Hi,

Anyone currently in the TWW? I could do with some company for the next couple weeks!

I am currently 1dpo. The last 3 months I have had chemicals and it has devastated not just me but my DH too. it was his birthday last month and i knew when i did the CB digital on his birthday and it said "not pregnant" that it wouldnt end well, despite getting a positive with the same urine the same morning and all the other positives i had on my boots tests, it hadn't gotten darker from the 2 days before. I was due that sunday/Monday and AF came tuesday. This is the last month we are trying on our own before we get help. I'm hoping my body just rejected a few bad eggs/sperm and this will be our month!

All TWW stories welcome, symptom spotting, over analysis, all the crazy weird things we only notice in the TWW!

@Nelly1023that is a definite line! Is it sinking in now?

@CookieCrumbleCrumbsAF is here in full force now. I knew it was coming. Oh well hopefully next month will be the one.

CookieCrumbleCrumbs · 22/10/2025 11:13

@Nelly1023 Definately there and definately congratulations 🎊 that's a beautiful bfp! When are you breaking the news to DH?

@Fullofconfusion I'm so sorry AF showed for you 😔 I was really hoping it wouldn't! There is always next month x

Pains have almost gone now, don't know what's going on this cycle. I was so sure ovulation had already happened hence the post and testing because of EWCM and ovulation pain. But now I'm thinking maybe it happened yesterday? We dtd anyway last night just to make sure! I'm usually spot on with my ovulation...I blame coq10 - never again will I take it! And next month I may use ovulation tests too, just to be sure, unless bfp happens (highly unlikely!)

@FullofconfusionStill not sinking in, I swear it never does for me until a week after I have a baby 🙃
keeping everything crossed for you for next month!!

@CookieCrumbleCrumbsthank you 🫶🏻 I don’t know when to tell him, probably this weekend as he’ll notice I haven’t come on yet ha! I don’t know why I feel so nervous, I’m sure he’ll be fine but I worry about stressing him out, he’s a nervous wreck when I’m pregnant!

oh that is strange.. I’m tentatively keeping fingers crossed for you! And hope that either this month or next month is THE month for you.

Fullofconfusion · 22/10/2025 13:33

@CookieCrumbleCrumbswhen did you start the coq10? I’ve been taking it for the past 3/4 months and it’s not made a difference to my cycle. However last month when I had a 40 day cycle (!) and didn’t ovulate until day 28 I’d been taking pregnacare conception alongside it for 2 months…never again! I read the reviews as I was starting to think I’d gone nuts. My skin was awful!! Like the worst cystic acne in places I don’t usually get spots and I was ridiculously emotional. Crying at everything going. I stopped just before my last cycle ended and I’m feeling much more normal now. I have heard of coq10 altering people’s cycles though so that could be the culprit if nothing else has changed for you.

Are you testing again or waiting it out? What cycle day are you now?

Lalalala77 · 22/10/2025 14:42

Oh @Nelly1023 that’s a definite line now! Let us know how telling your partner goes! 😊

@CookieCrumbleCrumbs - do you have any lh strips that you could do now to see if they are high? I also never noticed coq10 altering my cycles - in fact they have just rebounded back to a normal 29 day (I think, if I come on tomorrow as predicted) rather than the 40 odd days mine have been since the miscarriage and Ive only started coq10 in the past few months.

Maybe it’s just one of those weird things - I had an odd 6 week cycle a few years ago although wasn’t trying to conceive at that stage and tested negative the whole time. Hopefully this gives you another shot of conceiving this cycle though if you’re actually ovulating now!

CookieCrumbleCrumbs · 22/10/2025 15:10

@Nelly1023 aww i think he will be happy! All kids can be challenging but all those lovely cute moments make up for it! Let us all know how it goes!

I started taking coq10 when my bfp went to a bfn last cycle so it had only been a few weeks however, I had the worst symptoms after taking it - very low blood pressure, extremely dizzy spells to the point i wouldnt drive at all, ALL my hair fell out really quickly (luckily it was long and thick from my last pregnancy so I don't look too bald!) A huge breakout of big red spots on my back and now this long cycle and weird ovulation...I guess its just not for me.
My DH also takes it and he has 0 symptoms (I heard its excellent for his swimmers so I make him take it religiously as it can take up to 3 months to help!)
It sounds like you both have really positive outcomes from taking it though, a friend of mine took it for 2 months and got pregnant after 2.5 years of trying!

@Fullofconfusion poor you having all those awful side effects from multi vitamins! It sounds truly awful, glad you're not taking them anymore. I actually take the pregnacare pregnant ones because they are the only multivitamin that doesn't contain too much iron which upsets my stomach. I've been taking them for almost 2 years, since I stopped the breastfeeding ones after DD appreciated food more than boob! 😂 I will be waiting it out as long as I possibly can so maybe 9 days tops now to test (unless AF shows) and I'm CD 29 now, AF should have been here no later than yesterday but DEFINATELY today, no signs yet just funny ovaries.

@Lalalala77 no strips unfortunately, I've never used them because I always know (well, I thought I knew) my ovulation day because of symptoms (pains and EWCM). I think you're right, just an odd cycle. Let's hope it's another chance! I'll let you all know in a couple weeks or sooner 👍

Hope everyone’s okay!

took a test with my partner today when he got in from work. It wasn’t the most wholesome reaction I was hoping for but he seems okay and is just thinking of all the practical logical things we need to plan for! To be fair he was the same with our first 2 and only got excited when they were here, he’s quite a worried person naturally so finds the pregnancies stressful! But I’m glad he knows now and it’s feeling a bit more real .. although I keep going to the toilet and expecting the worst!

Lalalala77 · 23/10/2025 15:07

@Nelly1023 at least that’s a stress off your mind now he knows! I totally understand going to the toilet and expecting the worst - I used to check every time. Hopefully your worry decreases the further you get and you can enjoy your pregnancy 🥰

I started my period today, I’m weirdly happy about it - although this might be post gym high at the moment 😂. It’s the first time since may 2024 that my cycle has been a normal length - because of all my miscarriages in the last year and a bit my cycles have been 40 plus days when I haven’t been pregnant, which feels like SUCH a long time to wait to try again. This time it was 29 days so feels like an absolute dream to be able to try again in 2 weeks instead of a month! Small wins but ones which are very positive as it means my body may have finally healed from all the trauma I keep putting her through.

See those of you trying again in 2 weeks and I hope you have a very happy and uneventful pregnancy @Nelly1023 😊.

Nelly1023 · 23/10/2025 18:08

@Lalalala77 thank you for your lovely message 🥰
I’m so glad for you that your cycle was normal - the long wait must have been so hard I really feel for you. I’ll keep absolutely everything crossed for you next month x

CookieCrumbleCrumbs · 23/10/2025 19:54

@Nelly1023 that's great news you told him! At least now you can both make plans together now ready for your little one! Wishing you the healthiest and happiest pregnancy!

@Lalalala77 I'm glad things seem to be normalising for you. I'm still sorry AF showed for you but 🤞 next month is your month.

Still no AF for me. I'll post once I get AF or a bfp next Friday!

CookieCrumbleCrumbs · 03/11/2025 09:09

@Nelly1023 how are you getting on? Hope everythings going great for you 😊
Things are OK, weird and confusing! Here's a bit of a rant!
So from 3dpo (when I thought my ovaries were handing out all my eggs!) I have had nausea every single day that just won't go away, on 9dpo I ran to the bathroom because I thought I was going to actually be sick.
From a few days before ovulation I had EWCM Right up until 10dpo, it was in abundance! Its now my usual thicker creamy CM but still lots of it.
At 5dpo I got really intense pinching/cramps in my left side, so much I stopped dead in my tracks, we were just about to go walk in the woods and DH even noticed and asked if ibwas ok. That cramping has never really gone but it has lessened, has been on and off and is still there at the minute with normal cramps.
8dpo I had a bad headache, sore nipples that haven't gone and weird glue like CM, like drier EWCM but not dry IYSWIM. It went back to EWCM 9 &10dpo.
Took a test 8dpo (ridiculous!) bfn.
Took a test 10dpo bfn.
Took my last test 11dpo bfn.
I'm now 13dpo and waiting for af. I think all these symptoms are just af, I haven't gotten to 11dpo before with a bfn and no hint of a line if I'm pregnant. I'm buying more tests today though, just in case!
I had 2 small glasses of wine with DH Saturday night because I was so fed up with everything. I tried hard not to symptom spot - no googling, no mumsnet, nothing, I just wrote them down and forgot about them as best as i could! Very weird cycle.

Hope everyone else is ok and that new cycles mean bfps this month!

CookieCrumbleCrumbs · 03/11/2025 21:04

I just saw this on another thread from a few years ago and thought I would drop it in here for you next cycle ladies. It gave me a little hope and also a little more patience to wait to test!

It can be that you have low base HCG (nothing to worry about), late implantation and a 72h doubling time rather than 48. Again, nothing to worry about. You won't get a BFP until HCG hits 10 for sensitive tests or 25 for normal tests, with on-the-cusp readings being faint, you'll need a level of more like 15 or 30 for it to show up strongly.
If you implanted on day 10, had a base HCG level of 1, and a 72h doubling time, it would go like this:
DPO 10 HCG 1
DPO 13 HCG 2
DPO 16 HCG 4
DPO 19 HCG 8 (Possibly a very faint positive on a very sensitive test)
DPO 22 HCG 16 (Good positive on a sensitive test, negative on a normal test)
DPO 25 HCG 32 (Good positive on any test)
If you're still getting negatives after that point, it's likely that you didn't ovulate when you thought you did, meaning that either AF will be later or you'll have to wait longer for a positive.

(Just for comparison) - if you had implanted early, say on 7dpo, have a 48h doubling time and a higher base (non-pregnant) HCG level the progression would look more like this:
DPO 7 HCG 4
DPO 9 HCG 8 (Possibly a very faint positive on a very sensitive test)
DPO 11 HCG 16 (Good positive on a sensitive test, negative on a normal test)
DPO 13 HCG 32 (Good positive on any test)
That's why some women get early positives and some have to wait longer. It doesn't mean anything is wrong. It's just variance in the way that a pregnancy develops in the early days.

@CookieCrumbleCrumbs wow that sounds so crazy! So when was your last period sorry I’m confused! I’m keeping everything crossed for a BFP for you whenever that may be, you must be going crazy thinking about it now.

I’m doing okay I’m just anxious I hate the early weeks, I have no symptoms whatsoever, and with my first two I had really bad morning sickness so it’s making me question if somethings wrong! I think I’m about 6 weeks today so tempted to buy another digital test to see if it’s progressed.

CookieCrumbleCrumbs · 04/11/2025 19:39

@Nelly1023 my last period was exactly 6 weeks ago today, 23rd September! My bfp is coming, just not right now. No af today but I think another day or 2 and it will be here.

Oh bless you, sorry you're so anxious! The early days are nerve racking but if you're 6 weeks you're already half way there. I'm sure everything is fine, they say every pregnancy is different but I understand your worry. Nothing wrong with testing again! I tested with digitals until it said 3+ twice with my first, dh wasn't amused at the cost but it did make me feel better! Have you got the midwife sorted yet?

OP posts:
babydustx · 04/11/2025 19:51

@Nelly1023maybe your just lucky and won’t have sickness this time! 🤭 With my first I didn’t at all and with my second I had nausea. Have you thought about booking an early scan?

@CookieCrumbleCrumbs omg have you been testing!? 6 weeks ago.. is that normal for you?! I was also confused when I read your posts 😂 so you must have ovulated later than you thought.

I’m CD10 now due to ovulate next week! xx

Fullofconfusion · 04/11/2025 20:19

wow @CookieCrumbleCrumbsthats a long cycle! I had a random 40 day cycle a few cycles ago. It’s so annoying as you’d rather get onto the next one if it’s not happening this time around.

I’m now CD15 but I don’t usually ovulate until day 20ish so got a few days before I’m back in the wait

CookieCrumbleCrumbs · 04/11/2025 21:20

@babydustx I definately did ovulate later, just waiting for af now. Nope not normal, I had no bleed between 2 chemicals but never 6 weeks without a bfp. Sorry about my posts, it's a weird cycle! I last tested 11dpo, bfn and called myself out for this month. That's exciting! Keep us updated for your new cycle and fingers crossed for a bfp 🤞

@Fullofconfusion that's probably what's happening to me, extra long cycle for an extra long annoying wait 🙄 100% can't wait for my next cycle to start! I hope this is your cycle for a bfp, keep us all posted with how you get on!

OP posts:
babydustx · 05/11/2025 19:51

@CookieCrumbleCrumbs I deffo say take another test! You had so many signs that were familiar for you early on. Really hoping this is a surprise cycle for you 🤗! x

CookieCrumbleCrumbs · 06/11/2025 12:19

Does anyone else see it? It's worrying because I'm now 16dpo (late ovulation) and this is faint! There's deffo a line, deffo pink, came within 2 minutes. It is nearly half 12 and I've had alot to drink but because @babydustx you said just do another I did and I think it's a bfp...its just so faint 😔
