Wow - huge congratulations to Happy Whose next then? We can't just have one BFP anymore, there must be more today

Kay this is where I got mine from, I have the £19.99 a month one

sorkycake · 16/06/2008 09:58

Ah have checked.

LMP was the 13th May, but I O'd on cd 12 and was due on, on friday 6th June.

So for most people's cycles that would be 3 weeks, but I was already pg by then.

Going by Ovulation and how the baby will be developing, I should be 6 weeks on Friday, is that right?

Thanks Nat.
I'm going to try and persuade DH.

Oh and we've found a gorgeous house to rent in Pickering and we're trying to work out finances to see if we can afford it. Please cross your fingers for us!!

lastboxoftampons · 16/06/2008 10:03

congrats, Happy! That's wonderful news! You're due on our 5th wedding anniversary !

To whoever asked abuot the grapefruit juice - I tried it last month and it seemed to help a bit, although I was less than consistent about it. Trying it again this month, but to be honest, I think my downfall when it comes to CM is really caffeine. Have cut it out completely this month - that is the kind you get from coffee/tea, not necessarily the kind you get from chocolate - and already feel like it's working. I'm a bit damper if that's not TMI!

Tink good luck for your scan today!

Sorky & Diege when I saw the nurse at my GP I told her I was pregnant and she asked me how I knew... and then did pretty much nuffink! Just said she'd let the hospital know and they would contact me. Seems like a waste of their time and mine, doesn't it?

Diege · 16/06/2008 10:12

Ah LBOX that sounds about right re: your GP nurse At least I will meet the 8 minute consultation target . Good going on the caffeine front! I am a coffee addict, and have to say I tried to limite myself but still had 2/3 cups a day. Have now dropped down to one and a decaf, and one regular tea and a decaf tea. Sparkling mineral water and fruit jouce have replaced my beloved diet coke!
Sorky, yes, that does sound about right. I think . That would mean I am actually one day ahead of you, as calculate 6 weeks for me as Thursday, but then my cycles are normally 30 days (ish) so shall we say Friday will be both our day to move into the next week? So yes, we are 5 weeks and 3 days!!!

happynappies · 16/06/2008 10:13

Thanks so much everyone!

Am waiting now to hear more BFPs today - will check in later to see how the totaliser is flashing!! Good luck testers

Good luck Tink too with your scan.

To recent BFP'ers, when did you let your GP/midwife know? Am only very early days so I'm guessing sit back and wait for a while?

sorkycake · 16/06/2008 10:18

Yes Diege we'll say 6 eeks on Friday then.

blimey! that's gone quick.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/06/2008 10:18

Happy, it seems it depends how your surgery works, if you need to see the GP first I'd ring this week, but if you can go straight to the MW, I'd leave it at least a couple of weeks, they won't do anything until they book you in (around 10 weeks) anyway, but there can be quite a wait until they can book you in, so I wouldn't ring any later than 7 weeks.

kayzisexpecting · 16/06/2008 10:27

Happy, it does depend on your surgery. Here you have to see the GP first, they say as soon as you know. Then they put you on the books and tell you to go to reception who will make you a MW appointment.

Just walked ran to the estate agents and someone only this morning finalised the contracts of renting the house we wanted. I am now very .

Diege · 16/06/2008 10:30

Oh no Kayz Tis horrible when that happens, but seems to be par for the couirse when it comes to housing! Can I be nosey and ask what they do in the GP appointment? Sounds pretty similar set up top here.
Sorky, yah, we are pregnancy buddies to the day, and 4th babies too...will be good to compare symptoms etc .

Ses15 · 16/06/2008 10:31

O no Kay . Feeling for you. We've been trying to move house and on day of exchange in April our buyers pulled out. The whole renting/buying thing is just so much stress at the best of times, never mind in the current climate. Hope something turns up for you soon.

glaskham · 16/06/2008 10:32

Morning all, Congrats happynappies

sorry about the house kayz

still no AF here but still no BFP

unsure whats happening in my body atm!!!

kayzisexpecting · 16/06/2008 10:32

Nothing really Diege. Normally ask when the first day of your last AF was and tell you to take folic acid. They also do your blood pressure.

kayzisexpecting · 16/06/2008 10:35

Its so annoying. There are loads of nice flats but because of DH's disabilty we want to be out of a flat or even a downstairs flat would be nice.

Purlease · 16/06/2008 10:48

Right I'm useless at all these dates. LMP was 22nd May. Had a miscarriage in April so not sure if cycle is back to normal. When should I be testing?

sorkycake · 16/06/2008 10:52

when were you due Glaskham and which test are you uing?

Starshinetiger · 16/06/2008 10:54

Morning all, CONGRATULATIONS Happy - very excited for you!
Kay - sorry about the house - not that it's any consolation, but you know that it will turn out to have been the right thing and either something better will come along, or it will have been right for you to stay put for now (right, wise old stuffy hat off - it really doesn't make it any better when people say that kind of thing!)
Good luck 2bg for testing and Tink with scan.
I am CD1 - yay - I'm now officially in our first cycle of TTC and am ridiculously excited - this month is going to draaaaaag!
Back to work - will try to drop in later.

sorkycake · 16/06/2008 10:55

Ah Kayz that's crap. would the agents not contact you if something comes up?

OP posts:
Purlease · 16/06/2008 11:02

Sorky cake : 28 days - I think - not very good at watching the dates. When do I test?? It's DH's birthday in 3 time - a BFP would be a wonderful present!
Starshinetiger: I know what you mean about the monthe dragging - time has never gone so slow.

sorkycake · 16/06/2008 11:03

test now!

OP posts:
Purlease · 16/06/2008 11:07

I'm going to be patient. Will test on DH's birthday which is Thursday - hope to get back with some good news.

glaskham · 16/06/2008 11:07

sorky- AF was due on sat/sunday.... I tested using ebay cheapies and also 2 asda own brand yesterday!! we GOF'd last night and we were both expecting it to make me start bleeding as we normally try and get 'one last GOF' in before AF and it always happens, not last night, or the night before, both of us are very puzzled!!!

Also i nearly threw up at the smell of cooking sausages yesterday morning which is how i was first few weeks of pregnancy with the other 2!!! gah!!!
