Hey... count me in

Name Start Current Loss Goal
FYM 11st 11lb 11st 11lb 0lb 10st 0lb
Ready 10st 3lb 10st 3lb 0lb 9st 7lb

I do weight watchers but without going to the meetings...

I like the idea of Friday weigh-ins by the way... any indulgences on a friday can be rectified by the following friday easier than the monday

I've been wondering about this. How 'overweight' is 'too overweight to conceive'? I'm 5'8", and 11st 7 - I know this is a bit too fat, but is it a fertility problem fatness?

I reserve the right not to reach my goal weight though as it seems a loooooong way away!

Ready · 04/04/2008 18:16

Afternoon gals...

First off, I have to say Roseability - I love your name... am I right in thinking it was inspired by the Idlewild song of same name? If not, please feel free to ignore me.

Does anyone think it is a good idea to share our food intake? It might sound laborious (sp?), but I think that if I know I have to confess what I have noshed, I might think twice about stuffing it in my gob

Didn't help today, as I met some friends in town and we had lattes and cake in johnlewis... and tonight going to a family meal... but tomorrow?

Ready · 04/04/2008 18:24

Am I right in thinking... that fresh pineapple is good in the 2ww? I am sure someone said pineapple juice helped with implantation? ??

herbaceous, I don't think that you are overweight... according to the charts, your bmi puts you in the healthy weight range.

ShayeraHol · 04/04/2008 18:28

Good idea Ready - I'm also likely not to scoff if I have to fess up!

That said - I'm off for an Indian now

I may have fallen at the first hurdle here

Brekkie - Juice (pineapple/cucumber/apple/Avocado/lime)

Snack - Juice (pineapple/cucumber/apple/Avocado/lime)

Lunch - Juice (Spinach/apple/parsley/beetroot/lemon)

4pmish - Panini in Pret a manger (500cals)
Cup of tea
1/2 chocolate brownie (shared with DS)

Dinner - Juice - Apple/cinnamon

With my sensible head on I'm not entirely sure it was a good idea to do such a severe diet when just been ill....

Am going to revert to Weightwatchers tomorrow

fym, I'm impressed I decided to fall off the wagon in style though, fairly early on:

Breakfast: Muesli
Morning snack: Special K snacky things
Lunch: Salad, lasagne, pitta with hummus, and profiteroles
Afternoon snack: a cream egg
Dinner: Indian

And wine to finish it off (which is to cheer myself up for not being pregnant )

Tomorrow, back to it properly!

Wheelybug · 04/04/2008 20:56

I should probably join this too - Have already successfully lost a bit (started at about 11 stone now down to about 10lb 4 ish - my scales were £2 in Ikea and don't appear that accurate).

I'm running and watching what I eat. Have been quite ill with flu this week which has helped !

Have 9 st as my goal as I am a midget so this is what I should be for ideal BMI but I don't think I have been this weight since early teens so would settle for 9 stone 7 (am quite naturally muscley below the flab which I htink skews the bmi)...

Wheelybug · 04/04/2008 20:58

My eating today isn't particularly representative as I am flu ridden so have no appetite so haven't eaten much but what I have eaten wasn't great !
Breakfast - 1 crumpet with marmite
lunch - 1.5 bacon rolls
dinner - yet to be had, should be sweet potato/squash curry but not sure I fancy it so don't know what it will be.

roseability · 04/04/2008 23:10

Yes Ready indeed inspired by the wonderful Idlewild! Herbaceous too fat at 5"8" and 11st 7! I am 5 "4" and 12st 9! I don't consider myself 'that' fat as I have a lot of muscle due to a history of running/gym etc. I am size 14-16 but would like to get down to a comfortable size 14 before conceiving, which would be about 12st for me.

fym · 05/04/2008 07:41

Morning all

Yes I'm going to continue but just not so drastically. I'm going to juice everything I have for Breakfast and evening meal and have one 'proper' meal.

The juices are really nice but I just felt so weak and faint - mind you I'd had to do all the washing, tidy the house then went to the playground with DS then shopping....I think you're right lottie, you need to sit down and relax and I can't do that!!!

Hi all -

Yesterday was good - apart from two small beers.

Am following the juice diet for two meals and a 'light' meal for the third. Had a prawn jacket and salad yesterday and will have a tomato pasta today. The juices are really nice (i'm quite surprised!)

HI lottie

Well done on the low carb diet.... this juicing lark is ok but will revert to the weightwatchers when I finish all the fruit. Only 5 pineapples and 40 apples to go

OP posts:
fym · 06/04/2008 09:54

wheely get well soon! Flu is awful isn't it?

rose yes I'm in the same boat as you 5'5 so any excess looks bad - it only takes a stone for me to go up a dress size - I'm a 10/12 when 10 stone, a 12/14 at 11 stone and am now a definite 14 at 11st11. None of my clothes fit and I don't want to buy more cos I think it's a waste of money, I keep thinking I'm going to be buying maternity clothes so it won't matter

shay one meal isn't bad - you can soon get back on the wagon!

sarah ready how are you doing?

Does anyone else have this problem - I'm constantly thinking about TTC and thinking I must eat to OV??? And then on the 2ww eat "just in case" probably how I put on the extra 1/2 stone in the first place over the last couple of weeks while trying to lose the weight!!!
