TTC baby number 4!

Hello, just looking for some advice and I guess, somewhere to offload!

Me and DH are currently trying to conceive baby number 4, but, I haven't had a period since August 2025.

February 3rd - February 7th 2026, I noticed spotting when I wiped. Pinky, very light, then some very pale orangey, and also some tinged in clear cervical fluid.

One app suggested this was my fertile period..

Another suggested it was my period.

February 5th I started using clear blue digital ovulation tests and on the 5th - empty circle
On 6th I got a 'Still smiley' so, DTD.

Had full, heavy feelings in right side ovary (my dominant ovary) then and since then, but tracking LH with premom tests, all showing 'low' (Highest 0.42)

Cervical mucus now 'thin, lotiony, but I'd class as drying fast or, on the drier side ' on 16th February.

I've been wanting to implement the shettles method but, obviously without having had a period of a structure to my cycle, I'm struggling.

So, feeling a little depleted with attempts.

Anyone else had these struggles with not knowing if or when you'll have a period or ovulate?

I feel like I'm wasting my time.

Ah welcome @KatieBee25 you have very similar ages to mine. We have 9, 6 and 1 but all very nearly 10,7 and 2 in a few months! I’ve loved the age gap between 2 and 3 but hoping for a smaller gap for 3 and 4. Xx

I’ve got an almost 6 year old, 4 year old and 2 year old 🥰

@laesosalt it's so nice to chat to people who are ttc for a 4th as I feel like everyone I know in real life has 2 or 3 kids and are done 😂 I will also get to 10dpo. Not feeling very hopeful as I ovulated on day 14 and we only dtd once in my ovulation window on cycle day 13. But I guess you never know!

@CPHB2021 yes I've also enjoyed the bigger age gap between 2&3 but it'll be nice to have a little friend for my youngest who's close in age 🥰. Did AF arrive for you? Was catching up on the thread. Did you think you had a chemical? Ttc is so hard and I'm so impatient already! Xx

Hello everyone welcome to the thread, i do agree is it nice to talk to people ttc number 4 sometime i feel people can be quiet judgemental unsure if that’s just me, im trying to stay positive im either 5 or 7dpo my apps are telling me different things fingers cross for us all this month 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

AF still hasn’t arrived. Though my cycles haven’t been that regular, when I had a chemical is December is took 60 days for my cycle to come so I really hope that doesn’t happen this time. I took an OPK last night as read that it can detect HCG, it was negative so I do really think I’m out this month but u til AF shows, it’s so difficult to totally give up. I might buy a cheap test tomorrow as I haven’t tested since Thursday. X

Ladies I just don’t know what to think! I just did an OPK ( have no pregnancy test but I just feel so pregnant ) it looks positive to me, I haven’t done OPK’s for a while, does it seem positive to you? I dipped another test into the same urine and that one is deffo negative. I’m going to buy a pregnancy test tomorrow but I’ve heard OPK’s can detect pregnancy…!

Had another positive one and this mornings OPK is quite light. Maybe just a LH surge before my AF is coming. Sorry to be a burden on this post lol! It feels better than badgering my long suffering sister all night with OPK’s 😂🙈✨ grateful to you all!

@CPHB2021 doesnt hurt to try a pregnancy test but I know what you mean, I over analyse everything in this waiting to be pregnant stage and it's draining!
like now I'm only 5dpo but got more cervical mucus than usual so overthinking maybe I'm pregnant even though implantation wouldn't have happened yet 😂🤦‍♀️ x

AF has finally arrived. Weirdly relived. When do people usually start to take OPK’s ? We’re going away early July which may align with ovulation. I hope so as usually easier to DTD 😂

I know what you mean @CPHB2021sometimes it's a relief when AF arrives so you can focus on the next cycle. I'm 8dpo today, did a test this morning. Negative 🙈 don't know why I tested as told myself not to until 10dpo so now feel rubbish and down and that I'm definitely out this cycle 🙃

I do that every time. I’m really going to try to hold off until 12dpo this time as I’ve had so much disappointment recently. Try to not test for a few days. You probably wouldn’t have even implanted yet! Xx

Yeah I'm going to not test tomorrow and maybe I'll test at 10/11 x

It is a relief when you know you need it come to move on. Hope you’re ok! I started my first OPK on CD8 and ovulated CD14 so could have started a bit later but it was nice to have something to do each day 😂 @CPHB2021

Hello all due on tomorrow took a test and negative so definitely out this month had an appointment with the gp this morning they are going to refer me to the fertility clinic not that they’ll be able to do much as i already have children

Hello ladies! I’m CD15 today ( usually have 35 day cycles ) so thought I better start doing OPK’s and these are done with the same wee…. Both look positive!! I guess I’m ovulating a lot earlier this month?! But seems that a long luteal phase is not good, so I hope not. Who knows. I’ll continue to test daily with the OPKs and hope to baby dance in this awful heat tonight 🫠🫠🫠
