Has anyone here had a HSG? My GP has offered to do one (assuming Im not pregnant this cycle and just wondered if anyone had experience here?

LizzieM98 · 08/04/2026 09:05

I got a positive digital 1-2 weeks 🥰

AussieMum888 · 08/04/2026 09:36

Congratulations @LizzieM98 !! Such wonderful news. Wishing you all the best :)

Did you do anything different this cycle?

Pollyanna123456 · 08/04/2026 09:39

@MamaSleep - looks positive to me, congratulations!

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy - I'm so glad I'm not alone with the hidden pee jar 😅!

I've got a flashy smiley on the CB ovulation kits - does anyone know how often you have to wait until the solid one appears?! And should I also be testing in the evening??

DmcinT · 08/04/2026 09:50

@MamaSleep definitely a line there, congrats 🥳

No but I think on another thread someone had a Hycosy which I think is an alternative so you could ask for that? They got pregnant the month they did this and I’ve heard of stories that it’s in a roundabout way helped unblock slightly anything there. Don’t quote me on this though I’m no GP 🤣

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy it’s a pretty good idea to be fair! Yes I agree and we always blame ourselves too when it could be male not doing their job!

Ah so similar in terms of starting points! It’s really hard with irregular cycles isn’t it! I’m CD1 today which means I only reached 10dpo which is unlike me and this cycle was 25 days. So in the time we’ve tried I’ve had 25,28,32,35,25! I’m hoping it starts calming down! Have your temps stayed up?

I’m taking the wild nutrition one which is meant to be very natural but I have thought this on whether it’s actually helping!

@MamaSleep I would say it’s positive! Congratulations and fingers crossed for good progression!

@LucyCL Fingers crossed for you!

Yes, we are at very similar points! And yes, I definitely feel it worse when AF arrives and it’s another cycle which hasn’t worked ☹️

Ahh, sorry to hear the AF arrived today! A 10 day luteal phase does feel rather short, especially when it’s not your normal! Hopefully it’s just everything settling down after the CP?

What are you thinking with the prenatal? Take this month off and see what happens?

I’ve heard of the Seven Seas and the Pregnacare ones affecting cycle length. But if the wild nutrition one is natural it might all be the CP instead?

And so hard with irregular cycles! Feel like I lose weeks/ months just waiting for ovulation. 2ww is so short in comparison 😂 also hard to time dtd!

I’m not tempting as up too much during the night with my dreadful non-sleeping 2 year old 😩 just Lh testing with cheapie strips. Im still dtd every other day to cover all bases. Last month i got such a clear peak so feels very odd not to have the same this cycle. Not expecting much this cycle as feels hormones must be off.

Creepyoctopus · 08/04/2026 10:37

@LucyCLim also 1dpo

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 08/04/2026 10:46

Glad to know I’m not alone with the pee jar madness too 😂 @Pollyanna123456

I haven’t used the CB ovulation tests before, I used cheapie strips. Once I start getting EWCM I do start testing twice a day as the peak can be so quick! Would imagine the CB tests work in a similar way?

LucyCL · 08/04/2026 10:49

Creepyoctopus · 08/04/2026 10:37

@LucyCLim also 1dpo

Good luck to both of us ! ❤️

Pollyanna123456 · 08/04/2026 11:35

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy - I've gone for a bonne maman one so it is at least aesthetically pleasing 😅!

I never caught my surge on those ones and it stressed me out so much last time ttc so thought I'd give these a go - think I will do morning and evening just to be sure as I do wonder if with my cycle it goes quite quickly as it's recently shortened in length!

MumOf3amazingkids · 08/04/2026 12:41

TTCFTM2026 · 08/04/2026 08:57

That's what I was expecting! Still not got my period so it's looking like I either got my dates wrong, or irregular cycle following coil removal.

I did another test this morning. I swear I could see the faintest line but DH couldn't see anything and nothing showing when I took a photo so think it may have been wishful thinking!!

It should get stronger by tomorrow or next if it was a true line not an indent. What type of test did you use? I would have inverted it and done all sorts to edit the picture if it were me. Hahaha. I was convinced I could see a line some days back but it never became more evident until AF arrived. I have added some supplements to use this cycle. Fingers crossed for you. I'm glad you aren't out yet.

I have had both HSG and Hysteroscopy done. My HSG experience was so horrible. I never want to relive that experience again! For some, it wasn't a bad experience at all. However, I have heard that the pain triples if the tubes are blocked. The hysteroscopy was fine. Just mild cramps and a few days of bleeding after and it was over. Just my experience.

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy

I think it is from CP still as last month was shorter too but more spotting. Also the night before last I was really stressed so wonder if it just shocked my body into AF. Do you find with your PCOS you’re more sensitive to stress?

yea so I’m going to take b12 and folic acid and cut my prenatal for a bit. So I’ll take these and then zinc, magnesium, inositol, iron, vit d and vit b6… and I’m going to add in aswaganhda… might as well set up a pharmacy 🤣

I stopped LH this month as wanted to try like switch off from it all and might just keep like that for another cycle. I am going to try focus on stress management a bit more now as I think that’s also impacting me!

mangomama91 · 08/04/2026 21:40

Hey everyone!
I'm joining again! I feel oddly positive this cycle. I'm in the TWW at the moment. Not sure when I'm due on (around the 14th-17th, my cycle seems to have got longer since TTC) so I'll be able to test next week 🤞

Hope everyone is well and 🤞for us all!

LizzyRL · 08/04/2026 21:42

@mangomama91i think we are similar timing. My peak test was last Weds so predicted ovulation was last Thursday. Fingers crossed!

Chellooo · 09/04/2026 07:36

12dpo and stark white first response test. Pretty sure im out again. Rapidly losing hope at this point as any other pregnancies we conceived first try... just feeling very lost. Is it worth seeing a doctor? Can they even do anything?

How long have you been trying if you don’t mind me asking? It’s really tough isn’t it!

I went to see the GP as my cycles were really irregular. They were really helpful and did some blood tests straight away to confirm ovulation and rule out PCOS. They then said to get back in touch if I wasn’t pregnant in 6 months. Basically gave me an idea of when I ovulated which meant I timed things much better this month. It’s worth getting in touch with them!

I would second this! With my first I went to my GP after 6 months of trying and they were really helpful with general blood tests too to check all my levels are ok from b12 and thyroid etc as sometimes it’s not even the hormones you’d expect interfering, I’ll be going back again next month for our second as this time I’ve also had irregular cycles but never been diagnosed with anything

Chellooo · 09/04/2026 13:47

Ah that would have been month 10 of trying. Im honestly sitting here so deflated. Im 40 so very aware of time ticking and if im being honest guilt is eating me alive. I lost my son last year to tfmr, the decision was absolutely the right thing to do for him, and the pain/suffering he would have had if hed even survived to term, but a dark part of me is thinking this is some fucked up sort of karma and he was my last chance. I have photos of him when he was born that I haven't even been able to bring myself to look at, but I feel like maybe doing it today. I don't know, I'm all over the place today.
Im so sorry for the spiral but my god this is so hard. Im very blessed that I have my 2 year old running around here but its so hard to put on a smile for him when he sees "mama sad".

TTCFTM2026 · 09/04/2026 18:47

Line eyes please?! Took photo with and without flash. Both DH and I think we can see a line...

Not sure how many DPO, or cycle length as only just had coil removed at beginning of March!

Going to test again with first morning urine but hopes are definitely up...
