TTC baby number 4!

Hello, just looking for some advice and I guess, somewhere to offload!

Me and DH are currently trying to conceive baby number 4, but, I haven't had a period since August 2025.

February 3rd - February 7th 2026, I noticed spotting when I wiped. Pinky, very light, then some very pale orangey, and also some tinged in clear cervical fluid.

One app suggested this was my fertile period..

Another suggested it was my period.

February 5th I started using clear blue digital ovulation tests and on the 5th - empty circle
On 6th I got a 'Still smiley' so, DTD.

Had full, heavy feelings in right side ovary (my dominant ovary) then and since then, but tracking LH with premom tests, all showing 'low' (Highest 0.42)

Cervical mucus now 'thin, lotiony, but I'd class as drying fast or, on the drier side ' on 16th February.

I've been wanting to implement the shettles method but, obviously without having had a period of a structure to my cycle, I'm struggling.

So, feeling a little depleted with attempts.

Anyone else had these struggles with not knowing if or when you'll have a period or ovulate?

I feel like I'm wasting my time.

i don’t get ewcm so it does worry me a bit i know it’s quiet important i stopped producing it after my youngest was born and just seem to always had the thick creamy stuff but not loads and it seems that going to be the case that’s good we can get threw it together fingers crossed for you x

For lack of Ewcm, you could use some preseed during your fertile period?
you can get it on Amazon, it's sperm friendly and mimics fertile mucus so helps to get the swimmers to where they need to be for ovulation.

I think I’m definitely going to try that next month if we have no success this month how are you feeling? We managed to dtd a few times but i still have a negative feeling x

I was feeling hopeful for this month and we've dtd pretty consistently covering all days, but now in early stages of the tww and I can already feel the impatience creeping out 😂

I’m 2dpo how may are you and same Its so infuriating because id rather use cheapies to find out but obviously they have to have higher level of hcg i hate wasting a clear blue or first response just for it to be negative x

I think I'm a day ahead of you, so 4dpo today.

I’m trying to hold out until at least 10dpo i woke up with cramps this morning but that’s very very typical for me to cramp around a week before my period is due

Sorry, busy few days, just had my 32nd birthday yesterday and my youngest is two today, so we went to the zoo yesterday and today is a garden party.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up either way haha, I gave up with the shettels method and figured what will be will be, - I wouldn't mind a girl this time, being it's likely my last, as I've got three lovely boys over the last 13 years! but who knows!

We spontaneously just decided this cycle to give it a go so we actually only had unprotected sex once (on my ovulation day). Will probably count next month as “properly trying” if you get me 😅 What about you? So hope you get your little girl x

not much longer now and we can all start testing fingers crossed for us all i have start testing my temperature not really sure on how it works i think I’ve started it a bit late but hopefully i can try get into the routine of doing it anyone else do bbt? X

This is my 3rd cycle, Ive had one chemical since trying, but period to starting I hadn't had a period in about 6 months or so, so my cycles have been unpredictable! As for you, it only takes one time, well timed so! Fingers crossed for you. We only done it once when TTC our current youngest, as Ovulation lined up right when we decided to try! - I've always wanted boys to keep my other boys company, it's all I've known for 13 years, but now, I'm leaning towards a girl for my last, so, it really would be lovely.

What are your 3? Are you hoping for either or?

Yeah, it would be lovely to have a positive test this month, would feel very special!

I was doing BBT at the start, but I gave up because I couldn't consistently wake at the same time, and I couldn't tell whether I'd been moving around a lot at night as still night breastfeeding my 2 year old. So, it made charting too much of a headache 😂
The one I had connected the results to the premom app for tracking, I may give it another go if this cycle isn't successful but, I do find the more I add to it the more obsessive I get 😂

My husband would love a girl but I’m content with either. We found out the sex for all 3 so I recon we will leave this a surprise. Just hoping it happens quickly 🤞🏼

same that’s why i started doing it as i heard it can confirm pregnancy as well as ovulation just thought it might be worth it I’m doing okay today how are you?

@laesosalt aww boys are just the best. Well fingers crossed, it’ll be my partners first baby so i don’t think he really minds but there are no boys on his side so i know his parents would love a grandson,

it’s worth trying that’s what i thought anyway and same it’s going slow I’m not too hopeful for this month but still keeping my fingers crossed

I'm girl hopeful but I just want to be pregnant now, I know it's only my 3rd cycle (I think) but it feels like it's going to be a long journey.

I can't work out if I'm actually 9 or 10dpo today but, I didn't realise that my 'sensitive tests' were all used up so, I've had to order some so, I won't be able to test until they arrive, though, I'm losing a bit of hope on my end this cycle 🫠 I thought I'd have some symptoms or something, I'm a bit convinced my cycles are a little too wobbly to have a successful month yet.

How long have you got to wait , what do are you @laesosalt ?

I’m only 6dpo 🫠 I’ve picked up some tests ready for testing later this week but gosh it’s a pain waiting haha. We literally only DTD once in my fertile window so not getting too hopeful but my third was a one hit wonder so we’ll see 😂

@TTCbaby4same here tbh we only have a few more months Of Trying then we are having To take a brake as all my 3 children are born very very close together and i don’t want another baby born around the same time, im 9dpo so i think you are 10 now i personally wont buy any better test unless i got a positive on a cheap test then i got a bit nuts.

same I’ve definitely lost hope i really don't think this month is my month i just get an intuition, in fairness last time i got pregnant i had no symptoms whatsoever but i did get a very very small amount of bleeding about 9dpo so don’t give up hope x

@laesosalt yes my youngest was a one hit wonder 😂 I had high and naive hopes this time around, clearly haha.

@Creepyoctopus I felt the same about having a baby around September - December, we have September and October kids and our wedding anniversary is October, then with Christmas in December.. it's all getting a bit expensive 😂 but, future cycles are clear with now being in and around the February due dates onwards, but yeah I think after this cycle, I'm going to stop buying pregnancy tests and just track the ovulation and write down any patterns I noticed cycle to cycle, rather than try and make sense of things online 😂

Every pregnancy I've had I've just 'known' before the positive test, because I could almost feel it, some how, super early on.

But oddly, this time around I just feel it's not happening, I think I'm worried more with the older I get too 😂

The waiting in the tww is like no other 😂
