Hey @Simplespell27 welcome to the thread! That is interesting that you ovulate later, hoping this is your month. However as I am sure you know (sorry not teaching you to suck eggs!!) sperm live for up to 5 days so as long as you've DTD during the window it should be ok. I have started taking evening primrose oil this month to try and lengthen my luteal phase - who knows if it works...but if you find you have a shorter luteal phase it's just something to consider. Wishing you luck.- I am only 1DPO following a chemical last month but not feeling positive for some reason x

That's interesting about the evening primrose oil, what's the benefit in having a longer luteal phase? Not heard of it before!

Sorry to hear that. You seem to really know your body and what to look out for!

im curious what you said about resting heart rate. Is that a sign? Mine has been going up and up the last few days to a record high for me but I thought I was just dehydrated or something.

thank you. I’m devastated.

for me, it was a clear sign… it went up and up a few beats a day until it peaked around 69-70, but that was really high for me…. As I was like 58/59bpm usually.

The boobs were another sign, so even now if they feel a bit heavier. If I press them they squish. When I was pregnant just before testing, they didn’t squish soft.

Hope you don’t mind me commenting about the RHR but it reminded me to check mine and it’s actually shot up today from 61 to 72! I’m about 9/10dpo.

this was only of my signs with my first as well, I tracked it and after about 10dpo it kept going up each day! It can certainly be a sign for pregnancy

Yeah, mine was very similar except it got to 64 and now back to 61.

it was fun while it lasted!

I would be very surprised if the both of you weren’t pregnant after the rise in RHR

Qwerty93 · 12/01/2025 10:40

This is mine. So it’s not looking good… dislike the new Fitbit app layout

I really hope so 🤞🏻 it has been a massive jump today but could easily change by end of the day.

good luck 🍀

Mama09876 · 12/01/2025 10:55

So the old Fitbit one was from the TWW from my first 3 years ago & Apple Watch is this TWW.
does seem a crazy jump! And it’s reminded me I was much fitter in 2021 😂

Looks a good sign!!

To spin that… anyone who has a positive can they make me feel better in that they don’t have an increase in resting heart rate!

KittyFantastica · 12/01/2025 12:16

Dropping my FF chart as my Apple Watch auto collects my resting heart rate and I thought you might be interested to see the rise just before I got my positive on 9DPO. It has since stayed slightly elevated, though some variations depending on what I've done each day. Both have dipped today, but I've had strong tests this morning and am now two days late for AF.

I will point out though, with my son's pregnancy, I got a HUGE temp dip and RHR dip all the way below cover line on both twice before 14DPO, and it didn't affect anything at all.

Oh wow. What are all the different colours meaning?

KittyFantastica · 12/01/2025 12:47

Sorry @Qwerty93, I didn't realise I'd cut off the key at the bottom. Here it shows what each thing I've logged is.

Also, the blue line turning to green on the chart is my wrist temp at 5am every morning and the brown line just below it is my RHR.

Apparently if you take it before ovulation is can help lengthen it, and some studies have shown it helps with PMS symptoms - not that I really get that many but thought it can't help! You def shouldn't take it after you ovulate though. It probably does nothing but makes me feel better to be doing something lol. My LP is 11 days usually which is within the acceptable range but I just think the longer it is the more time there is for the little embryo to stick!

Fluffydino21 · 12/01/2025 21:08

Hi all,

Update much sooner than I was expecting…

I kept noticing weird signs so I took a test, still thinking it was maybe a bit early and got a positive! Trying not to think too far ahead as I know it’s still so early.

@Qwerty93 you we’re definitely onto something with the resting heart rate.

I also noticed I was really slightly out of breath and had a bit of a congested nose which were apparently symptoms.

Brilliant! 🤩. I’m so happy for you!

the RHR is deffo one… I’m hoping that today was implantation and it dipped because of that haha!

secretly I know I’m out… but I’ll cling on to the hope.

im 8DPO at the minute. What are you @Fluffydino21

brycequinny · 12/01/2025 23:04

Hi everyone, can I join please? ☺️

I've just had a read through all the posts about RHR. I'm attaching a pic of mine from my Fitbit. I ovulated on Monday. Does this just mean progesterone is increasing because I'm in my luteal phase? Or is it an indicator of pregnancy?

again, I’d be very surprised if you weren’t pregnant based off that!

Qwerty93 · 12/01/2025 23:27

Although I guess I could be wrong, but I swear by it… but deffo if stays higher that what your base is pre ovulation, so it can dip, but just not return to base haha
