Oh poor you LL, I hope your DD is ok and you're calming down too. I agree with NJ, accept the apology when it comes then maybe talk about it this evening if the air isn't completely cleared. Then have a nice angry GOF to make up

Moosma · 07/06/2008 12:14

And you're doing better than me, I don't work and I still have a messy house and the ironing never gets done!

lardylumps · 07/06/2008 12:20

Ironing is one thing i can not do when dd is around as she follows me around to much and we nearly had an accident a while back where she pulled the cord of the iron while i was grabbing a shirt.. I caught it in time luckily.

Dp wouldn't know how to use an iron so he agreed that we can send it out.

Diege · 07/06/2008 12:44

Hi LL, hmm I think the main issue here is that you both work, so in that sense I am probably less sympathetic than others to your dh as I am also in the same position work-wise and have certaintly 'been there' with the comments from my dh!!
One sentenec you wrote did jump out at me
'We were going to send our ironing out as I cannot keep up with it' ...I presume dh does his domestic share in other tasks?? Just seems (may have got it wrong here) that you seem to take the most responsibility for household tasks, which does seem a little if you both work full time. Each to their own I guess, but I would be giving your dh a serious talking too if he was mine!!
Well, have done a bit of rejigging with myn hair appointment today. Had roots and highlights booked for 2 weeks, but will just be getting highlights done at regualar salon and roots done at the Aveda salon in Manchester (less chemicals). I know there's no scientific link to not using colourants in pregnancy (and goodness knows I've ranted about this enough on other threads ) but I am a worrier and think I'll stick to less chemicals for the first 12 weeks and then get back onto the hard stuff when all the foetal organs are formed. Foils are fine whenever apparently cos of not touching scalp.
Also, we have decided (after having every test from bloods, to nuchal to amnio with dds)not to have any screening tests for chromosome problems in this pregnancy. I don't think I would terminate for Downs Syndrome (I though I would last 3 times, henec the tests) and seem to have adopted a more philosophical what will be will be attitude this time round!
Right, must get some marking done
Oh final question for any Londoners!! I have a meeting in Londoin next week and the venue has been changed at last minute . The meeting in now on the Edgeware rod in Hilton London Metropole, and I'll need to get bthere from South Kensington in the morning. I'm asssuming it's possible on the Tube?? Any help would be appreciated!

lardylumps · 07/06/2008 12:51

Diege the edgware road and South kennsington are both on the circle and district so you will not need to change.

Edgware road is the final stop after paddington.

I do all the housework during the week as Dp works longer hours. He cleans the car and does the garden. If I dont get it done during the week he does normally help at the weekend.

lardylumps · 07/06/2008 12:52

final stop on the district but the circle obviously keeps going but any train will get you to edgware road...

lardylumps · 07/06/2008 12:53

shit I keep pressing return. Make sure it is a circle line train because the district also goes to olimpia and ealing from kensington and that would not be good.

lardylumps · 07/06/2008 12:55

Does that make sence diege.

You get on the cycle and district line platform and get any cycle line train it is the stop north of paddington. That would have been easier wouldn't it.

Diege · 07/06/2008 13:00

Cycle line train?? . Only joking!! Understand you perfectly!! Many thanks - helps to know I won't have to change tubes lines etc .
We are a bit more 50/50 in our house, mainly because my hours are a little longer (oh and I would castrate him if he didn't do his share!)

lardylumps · 07/06/2008 13:07

Um maybe I will ............. After I get my BFP though..

Circle line train.... Yes they have now done away with the peddles and have electricity to power them......

Diege · 07/06/2008 13:15

Oh yes get his seed and then lop it off I say

lardylumps · 07/06/2008 13:22

Moosma · 07/06/2008 14:05

And your DD is lovely, I like the 4 months one, she looks so smiley

lardylumps · 07/06/2008 14:07

awwwwwwwww thanks moosma. I am very lardylumpy with no clothes on, I tend to hide it well. DD is very smiley when she is not ill that is.

lardylumps · 07/06/2008 14:13

No!! Take a diversion GJ and get back to the N.W - there are 3 baskets of washing to iron please! Sorry about dp - I presume this is the ttc talk?
LL, glad you've had 'the call' . Maybe he could get a lift back with Tinks and I'll show him what to do with the iron???

Diege · 07/06/2008 15:39

No, not with Tinks, with GJ!!!!
