TTC baby number 4!

TTCbaby4 · 16/02/2026 15:20

Hello, just looking for some advice and I guess, somewhere to offload!

Me and DH are currently trying to conceive baby number 4, but, I haven't had a period since August 2025.

February 3rd - February 7th 2026, I noticed spotting when I wiped. Pinky, very light, then some very pale orangey, and also some tinged in clear cervical fluid.

One app suggested this was my fertile period..

Another suggested it was my period.

February 5th I started using clear blue digital ovulation tests and on the 5th - empty circle
On 6th I got a 'Still smiley' so, DTD.

Had full, heavy feelings in right side ovary (my dominant ovary) then and since then, but tracking LH with premom tests, all showing 'low' (Highest 0.42)

Cervical mucus now 'thin, lotiony, but I'd class as drying fast or, on the drier side ' on 16th February.

I've been wanting to implement the shettles method but, obviously without having had a period of a structure to my cycle, I'm struggling.

So, feeling a little depleted with attempts.

Anyone else had these struggles with not knowing if or when you'll have a period or ovulate?

I feel like I'm wasting my time.

How old are you? Is it usual for you to go so many months without a period? Could you be perimenopausal?

Yes, I've had occasions where I don't have periods for a while,

Usually after doing low carb for a little while, they return - which I have done, and then noticed the spotting February 3rd - 8th.

I'm 32 in May.

Youngest will be 2 in May. Still breastfeeding but not as much as obviously he's eating, so mainly just at night now.

Before conceiving him I had an absence in period for a few months, and they returned and conceived him first cycle using clear blue ovulation tests.

I think it's more PCOS related at present.

Although my post hasn't currently got many responses, I wanted to update my post, for myself to look back on during the TTC journey, or for anyone else who may come across it and find it helpful.

I started temping this cycle and had a couple of clear blue digital high readings and a peak.
I was also using the cheapie premom ovulation sticks to test alongside, but I think, looking over my data, that I just have a low LH baseline and that I peaked at or around the 13th Feb when I got my highest reading of 0.52 at around 6:55pm. Around the 13th -15th I had very noticeable ovary sensations, pressure, heaviness, etc which I have felt before during ovulation in previous TTC journeys.

I've marked this as my peak on premom and have done so, in relation to the rise in my BBT temping on the morning of the 16th February.

I didn't have much mucus this cycle but I'm putting that down to how irregular my periods have been recently (not had a proper bleed since August 2025) and had some light spotting first week of Feb, because I've been following a low carb diet and lost 1st 10.6lb since January 3rd. And , in the past this has helped bring my cycle back (Good for anyone who suffers with PCOS, Or in general)

Now, I'd be about 5-6 dpo at this rate, if my body is in fact doing what I'm thinking it is.

I went for a wee this morning and there was pale pink spotting mixed in some very light, thin clear mucus. - I'm hoping possible implantation given the prediction of how many days past possible ovulation, but, I'll keep updating this post until it's clear of the outcome.

I’m also 5dpo and have had cramping! 🤞🏻 I just had to have an hour and half nap on the sofa. Feeling shattered. Is this your first child?

TTCbaby4 · 21/02/2026 00:14

@Londonderof2 No, this will be our 4th!
I've had cramping, headache etc and a second amount of clear mucus, a little more than earlier, again with tinged light pink blood.

Mixed opinions online about whether it's too early for implantation, and I know none of my symptoms are pregnancy related as there's no hormone this soon after Ov. But, who knows. I'm pretty doubtful given how irregular I've been. 😂

Is this your first? (Just noticed the name being 'of 2' so, your 3rd? 😂
Did you enjoy the naps 😂
How long have you been TTC this time around?

Sorry duhhh! That sums my life up, constantly rushing everything as always over stimulated hahaha.

Yes, TTC our third! According to my Flo app and sticks, I ovulated on Monday. Which I think makes today 5DPO? Or does it not work like that? lol. This is our second month trying but it took me 9 months to fall pregnant with my daughter as I was trying the ‘Shettles Method’ it did work!!! xx

TTCbaby4 · 23/02/2026 15:52

I got this today... But clear blue line, clear blue digital and first response digitals were all negative....

Possible false positive? :(

TTC baby number 4!
OP posts:
Londonderof2 · 23/02/2026 17:36

I would say that’s positive?!? Have you done another since? X

TTCbaby4 · 23/02/2026 17:40

@Londonderof2 I used a digital but was negative, that said, digitals require a higher level of HCG to be positive. I'm going to test with a digital in the morning I'm only about 9dpo today,

(I have a few more first response tests arriving tomorrow so, will do another one when they arrive too) and then again on Thursday morning and just keep checking for lines and line progression 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ah no. :( I spent a lot too!

Still no AF for me, but then my cycles are a mess.

Fingers crossed for some baby luck. Although , I'm a little worried about a December Christmas baby for TTC this cycle 😂😩

Londonderof2 · 07/03/2026 08:33

I feel like the cycles come around so quickly! But the two week wait between ovulation and period drags haha.

My son is a December baby! But I never go full time due to previous difficulties. So it’ll end up being a November baby. Wishing us luck this month 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 xx

I have a May boy, September boy and October boy, so, I'm a little nervous for a November or December baby as that seems to indicate an awfully expensive end to a year haha!

Good luck you you this month @Londonderof2 x
