@Glittertint how rude! Shocking.

@EmeraldPie it is disappointing and completely natural to feel that, but not cause for concern I don’t think until you get to at least the 6 month mark (if over 35) or 12 months (if under). Sounds like your cycle is normal and everything else looks good after mc (a very good thing) so I’m sure you will conceive soon.

This is only cycle 1 for me (this time round!) I feel like the hours are just dragging. I’m 8-9 dpo today but resolved not to test until Wednesday (10-11dpo). I had a bit of cramping yesterday and last night at spot on timing for implantation cramps, but I’ve had that before and not conceived so I know it’s meaningless.

@Glittertintand @BurningOutt thanks so much. Maybe I was misled when you hear things like after miscarriage you are more fertile for the first few months and I feel I’ve gone the opposite way 😂 hopefully it’s just bad luck the last couple of cycles.
I’m going to get my progesterone tested a week after ovulation this cycle out of curiosity so I know I’ve ruled out all potential problems!

For some people it's true, for some it takes as much time as it did before. Also many people wait for 2-3 months, and then they fall pregnant immediately, I think our bodies usually need that much time to fully recover! I was also hoping to fall pregnant, but that unfortunately wasn't the case, of course for me it's different because of the adhesions

@HelloDarknessmyoldfrenemy I know! Well we are away until 14dpo and I haven’t got a test with me so I think I’ll just be waiting to see if AF comes on Saturday! My bbt also usually tells me as I usually drop in temp at 12-13dpo, just before AF shows. I also don’t want what I had last month with knowing I had a chemical!

@DorsetGirl89 maybe they just have a feeling!! But yes she probably is as they then brought out double the cake but of course I no longer wanted any!!!

@EmeraldPie They do say it’s true but they also say it after a successful pregnancy/birth and many people end up needing IVF for the second but got pregnant cycle 1 of their first! They say an egg and sperm can be impacted the 3 months prior so even any upset / stress could’ve had impact and there’s nothing you can do about that! Do you bbt test? I’d recommend as whilst you could check your levels at day 21 they could be good but the next day drop too early etc, whereas bbt should show if you’re maintaining right until your AF!

Exciting @CaffeineAndChords and @mangomama91 - best of luck! Why did they get the vasectomies - did you change your mind about completing your family or is it new relationship? (If you don’t mind me asking!)

My DH nearly got one last year after we finally decided we were done…and now we are ttc again I’m relieved he was too disorganised to book it in!

Aww thank you!
We've got a 13 year old and almost 10 year old togethe, we were only 20 and 24 when we had them so quite young. My husband decided he didn't want any more so he wanted a vasectomy and I respected that and then we realised that actually we really weren't done, looked into adopting as that's something we always wanted to do but then decided for the VR instead. I definitely think you both need to know for certain! I thought I'd be happy with two (very grateful don't get me wrong) but I think deep down I always knew I wasn't finished.
And thank you for being so understanding too! I've seen some posts about VR on Mumsnet and there have been some very opinionated people on the posts that are clearly against them! 😬

Good luck on your TTC journey!! 😃

BurningOutt · 09/03/2026 19:39

@mangomama91 wow that is young! I had mine at 30 and 33 and I had wanted another similar age gap but DC2 was born in covid and it was awful for all of us as we live far from family so were very isolated. DH and I were both quite scarred from it so decided no more, but then went for it in 2024 but I had 2 mcs including a really bad one at 10 weeks, so we decided to call it a day again….but I just turned 39 and I realised it was now or never so we’re back
on it!

I nearly died with the last mc I had so I’m terrified and hopeful at the same time.

Oh wow, you've had quite a time with it! I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriages and I'm glad you're still here for your family! That must have been so scary! I wish you all the luck for this time round!! 🥰

@Anya23 aww yes. Maybe our bodies do often need 2-3 months and now I’ve got that time under my belt I guess! I’ve gone back to 28 day cycles post MC it seems. Before I was having a shorter cycle/luteal phase. When can you try again after discovering the adhesions?

A 28 day cycle sounds perfect tbh! Mine are always a bit shorter, although my LP is luckily long.
I'm going back for another hysteroscopy in two weeks, if the adhesions haven't returned, I can try right after! I'll have to skip a few days due to the procedure, but fingers crossed, we can dtd just in time for ovulation!

@Glittertintyes I do normally try to BBT test! It can be a little variable as my sleep isn’t that great but find it’s normally quite consistent even with a couple of hours unbroken sleep and if I keep the timing the same daily! My temp seem to stay elevated right until period arrives. On the day I started spotting 1-2 days before full period, BBT was still at luteal levels. I hope that’s a good sign!
i wanted to check progesterone to see if the levels are good enough to sustain implantation etc but not sure if this test is necessary?

28 day cycles are good yes! However I begin to spot slightly/some slight brown discharge a day or two before this. But apparently that’s normal enough. Full flow hasn’t been coming until CD29.

I really hope it’s good news at the next appointment and you’re in time for trying again right away!

Is that why you want to have your progesterone levels checked? It might be a good idea, if you never had spotting before! I always spot before my period but usually only for one day - when I had longer periods of spotting I was still breastfeeding so probably my hormones were not in the normal range. Although strangely progesterone was actually at a real good level even back then

Think I’m either 9 or 10dpo today but managed to avoid testing by not buying a test ready for FMU this morning! Will probably get one today and try tomorrow. What early tests are people using? FRER was my go to but my local boots doesn’t seem to stock it anymore.

Sa11yCinnamon · 10/03/2026 09:52

@BurningOutt the clear blue ultra early was accurate for me, I was about 10DPO when I got a faint positive with my son.

CaffeineAndChords · 10/03/2026 10:23

6dpo today and having some sharp pulling pains just above my pubic bone. Could be absolutely nothing and I know this is super early but, I don’t recall feeling this usually. Maybe I’m just a bit heightened at the moment!

Glittertint · 10/03/2026 10:36

When you ovulate overnight which day do you class as ovulation day as I can’t decide if I’m 9 or 10dpo. My bbt dropped a little last night which feels off for me and makes me feel like it’s not happened this month. I’m getting period like cramps too which seems early eurgh!

last month with my chemical my temp soared up and my resting heart rate was so high by now, but this month it’s lower than ever! I’m on holiday relaxing so could be why! But makes me think it’s not happening this month

Bec123451995 · 10/03/2026 10:49

I’m jumping on this as I’m 4DPO. I already have a 8 year old & 5 year old boys. I thought I was 100% done until the beginning of this year when something just clicked & felt that another tiny litttle human running down the hallway sounds amazing. We’ve not actually decided to official try but we aren’t exactly actively preventing a pregnancy. For both my boys we were extremely lucky that we fell pregnant during the first cycle. However I’m fully aware that we might not be the case this time. My sister has been trying for a baby for 2 years & had a miscarriage in December so I’m also very worried about if I did fall pregnant that it would cause any upset🙈

@Glittertint i think we’re exactly the same - I ovulated overnight on Saturday/Sunday 28 Feb/1 March so im
not sure either but since it’s better to test later I’m assuming it was 1 March and will test tomorrow!

BurningOutt · 10/03/2026 11:41

@Bec123451995 mine are 7 (nearly 8) and 5 so similar here!

BurningOutt · 10/03/2026 11:58

@Sa11yCinnamon thank you - I’ve bought one of those. I’ve had false positives/evap lines with clearblue in the past so have tended to go for the pink ones but it was the only test in stock this morning so fingers crossed it doesn’t give me false hope!

I hope mine will be like yours!
I wanna get it checked partially for that yes but also just wanna reassure myself it’s at normal healthy levels to support implantation, basically to rule out anything I haven’t already. It’s so hard when you feel you’re doing everything right and it doesn’t happen!

@Glittertint how much did your BBT drop by? To pre ovulation levels or just a slight dip? Did you temp earlier time than normal ?

No I’m still up +0.2 from baseline but it’s the lowest it’s been, at 7dpo it was +0.4 and then 8dpo it dropped to +0.3 which I didn’t feel was that alarming until this one dropped too! I’ve got an oura ring which takes measurements throughout my sleep! But I guess in some aspects I went to sleep later and woke up earlier and we have the time difference on holiday too so maybe that’s why! I think I’ll know in the morning

I see. Have you had temps normally dropping a few days before period is due? I’m not familiar with how different the oura ring is as I just measure manually lol. I guess oura is more accurate. See how it is tomorrow!

It’s only my second month doing bbt and since I got the ring and our 3rd month trying so not sure! My luteal phase is usually 12+ days though! But my cycles have gone really weird and long the last 2 months and we also had a chemical last month so probably should put it down to that!
