust your way, hun. x

blackrock - glad the vits and positive action seems to be helping. Hope it's not much longer for you to wait.

If I don't post for a while it's not because I've abandonned you for an antenatal thread. DOn't want to junx this bean. I'm going to Paris with DH for a few days. He's working and I'll be...errr...relaxing...without DCs. take care til I get back. Hoping to hear about some more BFPs then x

beanieb · 25/08/2008 23:04

[smil] Way to go Jaamy - GET IN!!!!!

Jaamy · 25/08/2008 23:06

Thanks beanie - good luck for whenever you decide to test.

beanieb · 25/08/2008 23:58

Am so so pleased for you.
It's so nice to see you get your BFP after so long and am sending best wishes for the next 9 months and beyond.

OH moaning at me to get off laptop but just had to say how pleased I am.

leaky · 26/08/2008 08:51

Hi everyone,

Congratulations Jaamy so wonderful to hear your news.Enjoy your pregnancy, it's such a special time.

How you doing beanieb? I'm on CD31 & AF is due on CD34 & really struggling with testing.I want to so much but know I'll probably get a BFN as it's early but just want to know. I know it makes so much sense to wait because a BFN might really be a BFP a few days later. Had some cramping a few days ago. Can't decide if my boobs are sensitive or not anymore as I keep touching them so much!
The only little indicators for me are (sorry to those who have read all this on another thread) what my hairdresser said about my hair colour going funny when applied( she asked me if I could be pregnant as your hormones affect your hair in the first 3 mths) & also I've been a lot more emotional than usual. Even when AF is due I'm not usually emotional.
But I don't feel pregnant.

Maybe anyone else out there wondering should go and get their hair coloured

firesam · 26/08/2008 09:08

leaky - I didn't feel pg last time around, I only tested TBH as it was yelled pointed out to me mid row, that I was being a moody cow and was I PG! test the next am yes yes I was! so good luck.

jaammy - congratulations, hope you get on OK.

beanieb - I'd wait if you can till thurs/fri - but then again I can never wait, so i'd prob do 2 cheapo ones but not be too despondent if it was a BFN as i'd think well was too early!

anyhow off to a cracking start this month so far - (er, twice over the w.e) and twice last night! so all is good, and fingers crossed - poor DP next week! am thinking i'm on CD 5 today, usually OV around CD12-14 ish I think.

Moonlit · 26/08/2008 09:21

Jaammy - Congratulations, you jaammy lady

I hope you have a fab pregnancy!!!!!

x

beanieb · 26/08/2008 09:34

Hey Leaky - We should encourage eachother to stay away from those tests. I resisted this morning and my OH has asked me not to do one without him being there so I am going to wait until Thursday - or beyond if I can!

No symptoms really apart from shooting pains in my breasts (a bit). Was extremely irritated in Sainsbury yesterday but that was more to do with the numpties and their trolleys and I was ok once I left so not sure if it was PMT or not!

Firesam, have fun with your OH!

Jael · 26/08/2008 09:55

I've posted this on the may thread as well. I'm on both threads and wanted some words of wisdom.I did a test this morning at half 6 lol cuz I needed to pee, I've got an appointment at the hospital tomorrow for something else and I wanted to know for def before I went if I was pg or not. BFN came up almost straight away, under a minute,so i went back to sleep! Looked at it again at 8 oclock before throwing it in the bin and theres a faint line. I'm guessing it's an evaporation line, even though obviously I don't want it to be. It was a cheapie test if this makes a difference. I do feel pregnant, unless it's in my head. My boobs are huge even DP has noticed lol and I feel sick and tired ALL the time just like I did at the start with DD.

beanieb · 26/08/2008 10:13

Unfortunately sounds like an evaporation line if you looked again more than an hour later. Do one again tomorrow to be sure.

How long is your cycle normally? Could you be testing a bit early?

Jael · 26/08/2008 10:44

I'm not sure to be honest, 29 has been my shortest one,it's normally in the thirties.

Mammina · 26/08/2008 12:01

Jaamy great news, congratulations!
Jael don't want to get your hopes up but try again in a couple of days. I had a BFN, then 2 days later a BFP (although didn't work out unfortunately).

Just came back from hospital (GP sent me there this morning), & they confirmed that the bean has gone . So beanieb can you put me on your list of TTCs please , not sure where I am cycle wise now though, they've told me to wait until I get my next period before trying again.

Beanieb wait til Thurs if you can, I know it's hard!
