Hi all, still tons of EWCM and crampy feelings in tummy - not uncomfortable but noticeable. Sorry if I was a bit over-excited earlier but this is a whole new world for me! I have read a lot about EWCM but never had any coz of the pill. Off to google EWCM and learn more about it! [dork..]

NatalieJane · 16/04/2008 17:27

Not sure I like being the glue.... what am I sticking?

Blardy men eh? Mind I can't talk, the house is an absolute tip, and DH is going to come home and moan, because he is feeling shit, and not up to doing it, but feck it, so am I, my head is really starting to close in now, and I can barely move my neck.

BB, if you think you have just had the EWCM, then I would deffo leave it for at least a week, 10 days would be even better. If it is indeed EWCM, and if you do get pregnant in the next day or so, there is no way it will show on a test yet.

I am all for early testing even when it is a waste of time, but early testing as in pre-OV'ing testing is taking it a bit too far!

Broodybabywannabe · 16/04/2008 17:30

lol i thought as much, my EWCM was last week quite dry there now... have decided to avoid heartache im not testing till april 31st no matter what!!
i will link that aibu in a mo

Awww GJ, How dissapointing, but I suppose looking on the bright side, it will give you chance to get more prepared, and as you say, after coming off the Depo, the chances of it happening so quickly were practically nil anyway, so at least you can let that work out of your system for a while.

Hopefully he will change his mind when the pressure is off

Cosmo, Someone (Cal I think) put up some very useful links on EWCM just on the last couple of days of the old thread, might be worth you checking it out, if you can find it

lardylumps · 16/04/2008 17:32

GJ glad you are feeling happier but keep on at him as you say this is what you want and he can not just brush your feelings under the rug..

NJ I am due on on Monday and will be testing monday morning if no af by then...

I feel really crap at the moment think i may be coming down with dd bug.

NatalieJane · 16/04/2008 17:33

BB if it was last week then you should be able to test next week. Not trying to tempt you at all obviously!!

Cosmogirl · 16/04/2008 17:33

Hi GJ, well all is not lost, maybe he just needs time to get his head around things. I had a friend in a similar situation and she is due in September . Just take some guys longer than others I suppose.
In the meantime, like you say, just keep doing all those things to prepare to conceive. It is an exciting time in itself I think [see reaction this morning to EWCM!]

Ps. Just been googling and says that cutting out caffeine [did that about 3 months ago] and drinking lots of water [drink copious amounts all day] increases EWCM.

NatalieJane · 16/04/2008 17:34

Monday? No way, Friday at the earliest, lot's of people do get BFP's before their periods are due y'know

Broodybabywannabe · 16/04/2008 17:35

BB, never mind good girl, s'not fair is what I say, gah, I have time to work on you next week, when the sound of the keys tapping away doesn't make my head want to explode....

And, on that note I am off, I can't stand it anymore, don't know when I'll be back, if this goes full blown probably after the weekend

Hope you all have a lovely rest of the week, and weekends, no testing till I get back please!!

xxx

lardylumps · 16/04/2008 17:43

OP posts:
Playingthewaitinggame · 16/04/2008 17:47

Geordie, sorry about DP, I think its probably quite common with men. I was def ready to have kids before DH but cos of my health (and therefore money as I was not working) there was no way I could have had them so it didn't bother me. DH is now more than ready for kids too, but that has taken quite a few years of me wanting them first. I suppose we have been lucky in that as we met young we have not had to rush into the kid thing so he has had years to come to terms with the idea of being a dad. I suppose that one of the advantages of being together nearly 10 years! The downside of course is that I have had to put up with being broody for years but at least I always knew I had time on my side. Hmm, I'm rambling now.... I think what I meant to say is I think for some men it can take a while for the to feel ready, the only reason thats a problem is cos our biological clocks are ticking and our broody urges are so strong!

Right ladies I am off home to have a cup of tea in the sun shine. Bye

lardylumps · 16/04/2008 17:52

NJ hope you are feeling better soon. Night playing.

I have a glass of wine everyother night does that make me a bad mother?? I think now..

Diege · 16/04/2008 18:21

Hello!! Good to see the chat is asd fast-paced and filthy as always (love the baby batter - hey Nat, you can be the baby batter rather than the glue ). Hope you feel better soon, migraines are the pits and hope that is doesn't get in the way of your GOFFing!! Good luck for the testers-to be - exciting stuff! Will look forward to at least one BFP I hope this month .
Well I am totally cream crackered [waves to STAR!!!] - not even time for a lunch break today...hopefully though things should calm down end of May, in time for ttc!
Smear test is tomorrow now, so hopefully will get results in a few weeks, though not before OV so I'm out for this month.
Will be much better at catching up tomorrow as I'm working from home

Diege · 16/04/2008 18:21

Agree, that HV is the bitch from hell

lardylumps · 16/04/2008 18:27

Good luck tomorrow Diege I am sure you will be fine..
