2DPO 12th Jan - anyone with me?

As the title says, I’m 2DPO on 12th January and TTC baby no.2. Feeling chilled at the moment as it’s 1st cycle and it took 4 months last time. Going to try and hold out from testing early!

Waiting until Monday to test (10 dpo) unless my period shows that morning. Only with a cheapy though. Convinced myself already that I’m out this month because I’ve felt really irritable the last couple days like I usually do before my period

I got the rages two days before I tested positive with DD (no idea what DPO that was but 4 days before my period was due). Unfortunately period and early pregnancy symptoms can be really similar. Don’t count yourself out until AF arrives.

I really wanted to wait until 10DPO to test but stupidly caved and tested 8 & 9DPO this morning with BFNs!! Used the Premom ones so not sure how sensitive they are. Might try to see if I can hold out for AF but due on Thursday which feels like an eternity away. Time really is going backwards!!!

@Babydust82 Pregnancy and PMS symptoms are so similar, I wouldn't count yourself out yet!

@NeatOtter and @LimeStork I'm either 8 or 9 DPO and tested today too with a BFN which i sort of expected. My last BFP i got on 10DPO with no symptoms and after a stark white BFN on 9DPO, so not taking my lack of symptoms as a bad sign. I unfortunately MC at 8 weeks and this is my first cycle TTC since then. I used to be able to track ovulation just with EWCM but post MC my cycles have shortened from 28 days to 24 and i'm getting EWCM really early on (CD9!) so I think I ovulate much sooner as well. I now don't know when exactly AF will rear her ugly head but counting my DPO from the last day of EWCM.

I always test from 9DPO so it's gradual disappointment giving me time to cope, rather than the big build up to AF and feeling crushed with a BFN. Funnily enough, the last time my mum knew I was pregnant before I did and she had no clue we were trying. I sent her a photo of us at about 8DPO and she thought my features had softened and rounded considerably even though I hadn't gained weight. So tempted to send her another photo and see what she thinks - DH calls her the HUMAN pregnancy test, haha.

@LimeStork im also due AF on Thursday… I caved too and got BFN. Hoping it’s just too early but I didn’t track ovulation properly this month so not holding out much hope. Just preparing for Thursday and then try again 🙂 I’ve got one more test I may do it tues if I get inpatient

Still plenty of time yet. Hopefully we can get some luck in this group! I only have the one step tests at home. Good luck trying to hold our, sounds like it will be difficult if you tested already 😄

@Babydust82 Thanks for your kind words. I will test everyday till Tue which is 11/12 DPO. Then if it's still a BFN I'll just wait for AF with no testing. If AF doesn't arrive, then I will test the day after. It's a weird way to do it but after testing for a few days with BFNs I naturally lose steam and excitement. Then whatever happens I'm either mentally prepared for or pleasantly surprised. I use the One Step ultra early cheapies to support my budget and this POAS habit.

Being brave and posting - I've been reading along since the beginning, as I'm a similar dpo to you all, but going insane on my own with this!

I'm 9/10 dpo based on the clear blue advanced opks, but I seem to have ovulated quite early, about CD12, and AF isn't due until maybe Friday or Saturday next week...

Welcome! I understand that your ovulation day can change from cycle to cycle but your luteal phase will always be the same number of days. So your AF should arrive earlier than that if you ovulated early 🙂 or not at all perhaps!!!

As reassuring as that is, this is my first cycle using opks, so I don't actually know how long any of it would normally be, just that I usually have 27 or 28 day cycles since coming off contraception last year! And that's all different to when we conceived before!

@houwseevryweekend so sorry for your loss. In the exact same boat as you, had a MMC at almost 8 weeks and this is our first cycle since TTC for #1. It’s full of such crazy emotions isn’t it? One minute I’m excited then it’s nerves, fear then it’s anxiousness..🤯 Holding out lots of hope for us this year!

BFN at 9dpo today. And yes I’m also a daily tester as I’m highly impatient 😅

I'm due Af next Saturday so might test from Tuesday (9dpo) because I can't help myself. Probably wouldn't get even a faint line till Thursday (11 dpo) but as someone else said earlier it lets you down gently if it's going to be a bfn

10 dpo and bfn!! Ahhh do I hold out hope?! Af due Tues (but miscarriage last month so all could be out). Hopefully some positives soon for everyone xx

Please can someone help me? I am probably 9DPO and I got caught by the trap I was trying so hard to avoid 🤣 what does everyone think? I will keep testing unless AF arrives. Am I being crazy??

I felt left out with all the testing going on so I did a one step this morning at 9dpo and completely white.
hmmm @maple1234 definitely see something! but not sure if there is colour to it. Hopefully not an indent

@squishousdelicious @LimeStork I'm so sorry you've had the experience of loss too. Hoping 2025 is going to have bucket loads of baby dust for us all.

I've tested today at 9/10 DPO and BFN. Poooh! I briefly thought I saw a shadow and then realised i hallucinated it with my sleepy eyes. Stark white vibes today. Ah well. I much prefer testing on weekends as I can go for a walk straight after and plan to cook a nice lunch, rather than sit in meetings all day. We go again tomorrow!

Oooh I see a line! It's still faint so won't jinx it by congratulating you yet in case I'm wrong. Hoping it's darker tomorrow or you get an answer on a Digital soon either way.

The digital tests aren't as sensitive as the others so you're not out yet. Give it 48 hours and you'll know for sure as enough time for HCG to double.
