Is anyone else starting TTC for next cycle in January?
I've got a DD who's 6 but I do feel a bit like i haven't done this in a while so just wanted to chat. 🙂

@Marshmallow99 hey same as me! 33 ttc#1, mc in march . Nothing since . Also having light spotting like you right now classed it a cycle day 1 but it’s weird not having a full blown period yet & boobs are so sore too which they’re usually gone by now! bfn though x

Moonshine88 · 27/12/2024 20:35

Can I join please? Ttc for the first time in Jan 2025...patiently waiting for AF to leave and ovulation to arrive lol

YKM2829 · 27/12/2024 22:14

So according to the apps I use just to track my cycle as it's usually quite short and it tends to irregular in September I had 3 separate periods 😵‍💫 but apparently I'm ovulating in 2 days so fingers crossed

Similar to me! I'm also TTC for the first time and just got done with AF a couple days ago.

Yellowdaff25 · 27/12/2024 23:26

When are we all testing😬. I would like to have the willpower of some ladies but I’m 7dpo tomorrow and my cheapies arrived in the post today so I will absolutely be peeing on one tomorrow to check if I am a medical marvel and implanted at 5dpo🙄🙄🙈

Cinnamonbunn · 28/12/2024 05:15

@Yellowdaff25 I think I’m going to hold out till when AF should appear, which for me is 10 DPO. I haven’t got any tests in so at the moment it’s sounding more achievable. I’m sure if I had tests in I wouldn’t last!

I have no idea what kind of willpower I'll have. I'm getting impatient just waiting for ovulation🙈

If you're that irregular, I'd really recommend using BBT and OPKs to figure out what's going on with your cycle. App algorithms assume - if you don't add temps or OPK results - a 14 day luteal phase, which may not be the case for you.

Marshmallow99 · 28/12/2024 13:19

@Tallgirl91 my AF arrived in full force 🥲, really starting to lose hope. We start our IVF journey next year I was really hoping we’d fall naturally before that but here we are! I hope AF has stayed away for you and you have some good news xx

KittyFantastica · 28/12/2024 13:34

Hello everyone, may I join your thread? I'm on a couple of others but I think quite a bit out in terms of cycle days compared to this one.

I got my peak today on OPKs, digital tracker and digital monitor. My smart watch auto-saves my temp every morning, so I'll keep an eye on that too.

I had a a loss at 6 weeks Jan 24, a MMC March 24, and then gave birth to my son at 19 weeks in Sept 24. It's been the worst year. We're not young and we don't have time to wait, so here we are. Waiting for my husband to get home tomorrow so we can have one last shot at it. Wishing you all lots of luck!

Sorry it's been a while with the ttc abbreviations is BBT temperature? And OPK positive ovulation tests? I've added ovulation tests over the months and tracking my CM is it cervical mucus and position etc.
I usually do ovulate around the time the apps say or it would only be a day before when I've been testing regular. It's my period side of things that tends to do what the hell it likes 🤣🤦🏽‍♀️ on the ovulation side of things I've been told by the doctor I may be producing too much hormones, and he suggested something to stop it altogether but I said I want more babies and he basically said well do that first as this medication has been known to make women go into early menopause which is fucking brilliant 🙄 if you can sense my sarcasm 😅 although I bloody forgot to test ovulation during September when I had 3 periods, to see if I ovulated or not. I was still on the copper coil then though so it could be it was causing the bleeds and could cause the irregularities but then I am irregular anyway too hahaha

Hi joining as TTC baby #1 in Jan 25 🙂 We started TTC in September and were following an app, but it wasn’t until I started using the Clearblue digital Ovulation Tests (pink not purple) in November that I realised I was ovulating later than day 14 so we were missing the peak days. The past 2 months I have ovulated 10 days before AF arrived so have never got to the point of testing for pregnancy..

Currently on CD 4 and started Proceive supplement yesterday (my folate levels are always on the low side in blood tests), hoping this could be the month 🤞🏼

FinallyPregnant2022 · 28/12/2024 16:48

Out for this month.
TTC #2 going into cycle 12 feeling very deflated.
SA morphology 3% and my cycles are becoming quite irregular, carrying on for a bit as #1 took 19 months but its draining and upsetting.

BabyS2025 · 28/12/2024 18:48

Anyone else now thinking they might wait a bit - wondering whether to get fit and sort my body out/take all the vitamins for a few months then try? I spent like 6 months before TTC previously obsessing and stopping using cleaning products/used solid shampoo etc to be as healthy as possible for him and I feel a bit bad not doing it before TTC this time - but I'm also super old now! Argh Blush

I’m 42 in a few weeks, I’m doing it at the same time! Don’t have time to lose and if it happens in the meantime, amazing!

Hiya and welcome ! have fun dtd during your fertile week, it would be quite memorable to fall pregnant at this time :) I am so sorry for your losses, how hard it must have been for you both to have gone through that. Was your son born at 19 weeks? We feel the same about not being young and having to get on with it lol one more thing to feel the pressure about ! lol

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm 32, ttc #1. 7 dpo today so won't be testing until the new year. We've been trying for 5-6 months now and although I knew it could take a while, the numerous BFNs are starting to get me down. I have family members and friends who conceived really quickly/on their first cycle and I'm trying really hard not to compare.

Fingers crossed for some Jan BFPs!

Welcome! Just to say that people often dont say when theyre having trouble conceiving but will let everyone know when things go well, so who knows what their journey actually was? Definitely dont compare, youre on your own path and baby will come at the absolute right time x

Absolutely agree, as much as we all make our own choices, I do believe that the timing of things happens exactly when it's needed. Not necessarily when it's wanted. (Not for everyone unfortunately 😪 but let's not dwell on negative) keep this a positive space as much as we can no matter what road our journeys take us xxx

@BloomingOrchidea thanks for the warm welcome and words of support. You're so right, of course, everyone has their own experiences. My brother and his girlfriend conceived their first month of trying and of course I hoped we'd have a similarly quick experience, but I'm on my own journey!

@YKM2829 Absolutely. I'm still in with a shot this cycle and if it's not my month, on to the next!

Lots of BD for everyone!

Hi! I think if possible (way easier said than done) try to reframe your thinking re conceiving - it's not the 'end goal' to get pregnant, things aren't magically perfect as soon as that happens (even tho it looks like it from our position!!). I try to remind myself that behind every announcement can be worry monies, possible future complications with the baby or even after birth! It's a journey for everyone x sorry if that doesn't help you I know we're all different xx
