agree with what @memorablemicker says the CB digital is more sensitive at detecting the surge, but that's the good thing you get the time to have some swimmers in the right place at the right time 😂

Ah I’m sorry, fingers crossed for next month.

I found the CB digital OPK worth it but didn’t realise lots about them:

  • the digital reader gets more in tune with you after a couple of cycles of use (I think, and I’ve read it elsewhere)
  • you really do have to start testing from the cd it recommends depending on your cycle length - I thought that was silly and a way of getting you to spend more money on refills but it’s because it’s detecting a surge (so the difference from your baseline - again, not a doctor but that’s my understanding). It didn’t work at all (I got negatives) for me when I tried to use it around day of ovulation a few months ago, abut worked well for me when I used it in the run up and across days of suspected ovulation.

cons:

  • expense
  • still hard to tell what day you actually ovulate on. Static smiley comes up when it picks up your surge and then stays on the reader for 48 hours. It says it means ovulation happens 24-48 hours from static smiley appearing which I took as a certainty but I think I was actually later than that this month, more like three days…

Oh wow, thanks so much for this! It helps a lot! 😊

Haha, yes! It's all about timing the troops. All so good to know. It all feels a bit more challenging and stressful this time now that I'm close to 40.

MamaGeordie · 11/10/2025 08:59

@laurajane07Oh I see it and all your symptoms sound so positive! I have everything crossed for you 🤞❤️

memorablemicker · 11/10/2025 09:36

I got impatient and couldn’t quite wait, please may someone look at this and see if you can see what I see? It’s an FRER

I see it! Huge congratulations @memorablemicker ❤️

memorablemicker · 11/10/2025 09:52

Thank you for looking with me @Ec2808 and @MamaGeordie - I’m really pleased to see a faint positive. I’m around 8-10DPO (tricky to pin down exact ovulation date).

seems like those CB digitals were worth the investment this month…!

I’ve often seen people take tests across multiple days to see the line get darker. Can anyone explain to me why that might be useful?

Sending lots of care during the 2WW. I was supposed to wait 3 more days before testing but couldn’t quite restrain myself…

Ec2808 · 11/10/2025 09:57

@memorablemickera lot of women do so to make sure it’s a viable pregnancy,..if the lines don’t really darken or get lighter could mean a chemical pregnancy but try not to fixate to much on it and enjoy it it’s your first 🥰

AF arrived this morning so I’m out for this month. Played games with my mind too as AF was two days late, never mind. Is there a November thread yet?! Xx

HansBanans · 12/10/2025 17:04

@CDD1992 sorry to hear AF got you. I’ve no clue where I’m at as FF thinks I’m 16dpo but I’m potentially only 10dpo. BFN at 14dpo so who knows! I’ve not see a November thread yet x

There is still time for you yet @HansBanans! Keeping everything crossed. X

OliveParrot · 12/10/2025 22:10

Hi everyone, hope it's okay if I join, I'm totally new here. I'm 34, TTC my first. On cycle 6 of trying and 8DPO, although only the last 3 cycles have been regular since I coming off the pill after 14 years. Just wanted to join in with others on the same journey!

HansBanans · 13/10/2025 07:06

@OliveParrot hi 👋 that’s good your cycles are starting to become more regular, best of luck for this cycle

HansBanans · 13/10/2025 10:08

AF has just arrived. That’s me moving onto cycle 6 I think, feel like I’ve lost track a bit! Clearblue digitals should be here by Wednesday 🤞🏻

AccountingMummy · 13/10/2025 11:54

Sorry to hear @HansBanans ! Onto next month, hopefully the clearblues help to pin your cycle down properly 😊 I’m 2dpo, my period only came back last month for the first time since having DD (still breastfeeding). From cheapies I ovulated on CD30 this month! So extremely late, poor husband and I were DTD every 2/3 days from CD10, and then 1/2 days as my LH started to climb. I’m a little bit unwell at the moment and this is my first full cycle since DD so I’m not hopeful, but am just wanting to get back into the swing of things, understanding surges and what not.

HansBanans · 13/10/2025 11:58

@AccountingMummy it’s a bummer that she showed but I’m just glad to not be stuck in limbo anymore! Best of luck with your cycle x

Ec2808 · 13/10/2025 13:42

@HansBanans soo sorry AF came for you! fingers crossed for you this cycle ❤

Edenmum2 · 13/10/2025 13:45

Just hopping on if that’s ok! AF due tomorrow and don’t think I caught ovulation this month but we’ll see I guess. Just wanted to say is anyone else needing to pee ALL the time? I’ve had it for 2-3 days, definitely not a UTI but surely too early to be a preggo symptom already? Anyone else had this?

Ec2808 · 13/10/2025 13:47

@Edenmum2 frequent urination was my first symptom with DD and had it 3 days before positive test soo fingers crossed!

OP posts:
Anya23 · 13/10/2025 13:48

I definitely had it in some cycles in the tww unfortunately @Edenmum2
But also it can be an early sign, if you've never had it before, 🤞it means something

Edenmum2 · 13/10/2025 13:51

Oh interesting!! Thank you both. Too scared to test because I’ve had a lot of losses and a few chemicals so just enjoying the faint possibility at the moment!

HansBanans · 13/10/2025 15:58

@Ec2808 thank you x

@Edenmum2 I have had frequent urination the past few days but think mine was due to bloating as AF has arrived today

OliveParrot · 14/10/2025 07:29

Thanks @HansBanans, sorry AF has turned up for you, know what you mean about not being in limbo at least though and you can think about the next cycle.

@Edenmum2 I've heard a lot of people say frequent urination is a symptom - fingers crossed
