Anyone about to go into an ovulation week?

Hey!

TTC our 2nd been putting it off for a while but this month I’m going to be actively trying and testing LH etc
reading other posts feels as though everyone is already in there TWW this Aug 😂 so looking for company, anyone whose still waiting for their ovulation week.

I only used BBT when falling pregnant with my first but haven’t being doing it as regularly as I did back then.
Ive been trying to take my temp the past couple of weeks and natural cycles predicting ovulation on Weds!
what’s everyone plan of attack? 😂 I’m going to use LH strips from tomorrow onwards and as soon as I get my peak start DTD! Very sceptical it’ll happen this month with it being the first official month of trying but we shall see!
Hoping for some company if anyone is at a similar stage in their cycle?

Tww now started for me! Iv been so busy but I managed to dtd in a gap I had so that'll have to do for this month so let the overthinking and symptoms spotting begin 🤣🙈

Hi @Itonlytakesone (love the name by the way 🙂) Did you only manage to DTD once in your fertile window? 'm still a few days away from my TWW, so will l live vicariously through you for now. Keep us updated.

@Mama09876 @Renee33 i think we’re on pretty much the same time scale, my app says ovulation on Wednesday but tests are already rising on my Premom app, so think it might be a bit earlier than Wednesday!
At least we can all be impatient together for the next two weeks 😂

i didn’t managed to DTD last night but will defo be today! I’m getting loads of cervical mucus today and my test has got darker! Not quite peak but I’m not taking any chances 😂 today & tomorrow will be DTD!

Luckily managed to catch peak tonight! I try take the LH test 3 times or at least twice getting closer and I was dying for the loo tonight I thought I’ll quickly take one! And it came up dark straight away before the other line 🙌🏻
(ignore the afternoon one it was very diluted!)

All systems go tonight & tomorrow!

@Mama09876 oh wow, weldone for catching that! Im also CD14 today and tests are getting darker. On average how long are your cycles?

@Renee33 I bet you’re not to far away from peak now! My cycles have gotten shorter since having my first now they’re around 26/27 days sometimes every so often it can be 29/30 but that’s maybe once a year it happens. On average in 26/27 days.

How hard is it to try catch peak ovulation when you’ve got a toddler and work?! 😂 honestly I was planning/hoping we’d give ourselves more chance this month by at least doing it 2+ times over fertile window but only managed it this morning! Literally no time to ourselves. How are people managing it every night I’ll never no 😂😂

my temp has spiked right up this morning so I no ovulation will either happen today or tomorrow as predicted!
Let’s hope it’s worked but to be honest I’m not feeling optimistic. This was the same timings as last month and it didn’t happen. But as you said before only takes one time! 🤞🏻

Quick question if anyone can help with BBT. I’ve been taking it for years so you’d think I’d know this but it’s been so long since we tried for our first I’ve forgot 😂🙈

my temps been really low this week, because I think it’s been colder in the house, any way I’ve have a massive spike today. I know with natural cycles they need 3 days of increased temps to confirm ovulation. But does it mean that ovulation happened before the increase in temp? From what I’m reading online the spike happens the days after ovulation so that’s what confirms it? So does it mean technically I may of ovulated yesterday? Or maybe this morning? I suppose I best wait a few more days to see what my temps does.

im just wondering if I’m maybe i’m missing it and DTD to close to the day if that makes sense? Maybe I should be 2/3 days before instead.

@Mama09876 looking back at my charts, my temp either spikes the day of ovulation or the day after!
Also if it makes you feel better, I don’t have any kids and still wonder how people can be DTD every night 😂

We DTD every night with GREAT difficulty😂, we are on a ban for at least a week or two now lol

I’m on letrozole too so I had two peaks 8 days apart😭😭😭😂 I’m retiring until further notice lol

Yeah mine seems similar! Just confusing when it says you get your LH peak then ovulation can be 24-48hrs after but I know it can be different for everyone. I’m wondering based on previous months if my body works as in as soon as I get my peak on LH tests I ovulate pretty soon after!
cause the previous months I’ve got peaks late at night then I’ve had my spike the next morning.

Well we DTD early hours of this morning so let’s see what happens! I feel like I’m not holding out much hope this month already 😂🙈

What a minefield it all is, so confusing, last cycle I had my peak on day 17 but temp didn’t rise until day 19.
Think I’m pretty close to my peak based on this mornings test, gonna test this afternoon too!

Enjoying reading your comments 😄. @Mama09876 I thought I was the only one whose cycle shortened after having kids, I've also become more regular. My lines are still very light, I'm sure it will start to darken from like Monday.

@LuckyDuck93 You’re defo close!! I think tonight it’ll be peak! I read somewhere it tends to peak at night time? I always find I catch mine in the evening. You’re literally a day ahead of me then! 😂 depending on when you ovulate. I think next time (if there’s a next time) I’m going to DTD as soon as I get the high one! Rather than wait for peak.

@Renee33 oo no ive defo notice a difference since giving birth with my cycles! They use to be 30/31 days and now it’s 26/27. I mean I am 34 for now so I do keep joking to my friend I bet it’s the pre menopause starting 😂

@Mama09876 I’m on a mission to hold my wee and test tonight (obviously not holding from now 😂)
I drink so much during the day that it’s usually pretty diluted so trying to not drink as much and hold it, who knew it was so technical.
We DTD last night and hopefully tonight too so I’m hoping we’re covered!

Symptom spotting already over here. Iv just felt a little fullness in ovary area as if stuffs going on it's probably all in my imagination 🤣

@Itonlytakesone it's so easy to get carried away though isn't it, every month I tell myself i'm going to be calm and not read too much into things, every month I do just that 😂
