Hi girls - just wanted to say I agree totally with the sentiment of GOF - we had the CAMRS a while ago (campaign for real sex - inspired by CAMRA the campaign for real ale!!)

lardylumps · 15/04/2008 19:50

have to say that what with dp working full time and me working almost full time, as well as bring up dd between us it is not always GOF sometimes we only manage the F.

Hello? Anyone out there?

DH finally got home about 4.30 looking very bleary eyed, but pleased that the transfer of servers went very well. We picked DS up early and had tea by 5.30! I can't remember the last time that happened on a week day!

And double yay! coz I cooked home made food for DS and he ate it - even prompting for more! ( he prefers heinz, cow&gate or hipp organic toddler meals - he's 16 months).

He shared our dinner - jacket potato, salmon (baked with mango chutney and pancetta), with broccoli and peas. I mashed DS up with cheese and milk....I'm so proud of us both .

Sorry, its the little things!

LL so so pleased for your DH! I know you weren't overly worried but some people would be looking for ages, your DH must be very good!

Good to hear you're all taking your folic acid. Cosmo, if you've got loads of folic acid in stock I wouldn't bother with pregnacare on top - the difference is that the pregnacare is loads of vitamins as well as the folic acid, but you could take these separately if you feel you need them.

My diet is pretty poor so I take them, and threw up loads in pregnancy so thought they were a good backup.

Is anyone even there to hear my ramblings?

I have a glass of red wine, a couple of nuggets of deliciously rich dark chocolate, MN and Holby City. I'm a happy girl tonight!

Diege · 15/04/2008 20:24

Hello hello!!! Sorry for my unauthorised absence. Have been totally overwhelmed with work, and will be until Thursday, but wanted to pop in and say hi . Welcome (back) SORKY, and HI to Liagen - you seem to have fitted right in . Looking forward to catching up on Thursday, and love the new thread title!

Diege · 15/04/2008 20:26

I hear you Cals!!! mmm, salmon sounds delish!! Never though of baking it with mango chutney - may try that! You're right, it is the little things that count. For me it's heat magazine and ther Apprentice!

Broodybabywannabe · 15/04/2008 20:36

hi diege glad your back here!!

Playing Were you on "Who wants to be a millionaire?"

Ok I am probably wrong but she has ME and lives in your neck of the woods. But she lost her job the day before it was filmed and is training to be a pilot. Just checking.

calsworld · 15/04/2008 21:01

Hey Diege, glad you popped in, people were beginning to worry.

Found the salmon recipe in a book called mood food - recipes for every mood apparently and this one is for mid-week dinner parties IIRC as its v v quick. Salmon fillet, spread with mango chutney, covered (not wrapped) with pancetta, although bacon works well too, and baked for 20 mins! Brill!

DH always groans when I tell him we're having salmon but always says he enjoys it afterwards! Bit like when I give him pease pudding with his gammon.

Well, Holby has finished, I've eaten my chocolate and I've only got a small slug of wine left...I could be super good and go to bed...just a few more mins of MN first though

Cosmogirl · 15/04/2008 21:13

Cals - thanks for explaining the pregnacare v folic acid thang. I think I'll stick with the folic for now and when it gets nearer the time - maybe three months before - I'll switch to the pregnacare coz my diet probably isn't the best it could be. Ooo so exciting!!

GJ - sorry to hear the chat didn't go how you'd hope. Men eh? They just don't get us girls all the time sometimes.
One of our reasons for waiting a bit longer is to get finances tidied up. We have a credit card we want to clear.
So was he flat out 'no' or 'no but.....[insert reasons why now is not a good time]' ?
Feel free to vent on here tomorrow if you feel like it - we'll all be hear to listen.

Cosmogirl · 15/04/2008 21:50

Ok, so I'm a complete goon and can't manage the strike out....

Let's try again [deep breath] cosmo is dim

Am on folic acid, when I remember...

Think I am on CD19/28

Hopefully catch up tomorrow!

kayzisexpecting · 16/04/2008 07:19

Morning,

Sorry about the talk GJ, men just don't get it at all.

I was happier until dh told me when we went to bed last night that when I took ds to MIL's yesterday she didn't like his clothes so changed him into 'smart' clothes. She was sneakily changing him back into the clothes I sent him in when dh got there. I am so pissed off, seeing as he was wearing clothes my SIL, her daughter, got him for his birthday and she moaned at me last week that he doesn't wear clothes that he got for his birthday!!! Fecking Woman!!

But apart from that I am fine, just tired still.

Hope everyone is ok!

Broodybabywannabe · 16/04/2008 08:04
