ok

Have done an ovulation test and it's strongly indicating an LH surge which ties in with what the monitor is telling me, so I am going to go for it just incase with the Pre-seed and legs in the air. I can't stop myself basically and it's the weekend, we've not had sex since wednesday night, I can't let this chance go so I'm going to give it a bloody good try this monh. Haven't told my OH as I don't want to pressure him particularly as I have basically said I am not trying this month but tonight I am going to do my very best. I guess sex in the next 36 hours is worth a shot.

MollieMooma · 21/06/2008 18:45

Beanie Hope your too busy to read this!!!

blackrock · 21/06/2008 20:41

Great news Mentalpup.

beaniesteve You go girl!

Baby dust swirling and whirling around!

HopingCat · 21/06/2008 21:21

Congratulations mentalpup! Hope you'll stay in touch and let us all know how you are. Other people's BFPs really make me feel like it will happen for us all.

Am glad other people get carried away like I do when they are in the waiting stage. I'm just worried that it will make me more disappointed if AF arrives in a couple of weeks time.

HC

mentalpup · 21/06/2008 21:26

Thanks everyone. Will keep an eye on the thread to see how you're all doing. Lots and lots of babydust being thrown your way.....
Good luck to everyone!

emma2617 · 21/06/2008 23:02

Huge congrats Mentalpup...hoping some of your babydust lands on me!!

I haven't tested again yet, definately going to wait until Monday. Im on CD34 now and still no sign of AF so I am starting to have a little more faith in the BFP rather than the BFNs, I have also had some pulling feeling in my stomach today. I keep getting upset and snappy though as in the back of my mind all I can hear is CP, CP, CP

And just to make things that little bit worse we went to the local carnival (basically a parade through the town centre!) with DPs nephews who are 2 and 3 and are sooo cute! Reminded me just how much I want one of my own!

Oh well, heres to another day of distraction tomorrow!

scully · 22/06/2008 09:56

Congrats mentalpup, great news
Well done emma for waiting until Monday to test again, it's hard isn't it.
I spent the day with a friend due in Sep with no4, surprisingly not too difficult considering my no3 should have been due in Feb08 or Nov08 but makes me keen to have a big belly again soon I'm seeing her again tomorrow but as she is one of the few who know about my m/c I feel comfortable around her to talk about most things.
Good luck Beanie, hope you've been busy

MollieMooma · 22/06/2008 09:56

Emma Keeping everything crossed for you

emma2617 · 22/06/2008 20:40

Evening Ladies...Just thought I'd drop in and update as I am still trying to distract myself!!

I have just realised that I have left my only remaining HPT at work!! so either I don't test tomorrow, or I keep my legs crossed until I get in and then run to the loo!!!

emma2617 · 22/06/2008 22:05

Mollie I'm not going to keep my legs crossed all day! I will test at work!! Testing on CD20?! I feel I should say something about your early testing...but I'm not feeling that hypocritical today...as long as you let us know the result!!!

Sleep well everyone, I will let you now how it goes at the docs!

Hello ladies,
I'm sorry I haven't been around much recently. I keep meaning to check in with you all then can't find where you are hiding until I find you in active convos. I'll have a catch up later when I get the chance.
No news from me. Think I am 4DPO but hard to tell with temping because I've had food poisioning this weekend and my temp has been very high. Have 21 day bloods being taken on Weds so hoping they will give me some answers...
Welcome to the newbies!! Congrats to those who have got their BFPs and lots of luck to those who are testing soon.
I've updated the list because I noticed a few of us were a day behind. If I've made a mistake just shout at me .

MollieMooma · 23/06/2008 10:13

Yarnie I'm not sure about anything else getting crossed but we definately have our wires crossed! I'm not testing I meant you I don't normally test early just wait for AF to avoid disappointment, sorry if I wasn't clear!

MollieMooma · 23/06/2008 10:14

Oh my what a day already that last post was for Emma not Yarnie!
If I wasn't at work I'd go back to bed!! doh

blackrock · 23/06/2008 10:26

Emma i think I would not had your resiliance! Goodluck today.

emma2617 · 23/06/2008 11:45

Oh dear Mollie...I think you ought to go back to bed!!

Blackrock I managed to hold out, tested this morning but got another BFN! And the doctor has really thrown down the gauntlet...not to test until 3/4th July

He's not really my favourite doctor as he is only at the GPs for a year to complete his GP rotation as he is a qualified hospital doctor...and it shows...he can't be bothered listening! He said that I should wait and test again around 3/4 July if AF hasn't shown, but that the symptoms I described could be caused by a number of things and that if I don't feel any different then I should call back on Friday and book in for some blood work (testing for thyroid function, anaemia and other such things!). He has also asked me to come in again in 2 weeks (which I have booked for 8th July) if I am not feeling any better.

So basically to sum up...wait for TWO WEEKS this is going to be a looooooong wait

MollieMooma · 23/06/2008 12:28

Emma I can't believe he wants you to wait that long? What did he say about the first BFP, did he even consider it? Isn't it frustrating when GP's don't listen
So sorry your still playing the waiting game hun x

emma2617 · 23/06/2008 12:33

Yeah...he has really p*ssed me off! When I told him about the HPTs he mumbled something under his breath which I couldn't make out! All I made out was "blah blah blah probably blah blah blah!!" Not terribly helpful!

And then he asked if I had ever been pregnant before, when I said no his response was most irritating - "so you obviously don't know what it feels like to be pregnant then." Of course I dont...how would I?! Why do you think I'm here?!

I am going to need 2 weeks to calm down enough to be in sam room as him aain!

scully · 23/06/2008 12:35

You're already cd36 and you need to wait 2wks to test again, Emma You're not going to wait that long are you? I would test again on Thurs or Fri this week if af hasn't arrived. How long is your cycle normally? For my last 3 pregnancies, I didn't test until cd35, as my cycle was an average of 30/31 days but did occassionally go slightly longer than that, which caught me out once.
Didn't think you'd be testing so early Mollie
My days are right now, thx Sparkly

emma2617 · 23/06/2008 12:42

Scully Yeah, I only had my implant removed on 15th May, then AF arrived 19th May and was completely normal in length and flow etc! But as I have nothing recent to compare it to I don't really know how long my cycles are.

I think I will try to make it until the weekend at least before testing!

But the doc has really got me thinking about my thyroid function now as a lot of my symptoms fit in oh well, I am getting used to waiting now!!

HopingCat · 23/06/2008 12:47

Emma. I'm not sure what your GP is talking about. I didn't 'feel' pg when I was expecting dd until I was about 6 weeks. I waiting for symptoms to back up the very faint bfp I'd got, but they took a while to appear. Most GPs say that hpts are as reliable as what they do at the surgery, so don't disregard the results you've got. As people have said, you can't get a false positive, unless you were reading an evapouration line (as I've done once before). Definitely test again at end of week and we'll all keep fingers crossed for you.

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 23/06/2008 16:45

hi ladies
what a silly GP you have emma a positive HPT is a direct indication of pregnancy!! if you have never been preg before than how are you meant to know how it feels?? i have been preg 4 times now and had different feelings each time!! my first i had no symptoms at all (ended in MC) my second i had every symptom going (had DD) my 3rd (CP/MC) i had mild nausea and back ache my 4th (CP/MC) i had strong nausea and achey boobs (which i still have)so it just goes to prove you can have every symptom or none at all and still be preg. dont worry about that stupid GP i have my fingers crossed for you the next time you test.
hope everyone else is ok
i had a fab weekend my best friend surprised me with tickets to see bon jovi on their stadium tour. we went yesterday to see them and it was AMAZING!!!! we were in the standing area next to the stage and it was soooo good!!
hoe everyone else had a great weekend too
xx ei xx

blackrock · 23/06/2008 20:34

Emma I agree with hopingcat and Queeny, I wouldn't know what early pg feels like, as I was well over a month gone when I realised with DS1, not sure that was a helpful remark from the GP, perhaps he is old school, without the 'bedside manner'!

Test at the end of the week for your own peace of mind, if that is what you feel like doing.

Will keep checking this thread!

.

emma2617 · 24/06/2008 19:33

Evening Ladies!! Just thought I would pop in and update! I have just got back from buying a new car ...well, I had to cheer myself up!!

Blackrock I could almost accept the lack of "bedside manner" and old school style if he was actually old! But he must only be about 26/27!! Oh well...we shall see!
