I do feel its a girl this time. I 'knew' with DS. I said to everyone I was having a boy. I do really really want a girl though this time. I just think one of each would be lovely.

kookykid · 17/06/2008 21:49

I didn't find out the sex with DD. When I got my BFP my immediate thought was that it was a girl. I really really really wanted a girl, but then convinced myself it was a boy, I think in case i was secretly disappointed if it had been. (Does that make any sense??)
When she was born I thought the umbilical cord was a willy and was ecstatic when i realised! If we're lucky enough to get pg again I actually really wouldn't mind either way so would probably not find out again. Not knowing gave me something to look forward to when in labour last time too!
Kay, fingers crossed for a girl for you (have a n inkling it is!).

Cosmogirl · 17/06/2008 21:55

Diege - I am approaching AF time, somewhere around CD 26 I think, so not time to start GOFing yet, but we can practise I suppose

luckyrabbitsfoot · 17/06/2008 22:00

Hiya, newbie to the thread looks around nervously

Starshinetiger · 17/06/2008 22:10

Congrats Cosmo - didn't think it was going to take much longer. Roll on the BFPs and March babies!! Although am getting slightly nervous that everyone's going to fall pg, it's not going to happen for me and I'll be the only one left on here, talking to myself (yes, you don't need to remind me that I'm being very self-indulgent as I'm only on CD3 of my first TTC cycle). Last time, we just approached it so casually and said with big innocent grins "shall we try for a baby" and then fell first month!

Kayz - meant to say earlier, v. for you at that old man, but think your response was brilliant!! I'm never quick enough to have the right response like that.

Glaskham, fingers crossed for BFP tomorrow morning with Diege's tests

Jelly - welcome. Fingers crossed for test tomorrow - you'll get plenty of encouragement on here for testing.

Well done all of you who have lost your pg weight. I'm 4lb heavier now than 5 weeks after giving birth . Keep trying to diet and I know that if I just cut out the sweet stuff, I'd lose a chunk, but I just can't seem to stick to it at work. Am perservering with the healthy eating and really want to lose at least 9lbs this month, so shall keep at it - have 1st 9lbs to lose in total .

Right, should be off to bed, so I can get up for gym in the morning.

kookykid · 17/06/2008 22:11

Hello lucky... Don't be nervous! This is a great thread!

Am off to bed now, but will be around tomorrow as no doubt will all the others!

happynappies · 17/06/2008 22:13

Luckyrabbitsfoot - let me show you around the wagon! Its great here, really friendly! Are you ttc NOW or on the wagon waiting? Are you trying/waiting to ttc #1? Tell all!

Starshinetiger · 17/06/2008 22:16

Took me ages to post my last post as I was off doing other things at the same time - in the meantime, there's been most activiting on thread all day I think.
Welcome lucky - I think we're a pretty friendly bunch.
Night everyone, really must get to bed.

GruffaloSoldier · 17/06/2008 22:20

tinkhasabean · 18/06/2008 08:45

morning

good luck 2 cosmo and gruff with you trying

welcome rabbit and other newbie sorry pregnancy brain

i was so happy when i found out at 20 wk scan that i was having a girl with 1st one
i would luv to have one of each as well think that it would also be nice to have another girl for dd1 she keeps asking for a sister and because they will be sharing a room which would make things easier.
when we asked about gender with dd1 @ 20 wk scan she had everything crossed and was asleep basically being awkard so sonographer wasnt 100% sure. had a scan @ 34 wks and got a definete answer.
i only breastfeed for 5 weeks dd1 is very fussy doesnt eat alot is tiny for her age with dc2 going to bottle feed straight away as dd1 wasnt getting enough.

Cosmogirl · 18/06/2008 08:47

Morning girls

Only today, tomorrow and Friday at work before two weeks off. Soooooo excited!

Cosmogirl · 18/06/2008 08:49

Thanks Tink. I am feeling good about the decision this morning. That is a good test, as I'm not a morning person so if I feel happy now it must be a good decision

Ses15 · 18/06/2008 08:54

Morning tink! Morning Cosmo!

Hello to all the newbies!

Cosmos - really pleased your still happy with your decision and lovely timing with the 2 weeks off! Have you got anything planned?

Diege · 18/06/2008 09:01

Morning . Has your postie been yet Galskham??
Welcome Lucky - yes, we need 'details'!
A busy one at work today, so chances are it'll be tonight before I get back on. Have a stinking headache, so will try and cadge some paracetemol off a colleague. A hint of nausea this morning, but probably linked to headache.
Oh where has the summer gone ...

kookykid · 18/06/2008 09:01

Morning everyone!

Lucky you, cosmo. Did you say you were going to away?

How are you feeling, tink? Any morning sickness?

Ses, what's the latest with you?

kookykid · 18/06/2008 09:04

X-posts Diege. Sorry for your headache. Hope your day's not too tiring. Know what you mean about summer - have just taken the shade down in the garden as DH told me to expect gales today. Gales!!! It's mid-June ffs!

Ses15 · 18/06/2008 09:07

Morning Kooky!

Latest is I saw my GP last night who couldn't believe the saga and didn't hesitate in signing me off work for this week. (Will post that to horrid boss today!) Have to go back to EPU today (12 noon) for another scan. I think they're concerned that whether it's "retained product" or a new pregnancy, it's quite small and doing an ERPC would have a high risk of tearing uterus. So today I should get blood test results from Monday and I think they'll check there's been no change on scan. I'm guessing that if no change, they'll just ask me to sit it out and wait to see if I pass / miscarry naturally over the next 2 weeks which will be really frustrating. But hey in the world of Ses, who knows what may happen as it's usually the unexpected!

tinkhasabean · 18/06/2008 09:13

hi ses

glad that dr signed you off.
good luck with scan and test results
heres hoping you get that answer soon

Playingthewaitinggame · 18/06/2008 09:16

Morning all,

Yay for Cosmos and Gruffalo!!! There's a whole load of us ttcing cycle 1 now!! i know this will be dc1 for Cosmo but I can't remember which numbe rit will be for you Gruffalo?

Welcome newbies. Word of warning, if you're not careful you will quickly become obssessed with this thread! We live by the rule no information if too much information and you will have such a laugh, the ladies on here are all lovely. We're all in different stages, some waiting ttc, some trying and others pg. For some of us its dc 1 (including me) so its all new and exciting for others its dc7!!! Oh and none of us BD or give hugs, we GOF on here!

Ses - glad your GP signed you off, its what you needed.

kookykid · 18/06/2008 09:21

Ses, fingers crossed again for you today. At least your GP is sympathetic and I'm glad you've been signed off for another week (yay - you can come and play on MN).

Anyone testing today? Glask??

We're off to playgroup but will be back later.

glaskham · 18/06/2008 09:24

Morning all... not staying around at all today, DH is offwork for the day. unfortunatley AF showed up last night... and in full flow this morning... bit gutted as with being so late got my hopes up... but hey ho, get an excuse for more fun GOFing this cycle... so i'm day1 of cycle again.... hopefully diege's tests will make this one a lucky cycle!! We're not too down about AF as we never expected to get it first time.... just gutted my body messed about this time!!

I may be around this evening while DH is at footy, but if not will be on tomorrow!!

glaskham · 18/06/2008 09:24

oh and good luck Cosmo and Gruffalo!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 18/06/2008 09:32

Oh Glask, sorry your period arrived. Well, as you said, onwards and upwards, you'll get to do plenty of GOFing again next month
