8dpo and getting like period cramps! Trying to not overthink, can’t test tomorrow anyway as I’m away lol so let’s us see if my period turns up soon

mangomama91 · 08/03/2026 16:18

I'm about 7-9dpo and all day my nipples have felt so sensitive and I can just feel them being there, if that makes sense?
Yesterday I had some cramping so 🤞🤞🤞

CaffeineAndChords · 08/03/2026 16:25

Hey all. Were TTC after my partner had a vasectomy reversal last year.
Following a good sperm sample we’re praying 🙏🏻
Ovulation should’ve happened around Wednesday 4th, had a positive OT that day and had the usual symptoms.
The wait until I can test feels so, so long. Wishing you all luck xx

My husband had a VR in October so we're on a similar journey 🙂

Ours was end of Oct too! He had his vasectomy 3 years ago and we were told we had pretty good odds so keeping everything crossed. How did your husband find it? Hope it went as well as possible, wishing you luck and sending baby dust ❤️

Oh wow! My husband also had his 3 years ago!! His results were good and he was told out odds were good too!! So exciting!!! He was ok but ended up needing more time off of work than he thought he would. How was your husband?
I hope it's a smooth journey for you!!! And we both get exciting baby news this month! 🙂

Ahh amazing! Fingers and toes crossed for us both, ❤️ it was a pretty rough recovery here too, not as easy as the vasectomy so he tells me! Xx

@Flataf have you contacted the Dr for blood tests? At 15 days late your tests should be very much darker by now if you're pregnant. My concern would be ectopic if you're getting faints this late in the day but no progression. At 15 days late I would really ask your GP for blood tests asap just to make sure.❤️

Exciting @CaffeineAndChords and @mangomama91 - best of luck! Why did they get the vasectomies - did you change your mind about completing your family or is it new relationship? (If you don’t mind me asking!)

My DH nearly got one last year after we finally decided we were done…and now we are ttc again I’m relieved he was too disorganised to book it in!

Thank you!
Yes, new relationship here. My partners ex blackmailed him into having it - said if he doesn’t have it she won’t sleep with him anymore, then decided the following month that she wanted to separate from him! 🫨

Aww, everything happens for a reason right? Wishing you the best of luck ❤️

Just checking in. Today is CD16 and this will be the fertile week for me. Currently I am quite calm. I used to be super anxious and kept checking the threads on mumsnet a lot (24/7) while I was trying for baby 1. I even posted a lot of questions about ttc on musnet. Especially after two early losses, I was always restless and kept doing blood tests to see what was wrong with me. It was really hard for me back then. But I would like to check in more often and try to answer any questions based on my ttc experience if I have time. Good luck and sending love and hugs to everyone here!

Glittertint · 09/03/2026 14:00

Soooo I’m triggered!! And my first thought was to come to here for I don’t know what, empathy?!

I’m on holiday and whilst ordering some cake!! The waitress asked me how many weeks I was!! 😒 I was so taken back I just said no weeks and I ordered and walked off to my DH!! Like yes I’ve got a 2 year old who I carried very high and my stomach hasn’t quite been the same shape when I’m bloated (granted it’s holiday too) and I’m slim so it kinda looks worse, but you don’t presume if you’ve just met someone!!!

Alwaysgrowing · 09/03/2026 14:11

Just saying hi, I think I've found my group. I'm tracking periods on flo app, ovulation due this Tuesday. Been TTC since the beginning of the year. Got 2 older kids and I'm 34.

Glitter tint I got asked that once after I had my eldest too.

EmeraldPie · 09/03/2026 14:15

I'm feeling quite disheartened again as have not been able to conceive since my MMC in early Dec. I know it's only been two (proper) cycles but timed everything I thought quite well. My period came yesterday again. Both my last two cycles have been a consistent 28 days. Ovulation happening around CD16 as getting my peak reading the day before that. BBT rises too to confirm. Thinking of getting my progesterone tested this cycle at 7DPO as I've never tested this and want to see it's sufficient. Other than that I've been told everything else is normal as I had a few examinations due to the miscarriage.
Is it unrealistic to be disappointed?

Alwaysgrowing · 09/03/2026 14:15

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy with my now toddler I tested on the day or so before my period was due, so maybe similar to you or later, and nothing, so had some alcohol on holiday, a week later, positive....oops on the alcohol but all was good in pregnancy and with baby.

I’m not sure if this will help but my friend had a MC cycle 1 and she did everything there after and then finally fell pregnant with a sticky bean cycle 11… and is now 20 weeks! With my first we also took 13 cycles and I was so disheartened but now I’m glad we took that long as my DD is everything I dreamed of and more! So what I’m saying is don’t give up hope and trust the timing! ❤️ is this your first?

Glittertint · 09/03/2026 14:46

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy I think we are 2 days apart in dpo! How are you doing?

This made me so mad on your behalf, NEVER ask a woman if she's pregnant unless you can see a baby actually coming out of her 😡

@Glittertint Hello yes it would be my first. I think every cycle that's passing it's just making me more sad about the loss last year. I'm so reassured to hear that it can take that long and without giving up it still happened! I guess it just makes you feel like.... you do everything 'right' and go through the stresses and timing of it all each month, only to end up with your period. I question am I doing something wrong?! I will keep patience. Thanks so much

Glittertint · 09/03/2026 15:23

Sa11yCinnamon · 09/03/2026 14:57

I know!! And I’m also trying to not think about my TWW whilst away but it just brought me right back!!

Im trying to see maybe see it as a sign as I’m 9dpo that it could happen this month along with my toddler keeps doing “yoga” but her only pose is looking through her legs which is meant to be an old wives tale of they are looking for their sibling + she’s become so clingy + I had the most vivid dream last night!! Probably overly hopeful but we can wish can’t we!

@EmeraldPie its sooo hard I do get it, I remember with my first I literally was so negative about it, even to the point that ttc this time round feels like traumatic from how long it took last time and all the emotion that went into it! I will say that you aren’t doing anything wrong and the month we conceived our DD we went on a proper adults only trip to Dubai and I wrote up a plan of action if we didn’t fall by the month after, and I think it helped my mind to just like let go of the control and enjoy that month and not track as I had a “plan”! And my friend who’s now pregnant said the same, they were so busy with social / holiday that she didn’t even think it would’ve been possible so she just let go of it! The best advice I got was book things you wouldn’t be able to do or enjoy as much in 3 months time and focus on it as though you’ll not be pregnant and see! Hope this helps a little 😬 I hate the phrase “relax”, it triggers me when people say it now with my ttc number 2, as I know it’s not that easy to just let go of something you want so much! But what you can control is the time you do between trying to conceive!

BurningOutt · 09/03/2026 15:57

@Glittertint how rude! Shocking.

@EmeraldPie it is disappointing and completely natural to feel that, but not cause for concern I don’t think until you get to at least the 6 month mark (if over 35) or 12 months (if under). Sounds like your cycle is normal and everything else looks good after mc (a very good thing) so I’m sure you will conceive soon.

This is only cycle 1 for me (this time round!) I feel like the hours are just dragging. I’m 8-9 dpo today but resolved not to test until Wednesday (10-11dpo). I had a bit of cramping yesterday and last night at spot on timing for implantation cramps, but I’ve had that before and not conceived so I know it’s meaningless.

Sounds like we are similar dpo. I’ve also had on/off cramps the last 2 days but similar to you I’ve had it on other cycles as well as my chemical pregnancy last cycle so feels meaningless!

HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy · 09/03/2026 16:43

Thanks for the support @Alwaysgrowing . That does give me a bit of hope! Everyone seems to test positive so early, nice to hear from someone who didn’t!

I’ve had a really really long cycle, currently day 65 and I was so hoping it would happen this cycle, I feel the wait has been so long. Currently 11 dpo, didnt test this morning as didn’t want to see another BFN.

Might try to wait until AF is due now to test? Though will probably be reporting another BFN tomorrow, not sure my will power will last another day 😂

That waitress was so rude @Glittertint !!! Can’t believe she said that. Awww, will keep my fingers crossed that yoga toddler cleans a positive test for you! When are you planning on testing?

@Glittertint So hilariously within a few days of me finding out I was pregnant this month the DPD guy seemed to assume I was pregnant and was casually asking me about the things he'd just delivered and if they were baby things! 😳😆 I mean, I've got a bit chubby this year, but bloody hell, what an assumption! 😆 Luckily I was in a good enough mood as I'd just had positive tests, but after a year of losses I think I'd be ready to deck the sod otherwise, it's just my shape alright?! 😆 If it's any consolation, she probably feels like an absolute twat now.
