Maybe a nice shiny new thread will get us all enthusiastic again. I am on my rubbish diet so I only have nuts and beans to put out on the table. Oh and gin of course ;o) Anyone got any cakes to tempt me with?

Ding ding....let's...go

Do you think I have gone a bit mad

Morning all,

No one has given any gossip on the meet up yet?! Did you all find one another alright?

GG Hope it went well yesterday.

bucky More implantation vibes coming your way abby I'm really glad your consultatant was lovely! Great news that you get an early scan too .

tinker Great news! Hurray for your egg!

MOB It is amazing how much your temps can be affected by a restless night. It must have been rubbish to miss the meet up but at least your DH was appologetic.

Hello hatty hope you are well!

I'm feeling a bit better now after a peice of toast but have been feeling sick this morning. It is but also a bit .

tinkhasovulated · 29/04/2008 12:10

mibbes · 29/04/2008 13:04

abbymeg great news that consultant was helpful and excellent news about early scan
Bucky fingers crossed for cramps being stretching pains - I have had them since before AF was due and they are exactly like mild AF cramps.
GG how was appt ?
JB hurray for feeling sick ! You must feel really PG now !
MOB may your temp keep rising !

PicknMix · 29/04/2008 14:22

Hi all,

Am at work but just wanted to say hello and:

So pleased about the early scan Abby - am ing that the consultant was actually helpful

Tink - brilliant lines, fab! Implantation Vibes to you!!

Bucky - really hope those pains are just stretching ones, have everything crossed for you (hence the typos!)

How did the appt go GG??? MOB was such a shame you couldn't make it to the meet up - it was a really nice lunch and everybody was lovely! I did feel a little bit of bumpkin but luckily I got the excitement of being in London out of my system before we met up (thank God for my friend who met up with me before the lunch and took me on a quick tourist tour first so the hysteria was well gone!!!)

Ei sounds like you had a fab time with the other Mnetters! Have missed you and your smileys recently ? hope you?re feeling ok?

Am excited about your vomity mornings JB and Hatty! - must be feeling a bit ?realer? now (how many words can I make up in one sentence?!). In answer to you Q JB? I very luckily was stood in front of Scary waiting to be seated so when I asked for a table for ?Bucky? she tapped me on the shoulder!! It really was great to put a face to names, not sure we talked all about cm and temps but there was a fair amount of discussion!

Scary thanks for pointing me in the right direction on the tube!

Was also lovely to meet DG as well (if you?re lurking ? hi!)

Anyway ? am supposed to be working so better go? Hi to everyone else Mibbes (good to hear you're ok) and Ouften (apologies - we didn't come up with any new positions for you, will check out some back copies of More for you though...!) and Shrek.

Just a bit of me me me ? am only on CD 21, boobs have been sore since before af (!) and they?re still sore now. Am confused! My temp chart looks like a 2yr olds squiggle drawing with no obvious ups or downs so no idea what is going on at the moment. I am assuming its an anovulatory cycle this time as I usually have quite a clear temp shift by now in previous months. Who knows!!

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 29/04/2008 15:00

hi ladies
hope you are all ok
PnM i am having a similar cycle to you i think my chart is very up and down but no clear ov and my temp is hovering around the same point the past few days. my (.)(.)'s have been achey too and i feel like crap are you me really?? the only difference is i am on CD18 i think and you are CD21
tink yay you got your lines
hope everyone else is ok
gg how did your appointment go??
xx ei xx

PicknMix · 29/04/2008 19:11

Just thought I'd let you all know that Mr Picknmix went for an interview today and got the job!!! Yay! Am so excited, it'll mean he'll now work 9-5, Mon-Fri (instead of ridiculous shift work).

Bucky I read on another thread (I'm not stalking, honest!) that you were confused about your temp today - really really hoping that af stays away tomorrow

Ei - are you me?! Sadly I don't have your psychic powers . Why do you feel so crap today?

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 29/04/2008 19:53

PnM congrats to mr PnM my DH hasnt just got a new job so i doubt we are one and the same i feel sicky and tired but i did a test the other day and it was BFN as usual!! thats why i feel crap but otherwise im still in good spirits
xx ei xx

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 08:32

hi ladies
4dpo for me had really bad bleeding gums last night and this morning read a good sign

Bucky2008 · 30/04/2008 10:07

Morning Tink and everyone else who is around...

I am on knickerwatch. Temps have got a bit messed up as I have woken up at 5.15am two days in a row now, and I couldn't sleep on Monday night. I used the corrector but now feel like I have cheated . Either way, corrected or not, they are still above the coverline. Do your temps have to dip below the coverline for AF to turn up? I have NO idea about all this temping malarky....

OP posts:
hattyyellow · 30/04/2008 10:15

Yay for Mr PicknMix's job! My DH used to have to work Saturdays and that was bad enough so regular days will be lovely for you and allow much more time for bding!

Tink gums sound a good sign!

ooooooohhh Bucky I'm pratically going purple sending you lucky vibes all the way down the country . When is AF due?

Bucky2008 · 30/04/2008 10:27

Forgot to say congrats to MrPnM sorry, bit self involved this morning .

Hatty I thought my LP was 11 days based on months and months of OPKs. I didn't use any OPKs this month, but FF said I ov on CD12 and its CD24 today. AF should show today if my calculations are correct. I have the usual cramps but my temps are still quite high (albeit a bit confused my my early rising). Who knows....might be today, might not....I have no idea any more! . Thanks for the vibes though, you know I need them!

OP posts:
ScaryHairy · 30/04/2008 10:54

Bucky the coverline is a sort of notional thing to help you see when your temps are higher. So no, I don't think your temps would need to dip below the coverline for AF to show up. Some months I get a very sudden drop and other months it happens over a few days.
However, you are already past your normal LP length, so I would test.

Well done to Mr Picknmix.

Good morning to the rest of you.

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 11:47

thnaks hattyy

JollyBear · 30/04/2008 14:18

Hello everyone,

Congrats Mrpicknmix!! That is great news! You must be thrilled PnM! Thanks for the gossip on the meet up. I wish I could have come.

bucky Temps don't necessarily drop before the coverline before AF. Mine never did but did have a downward trend for a few days pre-af. Correcting temps isn't cheating when you got up early they would have been higher. Still got my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry you are feeling yucky ei. You are always such a bright button on this thread. Hope you feel better soon.

GG are you there? How did you get on?

Sorry for not saying hello to everyone but I've got to scoot off! Byeeeee

GryffinGirl · 30/04/2008 15:55

hello everyone, sorry for doing a disappearing act after the appointment at the hospital and thanks for everyone asking after me.

It went ok on Monday - so much for it being a quiet introduction and a few forms !! I was strip searched (well, examined top to toe starkers!), breast examination, weight, height, forms galore (including whether I had any covictions for abusing children , swabs, blood tests x 15 and an ultra-sound and three follow up appointments in the next month for HSG's, prescriptions for anti-biotics etc!!!! DH got the works too much to his shich - he didn't imagine for a second he'd get the full testicle felt, blood taken works either!

Unfortunately, they (as always with me) couldn't find a vein that worked for the blood test. After poking around both arms I passed out and was fitting, which happens to me when. It's something I have and I can't control it (not a fear of needles or pain thing). Anyway, the department was a bit chaotic and very busy and they weren't set up for problem patients! The nurse tried to take blood when I was sitting in a chair 'cause they didn't have a bedroom free, so like something out of Carry On Doctor, I passed out and tumbled on to the floor and I woke up to find about 5 nurses panicking and trying to get the needle out my arm .

Anyway, after I gave everyone including DH a thorough fright (they left the door open so DH and the whole waiting room watched!) they refused to do anything else to me.

Soooo, I didn't manage to get any blood taken at all and had to go back this morning!! You should see the state of my arms! I was pretty ill for the rest of the day on Monday, but they were set up for me today and they managed to get the blood this time is less dramatic fashion although I passed out again!

DH was shocked that he has been told to give up alcohol completely for three months, but (as predicted) he will listen to a medical professional, even when he wouldn't hear it from me and has promised to do so. I have told DH he'd better get his swimmers up to scratch because the thought of daily hormone injections for IVF has me quivvering like a jelly in fear, knowing what I'm like.

picknmix - congrantualtions about Mr PnM's new job., That sounds liek the perfect hours for your guys and much more conducive to BD-ing at the right times

hello to all the morning sickness ladies - are you. LOL at hatty feeling relieved to get the sickness feeling, but we know what you mean

sorry about the me me me post. Will call back in later 'cause I am so busy at work

tinkhasovulated · 30/04/2008 16:13

oh wow griffin
you have been through the mill
glad that you got sorted today with your bloods

GryffinGirl · 30/04/2008 17:22

p.s. on the up-side of the madness of Monday, the (internally obtained ultrasound I had showed that I have - apparently - a very healthy uterus and pristine ovaries which is always happy news . I also have a lovely photo of them to tape to the fridge if I like. It's not exactly a baby scan, but I was proud of them

hattyyellow · 30/04/2008 18:00

Blimey Griffin you poor thing! Your poor arms! I'm so glad it sounds positive though - that must be great to know that there are no issues with your body.

Do they think the no-alcohol will help improve DH's swimmers to the extent of trying that before IVF? Or is IVF the next step?

Glad you okay

GryffinGirl · 30/04/2008 18:26

hatty - how are you felling today, m'dear?

The doctor we saw was very efficient and knowledgable and she thought alcohol could be a big factor in the state and conditon of DH's swimmers. I am not so sure - i don't think they are going to be miraculously fixed by abstinence, but it can only be a good thing to try and there is bound to be some improvement. He probably did drink at around the male maximum per week, but has cut down since his results and he is hardly an alcoholic. I think poor DH felt a bit put out when they asked him to do an abdominal examination and liver function test.

i think the no-drinking thing is more stressful for DH because he doesn't want to explain to people who are why he's only having an orange juice rather than a manly beer, rather than him missing alcohol for three months. He doesn't want to tell anyone

ScaryHairy · 30/04/2008 19:45

Hi everyone

GG - what a traumatic Monday! I'm glad you're ok though and that your bits look pristine. I made my DH cut right back on alcohol too. I think it must be quite hard not to drink when you are travelling with work and living in boring hotels a lot, but he did it for a bit. Anyway, since the ectopic he has decided that his swimmers are fine so I suspect he is back on the sauce. I did suggest that maybe the ectopic was caused by his booze-addled swimmers steering my egg wrong, but for some reason he isn't buying that! Anyway, I am glad to hear that the Doctor was helpful and that they are getting going with things. I'll be interested to hear what the HSG is like since that is the next step for me if I don't get my baby soon... The probe they do the internal scan with is a bit... shocking, don't you think?!

Yay for the egg, Tink.

Sorry you feel crap Ei. You haven't seemed as bouncy as usual lately. I hope everything is ok.

Hi to everyone else, MOB, JB, HY, Mibbles, PicknMix, Bucky and anyone else looking in.

JollyBear · 30/04/2008 19:56

GG Goodness what a time you've had! That sounds like a thorough MOT for Mr and Mrs GG. Hope those slabbed arms heal nicely. What great news from the ultrasound, well done that girl

I understand why your DH doesn't want to tell everyone why he is giving up the booze, it must still be a touchy subject for him. Can he not claim he is doing a thorough detox as part of a healthy living/exercise programme? Lots of people do that sort of thing these days and after a little light-hearted teasing I'm sure his friends would leave the subject alone. OR he could be the designated driver at social events and drink non-boozy beer or wine if you have people round. I think mibbes did this after her BFP when she had a friend round. She didn't notice!

It sounds like it was a really positive appointment and remember that just a slight increase good top quality swimmers would increase the liklihood of a BFP!

mibbes · 30/04/2008 21:25

Bucky you have passed LP so test, test, test !
GG at passing out and fitting, but hey congrats on the perfect shiny uterus and ovaries Sounds like medics have been super-thorough which can only be a good thing. When do you have to go back for all of the results ? DH may not like the no-beer thing but remind him that us PG ladies (and that includes you soon) have to not drink for 9 whole months and the first trimester when people don't know can be tricky. As JB said I have had non-alcoholic beer and drank red grape juice from a wine glass and nobody noticed it wasn't rioja ! However, these tricks are only really possible at home. Am really glad you have started on the road to getting 'fixed' - wishing you all the luck in the world.xx

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 30/04/2008 21:46

hi ladies
GG OMG what a rough time you had on monday!! i hope you are ok and woohoo on your shiny healthy uterus and ovaries thats one hurdle you dont have to jump anyway i hope your DH is putting in the effort now by not drinking he has been really good recently so i hope he keeps it up
i went for my first reflexology treatment today it was good the lady said i had blockages in my energy throughout and toughness around my uterus so hopefully with a couple of treatments i will be nice and soft again and have a little beanie in there
sorry i havent been as chirpy as usual recently but it must be my blockages dunno any other reasons
hope everyone is fine today
bucky TEST TEST TEST i have said before i am hopeful for you and i hope you get a BFP you deserve it hunny xxx
xx ei xx

Bucky2008 · 01/05/2008 09:07

Morning

Glad the reflexologist is smoothing this out Ei

Temp went up today, but still only CD25 so I am afraid to test. My shortest cycle ever was 24 days..... Still have cramp type feelings, so I am on knickerwatch.

Mibbes aka Eelcatcher, how is the Miblet??

Hi to all my other 2ww buddies.

OP posts:
JollyBear · 01/05/2008 09:19

Fingers very crossed for you bucky! A rise in temp is a very good sign

Cross-posted with you yesterday scary. If your DH has just cut down on the booze then that is great. Have you still got him on the vitamins?

mibbes How are things with you? Is your scan next week? How very exciting!

ei Glad the reflexology went well. It must be great to relax and have some time to yourself. You have been so busy lately

MOB How are your temps? Still red hot?!
