Hi ladies, I started a thread a couple of cycles ago and found it so helpful chatting to people at exactly the same point so we could go through the TWW together and eventually test together. I think this is cycle 5 of TTC our first (losing track), anyway… I am ovulating around Tuesday and currently have flashing smiley on clear blue OPK, so we’re in the thick of dtd ever day!!! Looking forward to having a little group of cycle buddies for this month… I found last month so awful and had a really low week when AF showed, here’s hoping this month is our month x

I'll join! 3rd cycle ttc number 2. Used OPK this cycle and peaked on 28th. I've been totally useless at holding off testing last 2 cycles 🙃

Hi everyone. In the TWW, and I took some tests after work I should be around 10dpo or around there and not sure if it's the start of a v faint line or an indent. Please someone help xx

@WildeWalker I think you'll be in good company on the early testing front 😂

ThelastRolo20 · 30/04/2024 17:52

@ttcjourney20001 I just replied on the other thread but I think it's too early to say for sure either way - good luck for tomorrow's test 🤞🏻

Ah I completely understand 😊 it's why I'm going to try my best to hold off to 13DPO!

Jean86 · 30/04/2024 19:12

Hey everyone,
Thought I'd join after spending months searching these forums reading old feeds for answers etc.
Have been trying for a few years now, started tracking ovulation with online calendar. In September we started both taking proceive conception and conceived in December...unfortunately we had a MMC at start of March so now we are back trying again. Have been tracking ovulation since mid March with home ovulation kit (like everyday...have become obsessed with peeing on sticks😄). I'm now 7/8 dpo and today have been getting weird tingling (almost like electric shocks) pains and fighting the urge to upgrade my obsession to pregnancy tests. Probably overthinking it and setting myself up for disappointment...

ThelastRolo20 · 30/04/2024 19:15

@Jean86 welcome and so sorry about your MMC, I've had two and they're awful! Oo when are you thinking of testing? X

Jean86 · 30/04/2024 19:36

Hi,
Trying to hold out until Friday, period is due Sunday so would rather know if its going to arrive etc. Ovulated last month aswell, but wasn't surprised, didn't feel as optimistic as I do today. Probably overthinking.

Sarah268 · 30/04/2024 19:43

@ThelastRolo20 assuming ovulation is tomorrow i will take the next day as 1DPO :)

@Jean86 i felt those electric shocks when I conceived earlier this year (it did result in MC but that was later) so I think that's a good sign!! I do think it might be implantation though so hold off on the testing for a while! Fingers crossed for you.

Exciting! You'll only be around 4 days behind me and for all my early symptom spotters, a peer reviewed study in 1997 did find that in women who conceived there was a steeper increase in progesterone in the early stage of the luteal phase... So it might not all be in our heads 😂

Think I'm changing my mind everyone, looks more like an indent than a positive
Try again in a few days. Sorry about the dust need to get my window spray out!!!

Lol at the stories, poor dh's.
My dh said he feels I just use him for that one week each month, which is true, I def do.

Yes @Marie1990x i'm a fellow crazy pineapple lady, I bought a pineapple and dark chocolate for my tww, both are meant to be good to help x

Sorry to hear another preg lady at work @ThelastRolo20 that's tough. x

Also agree with the ladies saying about having a drink during tww, putting your life on hold is no good, plus I read a study that ladies who drink wine are more likely to concieve... just saying 🙂 x

I’m such an OPK novice. According to dates (and EWCM and some ovulation pain yesterday and today) i should have ovulated today but LH levels look low on premom. Those with more experience, can the numbers the app comes up with be a bit off? Attached a pic. Been DTD as per SPEM but I’m wondering whether I’ve even ovulated?

Familyfirst12 · 01/05/2024 00:04

@Sarah268 im invested in your sex life too, don’t worry🤣🤣 we’ve dtd the last 4 days in a row. Should be ovulating tomorrow like you hopefully. How much have you managed to cover? I’ve had horrendous ovulation pains today, worse than I’ve felt before and like shooting pains in my sides! Already wishing the TWW over!

Sarah268 · 01/05/2024 09:42

@Familyfirst12 🤣 well done! we didn’t on the day before my peak as DH was late back from work and exhausted. We did yesterday (peak in the AM) and I’ve blocked out some time today too as we are both wfh 🤣 although I feel like I’ve already ovulated as I had pains yesterday. Anyone know if you can peak and ovulate in the same day?! Also does anyone know what ovulation pains actually are? Is it when the egg is actually released or like pre-release? (Fully aware I’ve gone full crazy-lady asking questions like this!)

@Musicianmum22 looks like you were on your way to your peak (ideally you would’ve tested again yesterday afternoon to see if it increased?)
then that hopefully means you will ovulate today :)

@Ladyinpink1 cheers to that 🥂

ThelastRolo20 · 01/05/2024 09:47

@Sarah268 I would think shortly after, ovulation itself causes no pain, but the act can cause fluid to leak into the abdomen etc (not dangerous) but the pain is your body getting rid of it.

That's my understanding anyway 😂

Musicianmum22 · 01/05/2024 10:09

I tested this morning and it’s suddenly jumped to high! In previous cycles before using OPKs I’ve relied on EWCM and ovulation pain but clearly I’d been jumping the gun!

I remember the abstract of that paper but didn't read it. Was the correlation between a steep progesterone rise and conception because higher levels of progesterone created better conditions for subsequent implantation or because the body was producing more in response to otherwise undetectable conception?

ThelastRolo20 · 01/05/2024 12:17

@sirensong it needed further follow up but their prediction based on what they saw was that that ferilised egg gave off pre implantation signals. I haven't done much further reading - I'm just going off of that but of course I feel 100% normal today anyway 😂

Sarah268 · 01/05/2024 13:30

@ThelastRolo20 the female body is just mad and so clever 🤯 also didn’t reply but good idea for the 5km time! I run too so I’m focusing on keeping that up to distract me.

Really going to try not to symptom spot though. Just going to be a super chill zen girl for the next 2 weeks 🤥

ThelastRolo20 · 01/05/2024 13:39

@Sarah268 oh yeah, totally. Join me in "not symptom spotting". I was obviously also going to be very zen but here I am, with near constant mild cramps, gassy, and bloated CONVINCED this is all because my body is working super hard to move a fertilised egg along 😂

I even POAS this morning to get rid of the itch. Obviously negative 😂

YorkshirePeridot · 01/05/2024 19:43

Should I be worried that I don't seem to have much EWCM this cycle? Had the opk peak, boob sensitivity and increased sex drive but the cm is just not happening 🤔

sirensong · 01/05/2024 19:57

@YorkshirePeridot I was wondering this morning where mine had got to (still waiting for surge) and after a vulgar rummage discovered some. It may be that there's some lurking.

After (or just before) your peak it would usually start to lessen or stop anyway, as it's driven by oesteogen not LH, which peaks before the latter.

ThelastRolo20 · 01/05/2024 20:00

@YorkshirePeridot @sirensong the amount doesn't matter, it's very variable. One cycle I conceived I barely had any!

I'm 4DPO and I'm having some constant cramps. If this was in a week's time I'd be convinced AF was about to turn up. It's very strange and don't know whether to be concerned!
