Just thought I'd post this to find some buddies in the TTC journey as a clueless gal trying for baby #1 ! 🫶🏽
Ovulated today, so I guess the 2WW starts ! ⏰
Anyone else starting their 2WW ? ☺️

Hey @pastelpink0! Yeah the TWW is no joke, and I don’t think it gets easier or you get more used to it either. I do feel like I’m out of the woods as I get towards 8/9DPO as I know the end is near, and you can test if you want to.. but that first week DRAGS soooo much!! But it least in the first week you can try switch off from your body as “symptoms” aren’t symptoms of pregnancy.

Hey!! I mean I am alive that's all I can say haha the impatience and waiting and not knowing is doing me in but I suspect I am not alone!!! How are you feeling?

@KT199 also I agree I find the first few days of the TWW easy, as I know there's nothing I can feel and I'm just grateful to be potentially pregnant. But I get to 5dpo and my inner psycho comes out and between 5-8dpo I feel desperate. Then 9dpo to about 12dpo I realise the end is in sight and I can try again soon if it's not worked. And then about 13dpo to 14dpo I google every symptom of a late BFP or anything else to make myself feel better that af is not going to come even though I know she will. Lol!! It's an insane journey 😂

Same here ! I went into this fully aware it takes about 12 months to conceive so I think I take a bfn less to heart so far (probs because it's only cycle 3 too lol let's see how I feel in 3 months!)

@HeartyPanda @Lila34830 yeah I also love seeing other peoples bfps as it gives me hope!! I am only cycle 3 including one early loss and I can't take a bfn though lol

Glad I'm not the only one feeling old! I just keep stressing that I'll be 37 before I have a baby. I'm now thinking I wish we'd started earlier but need to remind myself that for years I wasn't sure and I wouldn't have had the life I had if I'd had a kid earlier!
@HopefulSS I haven't had any tests done yet. I had a scan for a cyst a couple of years ago and the sonographer said my follicles and everything looked very good for my age so I took that as I had time but as you say we've all been told the old clock is ticking!
I've had a few friends get pregnant without even trying at 37/38 so was hopeful I'd be one of them but doesn't seem to be the case.
Years of birth control seemingly for no reason 😂

It isn't easy and also not everybody has the same mindset so I totally get how upsetting it can be ! But it will happen for us all 🤞🏼 (I'd be so happy for even one of us to have a bfp this month!)

thank you!! We tried once last month when I was nowhere near ovulation so we knew we wouldn't have a chance of conceiving that month... but that didn't stop me second guessing every little symptom! It's just typical that so many symptoms of ovulation are also symptoms of early pregnancy haha

We are on the same DPO as I think I'm 4 or 5.
I've had cramping the last couple of days, a headache and feeling generally a bit down.
Unsure if that's anything or just symptom spotting :(

@HopefulSS you are definitely not alone - I'm impatient at the best of times never mind waiting for 2 whole weeks!! I'm keeping ok thank you, glad to hear you're hanging in there too! How lovely it is that we have this space to vent and talk with people in the same boat x

@Parks17 same here ! But I think we're reading into it a bit too much as implantation would probs be tomorrow at its earliest ? But who knows !

I hope these symptoms aren't just for fun 😂

@Lila34830 @continuallyconfused @HeartyPanda @HopefulSS I wouldn’t say in a dino just yet, I’m 30 but but no idea on what my body would say 🤣 I’ve never had any kinds of tests!

@HeartyPanda love seeing other peoples positive stories too, it definitely gives me hope!! I think that’s why I symptom spot too as it lets me hope I could be pregnant!

I just hate that with every negative I start to worry we may have some form of fertility issue, which so early in our journey is crazy!! But I am very much a negative Nellie at times! When I have these thoughts I have to remind myself there’s help out there and one way or another it will still happen for me.

@HopefulSS 100% agree with you with the timescales thing I’m 6/7 today and I’m hung up on feeling like next week is still SO FAR away to test, but come the weekend I know I’ll start to feel better! Just gotta get through the work week!!

So I didn't realise that we were meant to stop ovulation testing after our peak, my static smiley was on Saturday, then Monday and Tuesday I had an empty circle and this morning I have EWCM and the test is a flashing smiley?!

Has anyone had this before, is it just because I shouldn't be testing?

I think I'm 4-5DPO but this is all getting so confusing lol

I know right, I'm trying to tell myself that I won't test until the day my period is due, but I have irregular periods so I'd just be going off the day that Flo app tells me.

I highly doubt I'll wait that long though lol

That's a tough one I'm not too sure ! I use pre mom opks are cheaper so it allows me to test from CD 11 to cd23 so I'm sure I don't miss ovulation (irregular cycles between 30/33 days here). What CD are you ? Could be actual ovulation now ? I'd DTD if I were you to cover all basis !

I’ve not had this personally as have stopped testing after my peaks with my CB, but I know the clear blue automatically thinks your starting a new cycle once you hit peak and start rating again. There are secondary rises in estrogen post ovulation, around mid luteal phase.. it is likely being 4/5 DPO it is on the raise and will get higher still the next day or two and then drop again, and the CB has recognised this raise compared to the really low levels you had mon/tue therefore thinks you are coming into your fertile window as it’s expecting new cycle tracking!!

The clear clue advanced tracks both your estrogen and LH, flashing smiley appears because your estrogen has raised and signifies coming into your fertile window and then you get the static smiley once it’s identified an LH raise. I have found mine useful to identify start of fertile window, but it’s very sensitive to a raised LH I got the static smiley when my LH test in Premom was registered at 0.5 and not classed as positive.
