Will be following this thread for all you hopefuls.
Good Luck Tink!

Nellstar · 02/06/2008 15:58

Can I join too? Am CD 25 but didn't ov til CD20 I think. Like chocciedooby cycle (norm 28 days) all messed up because of miscarriage in March. My temps haven't risen that much but maybe they're not too accurate as DS1 wakes me up horribly early most mornings. Am compulsively buying First Response preg test kits, very foolish of me. Fell for the 'test 6 days early' nonsense. How is 'if you expect your period on the 21st you can test on 17th' 6 days early? Am idiotic marketing man's best friend.

Heron23 · 02/06/2008 17:56

hi lastbox, choccie and nellstar, welcome!
fingers crossed for all of you

i have also seen the First Response test kits promising to detect 6 days early!

Hi LastBox, Chociedoo and Nellstar! Good to have more recruits as the success of this thread means there are less of us still ttc. All a good thing...lets keep our spirits up with the luckiness of this thread!

I just looked in diary and realised I am due to see my doctor tomorrow to talk about ttc after two MCs and possible CP over the past year...don't know what to ask (push?) for, really, but just feel that after a year of all this they must be able to help me in some way. Anyway, it was the doctor who suggested this appointment so don't feel too neurotic. wish me luck and will keep you posted.

xxx

Nellstar · 02/06/2008 18:29

Good luck queenie, push for as much as poss if I were you. My sis ttc for years and was fobbed off by the doctor so many times. Meanwhile the years rolled on. She then finally got an ultrasound which showed huge fibroids. So an operation followed and then two failed IVF attempts, but they hadn't checked her progesterone levels. A different clinic just told her they are nowhere near high enough tc anyway. She's now been put on injections. She's so angry about the years the doctors fobbed her off. I am so sorry for your m/c's. It is devastating. It's good your doctor suggested the appointment. Good luck and thanks for the welcome!

tink08 · 03/06/2008 07:38

hi all tested again this morning 48 hours from last one but still bfn ! still no af symptoms or cramps tho so thats a gud sign ? i've just started a new job this week so maybe its the life change delaying af i dont know i hope it is my month . i fell with dd1 a week after i started a new job maybe this will be the same ! x

ohjoy · 03/06/2008 07:46

hi tink, fingers crossed for you

hi queenie, from what little i know, the tests you should push for are the DY3 FSH, and also 6dpo progesterone levels. the FSH apparently tells you your ovarian reserve (eggs) and the 6dpo progesterone will tell you whether the uterine lining is thick enough to sustain embryo. and also it tells whether you have actually ovulated or not.

i assume your periods are regular?

good luck with your appt!

Squack · 03/06/2008 08:50

Just dropping in to wave a quick hello

10dpo today and FF has given me a possible triphasic on cd19 here if anyone is nosy enough

good luck to everyone else!

LullyMummaOfOne · 03/06/2008 09:10

Just letting you all know im still here, its now CD15. Had a good weekend with hubby but to be honest im not sure when i have ov. I cant seem to get to grips with knowing my own body!! I bought Boots's OV test kit and started it on Sat with was CD12 but they have all come back negative.
My fingers are crossed for us all this month, welcome to all the new comers. Xx

Meeely2 · 03/06/2008 14:15

HI, I'm now CD25 and couldn't really tell ya when I OV'd possible last thursday - however DH was away from tues til friday last week - but we did BD on the Monday night, so hoping I had enough in reserve by weds! We caught up again on Friday but could have been too late. Fingers crossed anyway.

ohjoy · 03/06/2008 14:36

good luck Meeely!

queenie1 · 03/06/2008 17:39

Hi all - good luck to anyone soon approaching the AF or hopefully BFP time...

just wanted to post to say two things: firstly, that I love my doctor. She was great today. Really listened to me and my concerns, definitely thinks I had a CP last cycle and is now looking into what help maybe out there for me. Also had some blood tests, testing for hormone levels and iron levels (I'm vegetarian so maybe low) which might also be significant. Just have to wait now to see what these tests reveal. Hopefully that all is okay?

Second thing - she told me to keep trying with DH this month and not to skip a cycle (as if I would anyway!! ). But I have a question for you lot that I forgot to ask her. Do I count CD1 as the first day of brown spotting or two days later when it shifted to full on red blood? Whatdoyoureckon?

x

Heron23 · 03/06/2008 17:43

hi queenie, i think day 1 would be the full on red flow.

good to hear you got a good doc and she listened to you
sometimes that is half the battle!

is she testing you day 3 FSH levels?
