very lazy!! my mum once bought the heinz stuff when i was a kid and we all agreed it was disgusting!! its still on the shelves in tesco now so someone must still be buying it!!

and the others are usually in pots in the fridge section!! they can look fairly yummy but i've had them a couple of times to 'try' when they are on offer or whatever and they are so tastless!!

lardybump · 19/06/2008 18:52

I think I will stick to making my own.....

glaskham · 19/06/2008 18:54

i really advise it!!

glaskham · 19/06/2008 18:58

Ses15 · 19/06/2008 19:00

Night Glaskham! (Don't know about you, but Eastenders looks good for tonight!)

lardybump · 19/06/2008 19:04

Night Glaskham.. Have a good one.

kookykid · 19/06/2008 19:54

Blardy hell, I have missed out on the good chat this afternoon! Interesting reading though. I would've loved to have had kids earlier (had DD at 32) but just hadn't met the man who I trusted well enough to be father to my children before then.
LB, I'm so sorry for your awful experience, but impressed with your resilience.

LBOT am about your drunk builders!

Re the sandwich fillings... we usually make up batches of tuna + sweetcorn mayo/chicken + bacon/etc at the start of the week and DH has it for sandwiches for work and DD and I often have with warm pita bread (yummy) for our lunches.

NEWS: I am getting 2 kittens!!!! They are SO SO gorgeous. Can't wait to get them.

lardybump · 19/06/2008 20:03

Oh you will have to post pics of your kittens when you get them...

Right I am off now so hope you all have a good evening and will speak tomorrow.

glaskham · 19/06/2008 20:08

oh how exiting Kooky... i have 3 cats, they are lovely but drive me mad when they keep meowing to get in and out all day long!! They used to be indoor cats till about 18mths ago now and now they are very much outdoor cats in the day, but are never left out in the night!!

Rachrox · 19/06/2008 20:47

Hi ladies,
How are you all? I haven't wrote anything for a while just been spectating! So thought about time i did.....
As for the topic of conversation today, i had my first dd at 18 so was really young! But i was married before i got pregnant and had our own place, so done things in the 'right' order. I've now been married for over 10 years with 3dc and 4th on the way (fingers crossed!). I suppose(sp?) its whenever you feel ready. I had to grow up very quickly as had rough childhood, there's 13 years between me and youngest sister so had to look after her a lot. So it felt natural to have mine early on.

Lardy- sorry to hear about your past, but as you said it must have been fate.

Kooky- what colours are your kittens? I'm more of a dog person myself, but my heart still melts at cute kittens!!

Okay well that's enough of a babble from me, first i dont write on here then you cant shut me up! ..lol..

calsworld · 19/06/2008 21:18

Hi Kooky and co, hope you're all well!

CD10 for me today KK, you the same? Or are you ahead of me? Not been much activity here, hoping to entice DH upstairs shortly

Anyway, probably won't be on again for a while, just wanted to wish you good luck for this cycle! Fingers crossed for us both,

Love to all, Cal

PS - Hello newbies!

kookykid · 19/06/2008 21:59

Hi there CAL!! How are you doing? Good to see you back, even briefly. Yup, CD10 here as well - so far this month is going quite quickly (know it'll slow right down in the 2ww though!). DH and I planning to GOF every other night and prob every night around OV. GOOD LUCK to you too. Post when you're up to it and we can compare notes! KKxx

Rach + Glask, one of the kittens is a silver grey female and the other a beautifully marked tabby male. SO excited, but can't have them for another 3 weeks.

Sorky (and Playing?), really weird reiki came up in the thread - this morning I asked a neighbour of mine to do a couple of sessions on me to help with the ttc. Do you think it will help?!

Off to bed now...

tinkhasabean · 20/06/2008 08:10

kookykid · 20/06/2008 08:51

Morning Tink!

I'm really hoping my kittens are the cuddly, sit-on-your-lap, loving kind! Do your cat and your DD get on?

kookykid · 20/06/2008 08:53

Cosmo have you watched the film yet??

auntyspan · 20/06/2008 09:25

Hello Ladies - can I join? We are currently TTC number 2 (DD is 2.5) and I'm not really sure of what to do as DD was unplanned. I am CD16 today and just basically had loads of sex last weekend and Monday - not very scientific but it might work?

What;s the whole EWCM mean?

Playingthewaitinggame · 20/06/2008 09:40

Morning all.

Seems very quiet on here anyone know where NJ has gone? Kay's been pretty quiet as well, so has GJ.

Kooky - know nothing about reiki, but I suppose anything that helps you relax is a good thing.

OOO - I adore kittens and grown up cats. I really miss my cat, we had to give him up (long story) and there are still days when I expect to see him trotting to meet me when I come home.

Good luck Cal, sounsd like the business end of your cycle is coming up!!

Welcome Aunty. You'll find lots of great advice here. Lots of sex is basically the right way to go. It does help though if you understand how your cycle works though and realise that even if you have a text book cycle of 28 days that doesn't necessarily mean you will ovulate on day 14. There are various ways to monitor your cycle to work out when you ovulate. One way is to monitor you cervical mucous (CM) as this changes consitancy and amount throughout your cycle. EWCM (egg white cm) is the consitancy that your CM goes in the run up to ovulation, it is just as it sounds like raw egg white, and this is the optimum cm to enable sperm to travel to the egg.

Purlease · 20/06/2008 09:45

Hello all. I've been away for a few days with work. Tested again yesterday and DH was a bit more enthusiastic about BFP this time - I don't think he trusted the cheapie Tesco test.

I had Reiki done when I was pregnant with DC1 - didn't know I was pregnant at the time. We were visiting friends in Malaysia who were big into it. When friend did Reiki on me I felt all tingly but Dh felt nothing - Maybe it was the energy from DD.

Thinking about it I might start some Reiki again to keep me calm for the next 8 weeks or so. Still not believing a baby will arrive next february until I have got past 12 weeks safely.

Cosmogirl · 20/06/2008 09:53

Morning all,

NJ and Kayz have been quiet these last couple of days...So glad it is finally Friday, last day at work before my holiday woop!!

We fly on Tues morning but travelling down to stay with my parents Mon because they live close to the airport. [Am off to a villa in Spain for 10 days for those that don't know].

KK - no haven't managed to watch the movie yet. Am hoping to get around to it this weekend in between ironing, packing and cleaning house! Gonna be a busy one.

Have had really bad PMS this week, so am expecting AF to show her face soon, which isn't great timing with hol coming up. CD 28 today. Do any of you non-pregnant ladies get PMS? My moods go up and down and I feel enormous, really fat - it is horrible. Plus I crave chocolate. Then, the week after I feel OK again...Blardy hormones!

Ses15 · 20/06/2008 10:00

Morning all Welcome auntyspan !

Cosmo - I sooo get PMS. Much as you describe and I just tend to get issues out of proportion so that things I could deal with or gloss over normally become huge problems.

Talking of holidays, we're off to the airport to go to Cork in an hour!! Am just about packed but it's amazing how much I need just for a wkend....

Ses15 · 20/06/2008 10:02

Oooh - I've just realised that it looks likely I'll need to look for a new wagoners' thread when I get back Sunday as we're starting to fill this one up!

Teuch · 20/06/2008 10:14

Did you miss me?

I have been lurkin, just nothing useful to post (can you believe that?!). Where is everybody, by the way?

Hello, welcome and good luck to the new wagoners . You may have noticed we seem to be quite successful on here...

I am very into the, ahem, 'mechanics' of cycles, etc, so I'm happy to advise, as long as yu know I am a complete charlatan and in no way qualified

glaskham · 20/06/2008 10:17

i 'normally' get bad mood swings the weeks before my period shows... DH likes to steer clear then, though this last cycle i have only had PMS since i came on, moody, short temper, snapping at anything!! wierd!! Thats one of the reasons we thought we were pg....

KK as for the kittens its awful when you have to wait so long for them!! I went to see one of my cats in the rescue centre 2 weeks before he was ready to leave and those 2 weeks dragged so much.... i already had another kitten at home and wanted a playmate for him... then cat no3 came to join us when dd was born, well she was about 8wks, and he is VERY close to her, he used to sleep at her feet when she napped on the couch, he follows her everywhere now, if she's gettign attention he's there too... its very sweet and he's very soft. at about 18mths she went through a stage where she was pulling chunks out of him and dragging him round the room by his tail, i was actually wishing him to bite or scratch her to scare her out of it... but he never did, and within 3 weeks or so she was over it. she still gets him if he's 'in her way' but its all nice. he's too soft for his own good!! the other week i caught her pinning him down and telling him off!!

The other 2 are good with the kids, again never scratched of bitten.... but dont come near the kids too much as they aren't so keen on the noise!! they were about 1yo when ds arrived, so have adjusted really well!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 20/06/2008 10:21

Hi Cosmo - I am fairly lucky that I dont get bad PMS. I get really bloated and sluggish but dont get mood swings as such, although I do feel it probably takes a little less than normal to upset me, its not that noticeable.

All you ladies going off on holiday . No money to do that this year, I'm trying for a baby don't you know .

Oh and Aunty, I forgot to add, if you're only only CD16 I would def still be trying to have lots of sex, you may well not have ovulated yet.

Playingthewaitinggame · 20/06/2008 10:22

Hi Teuch, did notice you were not around much recently. How are you?
