Hi all!! Had my scan this morning and all definitely clear now. Just need to wait for AF which I'm told could be anything from 3-6 weeks from now. I think I'll consciously leave the discussion with DH about when to start ttc until AF as otherwise I'll just think about it too much in the next 3-6 weeks.... That's my theory, anyway!

Work was ok but was confronted with a couple of congratulatory posters for a member of staff who's had a baby boy. Am pleased for her obviously bit seemed a bit harsh to be hit with that. I guess not all my staff know exactly what's been going on for me though...

Had a brief conversation with my boss. Not sure if I said but he did send me an email apologising for the timimg of his email the other week. He's coming to meet me for a coffee on Wednesday...

Kay , tink , and LB - sorry you're feeling so ill with headaches and sickness. I know it's easy for me to say but it will be worth it - just ensure you are taking it as easy as you can

Cal - good to hear from you. Keep doinking!!

calsworld · 30/06/2008 21:39

Oh, I didn't realise how pessimistic I sounded - I didn't mean too, I'm quite happily GOF'ing at every opportunity - dodgy tummies allowing! Just not thinking about getting pg every waking moment of every day!!

Also, did I mention I'm using Pre-seed this month? I bought a small pack of three to start with but really like it so have topped up with a larger multipack. Don't know if its my age or whatever, but I def. appreciate the extra lube and DH is loving it too .

Hi Ses, I can't imagine how tough this has all been for you, and you have my full sympathy. Good to hear the scan has confirmed an all clear so you can move forward and start new plans.

Kay, good to hear you're doing OK too. Keep drinking that water and it should settle soon hopefully.

LB and Tink, hope your sickness passes soon too. Popcorn, your story is lovely! I just read it out to DH and struggled not to cry for you (with happiness)! Then we had the "OMG what would we do if we got twins!" conversation...bit scarey!!!

NJ - where are you, get your backside over here and entertain me!!

kayzisexpecting · 30/06/2008 21:46

I have decided to cut out my morning coffee. Just incase. I doubt one coffee will be causing them but you never know.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/07/2008 07:07

Morning all

Good but busy day yesterday, spent the morning in town spending my birthday money, (and a bit more - don't tell DH will you?! ) This months grand plan is to put the two boys into the same bedroom together..... so I have a new light fitting, paint, a new lamp, we are going to order some bunk beds, new bedding for them both, and curtains at some point this week, the only thing left to sort is the carpet/flooring, not sure what to go for, think laminate would be much more practical, but then it bangs when it's upstairs.... arghhh decisions decisions!

And spent the afternoon in the hairdressers I am trying to grow my hair - not an easy task! Problem is, my hairdresser is great and will only take off exactly what she needs to, but then I say something like "can you do something to that bit?" or "put a few long layers in there please" I must drive her mad! Result is that it is a fair bit shorter than it was, but easier to style, which has to be a good thing right?!

Ses, really pleased you got the all clear, I hope the next few weeks whizz by for you

Tink, I think I beat you, belly wise! Though very of your stretch mark free-ness! Wouldn't show a picture of my bare belly for less than a million quid!

Cal, I will email later - glad you are OK though, and you don't sound pesimistic, I am sure the doc is the right decision! Even if he does send you away, at least that would show that he isn't worried that the Endo is causing a direct problem IYKWIM? Hope all of the high flying/meetings and birthday went well?

Right time to get ready, I have my scan tomorrow, thought I'd be nervous but the doppler is keeping me right, if I can hear the heartbeat, it has to be OK - or that is what I'm telling myself anyway!

Ses15 · 01/07/2008 07:35

NJ - oooh! I'd lost track of the fact that you've got your scan tomorrow! I'm excited for you

Right I'm off to work. Probably won't be back on here until about 7pm now so hope you all have a good day!

tinkspregnantwithnumber2 · 01/07/2008 08:35

morning

ses glad that you can move on you sound very positive and what a great attitude about waiting 4 af
before chat

cal good luck with preseed sounds good
hi nat your day yesterday sounds great
what time is your scan tom? i have midwife tom @ 11:30 am annoying so late hate waiting. at least my scan on mon is @ 9:20am

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/07/2008 09:14

Thanks Ses Can't say I am excited, I know that sounds bad, but if I wasn't so damn nosy I don't think I'd even go They creep me out a bit, I actually found the internal scan less freaky than the normal tummy ones I'd had previously

Morning Tink It's at 9.30, but I think we may be pushing it to get there on time, the hospital is 20 minutes away, we have to get DS1 to school at 9, then get through the last of the rush hour traffic (which stretches the journey to about 30 mins) plus once we have got to the hospital, we'll have to firstly find a parking space within a 5 mile radious of the hospital, then it takes about 5 minutes to walk (even at a fast pace) to where they do the scanning - will be cutting it fine! Hope midwives goes well, you could probably persuede her to try to find the heartbeat

Diege · 01/07/2008 09:31

Morning . Good to hear all this news of scanning, v.exciting . I have midwives appointment for a week on Thursday for booking in, and am awaiting sacn appointment. Not crazy about scans I must say, mainly because of my experiences with dd 1(I won't bore you with the details), although you may get the idea if I tell you that the novelty wore off for me after 15 of them .
Still snowed under with A level marking; deadline is this Thursday but will have to ask for an extension I think! If I'm not on for a day or two you know what I'm doing! (oh and managing to have a good drool over Nadal ). And how good was that Andy Murray match yesterday?!!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 01/07/2008 09:43

Morning all,

Had a nice long weekend so haven't been on since Thurs.

Congrats Aunty on your BFP!

NJ - nice to have you back, been far too quiet without you and good luck with your scan.

Sorry to hear about all the sickenss and headaches people are having - hopfully it will be my turn to experience all of that soon!

CD33 today so still a week away from testing. So far I am holding out ok, we shall see how I fare with the rest of the week. Could probably just about start testing Thurs/Fri but want to leave it a few days longer. I know I won't believe a BFN if I test earlier. Have had lots of "symptoms" but as I tend to get them before AF anyhow they could mean nothing at all. Just got to wait I suppose....

Hi to everyone else

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/07/2008 09:51

Cor Diege - booking in hey? Exciting stuff Time is flying by, doesn't seem like 2 minutes since you both got your BFP's! In fact it doesn't seem like 2 minutes since Kay got hers! Hope you manage to stop slavering over Nadal get on top of Nadal the marking...

Thanks Playing Things hotting up for you now

Playingthewaitinggame · 01/07/2008 10:02

Yes they are Nat. I seem to be very good at convicing myself about symptoms. E.g I am exhausted today so that must be a pg thing whereas in reality I just had a bad nights sleep . If this takes months I think I will become truly obsessed .

I also really want to catch soon as I've just found our my next door neighboor is 7 weeks pg so it would be nice to have someone I knew pg at the same time as me!

Diege · 01/07/2008 10:06

LOL Nat...he is a real distraction. Yesterday dh had friends over from Canada and rang me to say they were having a drink up the road and would I join them. One problem, it was in middle of Nadal match marking!!!! Of course I went, but was getting increasingly anxious being aware from the tv...so craftily pretended that dd3 has gone in her nappy and I would have no choice but to return home, tee hee!!! . Have e-mailed asking for an extension, so fingers crossed!
Playing, good to hear from you . You have the will power of a saint I must say!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/07/2008 10:14

Didn't have a clue who this Nadal is (other than he plays tennis!) but he is quite nice I suppose

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/07/2008 10:17

Not sure looking at pictures of a bloke all day is a good waste use of time... and I don't normally go for the long hair types.

DS1 has sports day this afternoon, I couldn't possibly be late

Diege · 01/07/2008 10:41

Ooh Nat you are naughty . Love the piccies, esp the second...now come on admit it you wouldn't kick him out of bed for toast crumbs now wouold you???

Playingthewaitinggame · 01/07/2008 10:52

PMSL - you two are so funny, haven't you got anything better to do?

Hi Deige, Patience is something I've learnt over years of being ill! Plus, I've waited 6 months on these boards ttc, so a week really is nothing. I am sure the waiting will get harder if it takes a while to get pg.

Diege · 01/07/2008 10:59

That's a great attitude Playing - do you actually have any of the dreaded sticks in the house???
Damn it, I can't stop clicking on those links...

kookykid · 01/07/2008 11:07

Hi everyone,

I reckon we should do a wagon thread test all on the same day as everyone is due to test around the same time! Although Playing I think you might be due to test first (I'm due to test on the 10th).

Hope the scans go well and you made it on time, NJ! And I just have 1 thing to say about that 1st picture... PPWWWOOOOOOORRR!! Diege, are your loyalties going to be split today?? Spanish Beauty or the British Beast?!

Cal nice to see you again! Come back soooooon! Interesting about the Preeseed as was thinking about getting some too, but have to say the grapefruit juice increased my CM so much we didn't need it in terms of lube (TMI!).

Shall we start a testing list?

kookykid · 01/07/2008 11:11

Just added pics of the kittens to my profile.

tinkspregnantwithnumber2 · 01/07/2008 11:12

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/07/2008 11:13

Diege · 01/07/2008 11:21

Aww Kooky, the kittens are so sweet!! My fave is Beryl . LOL at split loyalties, though think match is Wednesday?? Hand on heart I will have to go with my man, though won't be too disappointed if Murray swings it (remote chance methinks).
OK, off to spoil another 17 year olds future...

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 01/07/2008 11:21

Sorry x posted - kittens are lovely Kooky

If I can find the heartbeat Tink, then you'd expect anyone can, but I think it does depend on the position of the baby/womb/and a load of other stuff!

Stats - middle aged, lives with his mother, erm.... do I need to go on? (please say no, because I know nothing else about him....!)
