Hello! Anyone just starting their TWW? There's a couple of other TWW threads going but it feels like they're a bit older now with people testing already. I'm 2DPO - anyone else early on?!

@LucyCL oh wow, yeah really similar! Have you heard about the NHS cyber attack on the blood tests? So they aren’t doing any blood tests for now and they don’t know when things will be fixed so I got fed up of waiting and went private. Sorry for your MC’s 😢 let’s hope third time lucky for both of us! X

I didn't know about the NHS cyber attack! 🙄I am so glad that I went private because I was really scared and super lost after my CP. My hormone levels could be easily screwed by 2 MCs.

Sending positive vibes !!

9 dpo and still BFNs :( it’s such an emotional roller coaster!

PurpleOrchids12345 · 11/07/2024 06:08

Hi @imy feel like I’m out this cycle so quite disheartened :(

Grinchface · 11/07/2024 07:29

Oh I'm sorry @PurpleOrchids12345, it's so tough. Is there still a chance or should you have had a BFP by now do you think?

I'm sorry to hear that @PurpleOrchids12345 but 9DPO is still early, especially the morning. I am going to test at 9DPO but will wait until 10 or 11DPO to count myself out. Sending you lots of love and luck 🩷

@PurpleOrchids12345 you’re deffo not out yet, all my positives were at 10DPO or after x

Bonniexx · 11/07/2024 10:54

I get a bit confused with counting the days past ovulation.

Would you count day 1 as the day after your positive ovulation test? Or 2 days after assuming you ovulated the day after the positive…if that makes sense?

Blue2020 · 11/07/2024 12:26

@Bonniexx I usually count my ovulation day as the day after the peak. I use bbt to confirm, and fertility friend to keep track.

So I count the day after my peak as O day, then the day after that is 1dpo etc. So two days to answer your question.

PurpleOrchids12345 · 11/07/2024 12:37

@imy thank you for your kind words! Do you think testing in the morning isn’t as good as other times of the day?
@Grinchface with my previous pregnancies I could see vvvvv faint lines quite early on so it does feel like it’s not going to happen this cycle. :(
@Bonniexx thank you! Until AF rears her ugly head I guess there is still a chance! I am also confused about the ovulation timing but the books suggest the date of ovulation as 1 day after the LH surge (opk positive)

minimims2 · 11/07/2024 13:00

Hi everyone, hope it’s ok for me to jump on here!
This is my 3rd cycle of really TTC.
I am currently in the TWW, with my period due in 8 days.
This morning I went to the toilet for my first wee and when I wiped there was blood on the tissue - red blood. I thought ‘great, AF is early’. But since that one time, when I wipe it is a much lighter blood, like pinkish.
My periods are not usually early, if anything they come later than expected.
Maybe worth a mention I have been bloated, and feeling mild cramps for the past few days, but my appetite has majorly decreased - which is odd for me as it usually increases when I’m close to/due on my period.
I really hope this is not AF, it definitely doesn’t feel like it to be honest unless I’m having a strange one this cycle..
Anyone got any similar experiences to share? Should I be concerned?

PurpleOrchids12345 · 11/07/2024 13:58

@minimims2 it could be an implantation bleed based on what you are describing? Have you done a pregnancy test?

Bonniexx · 11/07/2024 14:14

@minimims2 sounds like it could be implantation bleeding to me although I've never had it myself. Definitely worth taking a pregnancy test, fingers crossed 🤞🏼 x

Hello everyone, yes I’m in the no-women’s lands of the TWW post fresh embryo transfer. Cannot anyone relate to this; 6 days post the transfer I had cramping and twinges in my lower stomach area - I was warm and generally felt uncomfortable. Since then I have had zero symptoms and feel well. At first I was happy as I thought it’s implanted now I’m losing hope thinking they could have been symptoms of me losing the embryo. Any words of wisdom much appreciated. Thanks everyone 🙃

I think fmu tends to be the most concentrated, but when it's very early you often see someone get a vvfl in the evening just because the hormone has become that bit stronger during the day! And then it'll be stronger again the next morning

Hello, welcome! I know it's hard but I'd try not to read into it too much. We all have random twinges at random times and probably wouldn't think twice if we didn't know we were in the TWW! I am no expert but I'd be very surprised if you could feel yourself losing an embryo, especially given it likely wouldn't have been implanted. So fingers crossed it was nothing (or even implantation!)

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing ok. I am 6DPO today. I feel like 4DPO-8DPO is when time really stands still. I have no physical symptoms but I feel quite positive about this cycle. I'm not saying this to anyone in real life, not even my husband! But I just have a good feeling. We will see. I'll try to test on Sunday at 9DPO. Does anyone here have any experience of double peaks? I think I had a double peak this month which has never happened before. I've attached my chart. Premom is calculating my DPO from the first peak but I'm just a bit worried that it might have been the second one that was the true peak.

Welcome @Lillylight ! I echo @imy ’s wise words! But absolutely empathise- the tww is an exciting but agonising emotional roller coaster where everything itch and ache and twinge can be fantasized into first steps and gummy smiles. You are not alone!

Bonniexx · 11/07/2024 21:58

@imy is this from your ovulation tests or temp checks? Did you take any other ovulation tests along with the Premom? I normally do clear blue and Premom at the same time because once I actually missed the peak 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve not experienced a double peak before but not sure how accurate Premom is x

They're the easy@home LH tests which I add into the Premom app. I don't temp check and have used clearblue for one cycle but didn't like them. I've found easy@home with the Premom app to be accurate in the past so I don't think it's a mistake and lots of people do have double peaks. My husband thinks it isn't really a double peak but just a very slow drop from the peak. We will see!!

Argh I'm so tempted!! Also 7DPO but I only have expensive tests (3x FRER and 1 clear blue ultra early digital) so it definitely helps to stop me 😂
