Hello waves could i join your lovely thread please??

I'm 25 TTC#1, Cycle 1, CD 15 I think AF is due on 1st September ish as i'm pretty sure i ov'd on CD13 - i had some cramping and a tiny tiny bit of EWCM.

I have endo and no idea whether its going to affect my fertility. I just finished a course of treatment fr it to try to improve my chances of conceiving and am on my first cycle since then so no idea how long my cycle is anymore. Before that i have been on the pill almost continuously since i was about 11/12 years old.

So i'm trying not to get my hopes up for this month but finding it very hard!!

IpodMermaid · 22/08/2008 12:23

Hello. Yesterday I got a BFP! Totally unexpected, thought cramps were just AF taking forever to arrive! Obviously delighted but a bit shocked too.

BeanieB - glad to hear that all your tests are normal and you are in the system now. I keep my fingers crossed for you (and everybody else) can you take some hope from this old git getting PG (especially as I wasn't relaxed, I was totally uptight about the whole thing).

Now I can get back to being totally worried and anxious which is what I do best...

Baby dust all round.

beanieb · 22/08/2008 13:04

OH Congratulations Ipod!

Is it weird to have finally done it

Welcome Fairywing, I'll add you to the list!

fairywing · 22/08/2008 13:19

Thanks

Jael · 22/08/2008 13:37

Congratulations Ipod! Hope you have a wonderful pregnancy. I'm CD27 today, and as this is my first month trying, as I had my mirena coil out the start of July, I don't have any clue when AF is due,I'm guessing around CD32 or so,should we keep BD? Think DP is getting a little tired as weve done it everday for the past 3 weeks lol

Jael, I'm not sure what you do just after having the coil removed. Hopefully someone else will know but I think it would be ok to stop having sex, even if just for a couple of days so you're both not too tired or stredded

IpodMermaid · 22/08/2008 13:51

Thanks all. It is very peculiar, unreal but lovely.

Not counting chickens etc

Moonlit · 22/08/2008 14:19

Congratulations! Sars and IpodMermaid*.

Beanieb - I can't believe your waiting list is 1 year!!!!! That is appalling. Did your GP not give you an option of five fertility units? My hubby booked my referral appointment on Wednesday for the 22nd of September 2008. Well I am on cycle 21, so I have had enough . But I am still trying to keep my chin up.

Good luck!

x

beanieb · 22/08/2008 14:32

Moonlit - she didn't give me a choice, should she?

Moonlit · 22/08/2008 14:43

Well Beanieb - in my PCT (primary care trust) you get a choice of five units. I thought this was the same everywhere, but maybe it isn't. It must be another postcode lottery thing. But no harm in asking right? "Do I get a choice in the hospital for fertility treatment". Or something along those lines.

I really don't think them making you wait a year is right!

x

beanieb · 22/08/2008 14:48

I've already been told that I am too old (38) for IVF. I think the limit is 38 years and 6 months in Wales, so I am not expecting IVF. I want teh other tests (lap and dye etc) and that's what I would be waiting up to a year for - according to my Doctor anyway.

leaky · 22/08/2008 14:56

Hi all.

Congratulations Ipod! So fantastic and really pleased for you

Jael, you're on the same day of cycle as me,CD27, so we could be testing together! My AF has been on day 34 for the last 4 cycles & before that I had never been regular so at least I have more idea now & can try to be patient(not that I am thou!) Your poor DH,everyday, lol, that made me laugh!

Jael · 22/08/2008 15:28

Yay, I have a cycle buddy lol I'm planning on doing a test next friday, was going to be 1st sept, but I can't wait that long,so gonna do one on fri, when are you planning on testing leaky?

leaky · 22/08/2008 15:42

Hi Jael.

I actually tested this morning, don't know why, think it was because one of my two boys was driving me up the wall.Anyway, way too early, which I knew, so got BFN & afterwards was really annoyed cos I'd wasted a test even thou it was just a cheapie one.Oh well.

I'm still getting very mild pains on & off but really gonna try so hard to wait until Thursday at the earliest. This is our 1st mth TTC#3 & I can't afford lots of tests. I have a clearblue one from a while ago & also the digital freebie.Good ones to see a BFP on
Let's hand hold til then Jael! Good luck

Jael · 22/08/2008 15:47

This is our first month TTC number 2. Weve got a daughter aged 2 1/2 who desperately wants a brother or a sister. I have a friend at my daughters playgrouup who's due in 8 weeks. Me and DP had to have the "talk", when she asked how the baby got in there. DP decided to tell her that it was from a "special seed" I have since found her searching in my kitchen cupboards AND the washing machine, for these "special seeds" lol

Mammina · 22/08/2008 15:52

OMG I am pregnant!!!! Haven't posted on this section before but have been TTC (no. 2) for a few months and have been dipping in and out of this section. DD1 was conceived ridiculously quickly so was worried things had slowed down (I will be 38 in Jan). Sorry just had to tell someone! Don't want to tell DH over the phone so have to wait a few hours til he gets home. Did a test 2 days ago and was negative, but just got a very clear line just now! Am so happy but shaking too plus a bit sad that DD will no longer be the baby - will be lovely for her though.

beanieb · 22/08/2008 15:56

Oooh Congratulations

Moonlit · 22/08/2008 16:00

Hey Migola - Congratulations.

I would love to know some of your stats e.g how old your DD1 is?, and long it has taken to conceive you new little bean?. Sorry I am just a bit nosey .

x

Mammina · 22/08/2008 16:03

Thank you very much. Fingers crossed for everybody else including yourself. A friend of mine who is 40 was just about to get IVF (don't know if it would have been NHS or not - she's in London) when she fell pregnant naturally, under a year after that baby was born she fell pregnant again!! Good luck x

Mammina · 22/08/2008 16:06

Thanks Moonlit, DD1 is nearly 19months old, and we started TTC for no. 2 when she was 12m so that's about 7 months. I suppose it's not that long really but DD1 was conceived super quick

beanieb · 22/08/2008 22:06

Must not test this weekens, it would be rediculous, must resist

Just because my period is due in two days, I still must not test! I should give the tests to someone to hide!

Moonlit · 22/08/2008 22:33

beanieb - 1 YEAR FOR A LAP AND DYE????

Are they taking the p*. I am in shock. Surely that can't be normal? Besides 38 is not old. It will happen just be positive and no early testing ok!!!

beanieb · 22/08/2008 22:43

Not sure if the doc was just preparing me for a long wait... it could be less. I wonder if they would take my age into condideration and bump me up the list? I have started looking half-heartedly at how I could have it done privately but I am prepared to wait and see for a couple more months as all other tests on us both have come back ok and I don't have strange or irregular periods.

She did mention that they might do a post-coital test to see if my body is rejecting his sperm which sound interesting

Anyway - It's only been 11 months, anything can happen so I am staying positive.

My period is due in the next three or four days but as I have a short cycle and I ovulate late I probably should wait before I even contemplate testing!

Mammina · 23/08/2008 08:40

Shouldn't have got excited so quickly, woke up with stomach cramps this morning and have bled, just been on the phone to NHS direct, waiting for GP to call me back

loustillwantsaBFPtoo · 23/08/2008 09:52

sorry migola hope you are okay xx
