Lou I sometimes wish I had a magic wand too!! I keep looking at girl at works scans and feeling her baby kick, I am so happy for her but then cry at home szometimes cos thats all I want. DP has 94% abnormalities and they said that anything up to 85% is acceptable, with normal levels being approx 50%. They said to TTC and if nothing happens then we can get a referral as we know his fertility is compromised. So we are happily TTC and in the back of my mind I know that if it doesn't go to plan I will only be 22 when we get referred so I have plenty of time...so I feel a lot better about it. I can only imagine how much harder it would be if I was older.

Ei Sorry to hear your news. Sorry to ask, but what is CP?

JustJaamy · 12/06/2008 15:02

Sending out great BIG HUGS to everyone today.

Ei - hun, I'm so sorry. Can you go and get checked out? There may be a (very simple) reason why you have had 2 CPs so close together.

Glasto - am so that you and your DH are going through this. In a way, it's more difficult for men since not many of them can talk about things like this whereas us girls often have at least one friend we can confide in. Let your DH know that you love him and that he was your partner and friend before you even thought about DCs. That hasn't changed. Hope you get a referral soon and that it IS something like a blockage that can be easily rectified.

Lou - It's so unfair that everyone else seems to have what you want. That's how I often feel, anyway. One day it will be you showing off your scan piccies.

Take care all.x

JustJaamy · 12/06/2008 15:07

Emma - good for you, staying positive. You are so right, you have plenty of time. Such a seneible head on such young shoulders!

A CP is a chemical pregnancy. The pregnancy hormone (chemical) is there but for some reason there hasn't been any implantation. Like a very early MC. So you will get a BFP and be elated and then AF will arrive.

emma2617 · 12/06/2008 15:50

Thanks JustJaamy I try my best!!!

glastochick · 12/06/2008 15:55

Ei, I am so sorry to hear about your CP . Sending you virtual hugs and a huge mug of hot chocolate.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. I have been googling like mad and not getting on with any work. There is a condition called Azoospermia in which no sperm are produced. Apparently, true Azoospermia is very rate, but ICSI can help.

Our GP said she would normally wait 3 months in cases of abnormal sperm analysis before referal to the infertility clinic, but she is referring us today. Hopefully it won't be too long. We're off to Glastonbury on the 25th and I'd like to have an appointment before then, but if not then immediately afterwards. I am hoping the clinic will be able to tell us whether he's failing to produce sperm at all, or whether he's just failing to ejaculate it.

In the meantime, AF is due but no sign of turning up. Normally I'd have my hopes up by now, but instead I'm resigned to the fact that this is my 4th squiffy cycle

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 12/06/2008 16:34

thanks girls you really are lovely
glasto im so sorry about your DHs news i hope you get your referral really soon so you can get your BFP soon too
i am feeling slightly more philosophical about things now afer having a good sob and a small tantrum about it! i have an appointment on tuesday to discuss things with my GP and see if he can refer me or somethin. he was concerned about the first one and said he would definitely refer me if it happened again so hopefully this will happen and i will get some sort of help about having CPs! i have heard that it happens to alot of women so i doubt i will get much help either way. ahh well IT WILL HAPPEN FOR ME AND EVERYONE ELSE HERE!!!!!!
xx ei xx

glastochick · 12/06/2008 18:19

Ei, having a good sob and a tantrum is nothing to be ashamed of. Everything you're feeling is totally natural. I have even had a little stomp of my feet today .

I hope your Dr can refer you. It's horrible seeing all this sadness on the boards at the moment and I just wish we could all get our BFPs.

I don't understand why it has to be so difficult. Why us?

((((hugs))))

Glasto Hugs are in order for you too girlie and Mr Glasto so sorry about your news too, I would imagine that if it hasn't hit dh yet then it will and for men it seems to be all about macho pride as well, so he will need a bit of TLC, bless, my heart goes out to both of you x

Sorry Em I knew I'd get it wrong somewhere! There's bound to be more!

I've just done a bit of housekeeping as well, and looked up some of the girls on the end of the lists, some haven't been on MN for a couple of months now, others have joined different threads (sob) and CasperCat is pg now, so I've removed some of the longer ladies, if they are lurking or wish to rejoin please don't be offended I just like things neat!

beaniesteve · 13/06/2008 09:56

I've decided to give TTC a rest for a couple of months. Things are just not happening for us and althogh I know I will be hoping at the end of each cycle that I am, I just think I need a break from checking for ovulation and having perfectly timed sex etc. I've got stuff happening in my life, Glastonbury, my sister in law having a baby in September, things like that which I think I will enjoy more if I am not obsessing about getting pregnant.

Am still going to go to the doctor to see what the next step for me is, and my OH is hopefully going to get himself checked out too.

I am not sure what to do about my fertility monitor. I set it up at the begining of this cycle and it's not started asking for sticks yet, so I don't know if I can just ignore it for a couple of months and just press the M when I get my period? No point wasting sticks if you see what I mean.

please keep me on the list though, I will pop in and see what's going on.

Good luck everyone!

MollieMooma · 13/06/2008 10:29

Beanie Sorry to see you go but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! Glad to hear you will still pop in every now and then and hopefully with some good news of your own. Take care and good luck to you too

scully · 13/06/2008 12:59

Good luck Beanie, enjoy what you have coming up for the next few months and hopefully good news will come your way without even trying for it
Glasto, hope you get a referral soon, to find out what the next step is.
You're lucky you have age on your side Emma, but hopefully things will happen without assistance.
Nothing I can do until after the vaccination waiting period. 3wks tonight I know what I will being though

JustJaamy · 13/06/2008 13:37

BS - enjoy the next few months - GLastonbury wil be a blast and your sister's baby will give you plenty of cuddling time. Look forward to you pooing in every so often to keep us posted. Take care. x

Ei - Glad GP is sympathetic. Doesn't matter that CPs are quite common. This is you and you deserve a little TLC and attention. Loving your positivity. We must meet up sometime, without the Liverpool bumps!

Glasto - another sympathetic GP. Really hope you at least have a date for an appt before GLastonbury so you can relax a bit. The not knowing is the worst.

Scully - I bet you can't wait for your wating to be over.

Lou - how're you doing today?

Hi to Mollie, Emma and HC and everyone else.

Have decided holiday will be a BD fest! GOd help anyone in the next room. Determined to come back from hol with a little bean.

loustillwantsaBFPtoo · 13/06/2008 14:29

Hi all!!

Thanks for asking Jaamy - i am feeling much happier today. Have just spent 3 relaxing hours in the hairdressers for the first time in 7 months!have lovely coloured, styled hair and feel 100% percent better. Why do I put things off? Worlds greatest procastinator! (sp?)

Beanie - will miss you! good luck xx
Hi Mollie, scully, Emma and everyone!

As for BD - Jaamy today is 4 in a row for us! hope our neighbours are not listening!

xxxx

caspercat · 13/06/2008 15:11

Hi all,
sorry not been on here for ages, had to have a break after 1st month of full on TTC as decided it was already driving me loopy, and then on hols during Ov time last month (staying with friends, so decided to write that month off!). And ironically, that's the month i got pregnant - typical. Only managed sex twice, but got lucky i guess. Got BFP on Tues. Wasn't sure about coming back here to tell everyone, cos have been lurking & i know a lot of you are going through a difficult time at the mo, & didn't feel it was appropriate timing. But i got found out!!!
So just wanted to say, my heart goes out to you all, i will keep lurking to see how you're all getting on, thankyou for your support during my stay.
Huge hugs to all, stay positive, you all so deserve to get your beans. The support you all have & give is incredible
xxxx CC xxxx

emma2617 · 13/06/2008 15:27

Caspercat Don't be silly...a BFP does wonders for morale! And it makes my day!!

Huge Congrats...there seems to be a theme with the recent BFPs though...whenyour not concentrating on it and stressing, it just seems to happen!! Something to think about ladies!!

Hope the little beanis doing well Casper

MollieMooma · 13/06/2008 16:13

CasperCat Sorry I outed you! We love good news stories so don't feel it wasn't appropriate to come and share with us, it's usually the boost we all need. Congratulations girlie!
Scully Not that your counting or anything
Jaamy If you get lucky on hols are you going to name it like Posh & Becks, after the place of conception
Lou I love being pampered, makes a girl feel so much better x

loustillwantsaBFPtoo · 13/06/2008 18:03

if so Jaamy hope you're not going to anywhere with a dodgy name!
see this

off for a glass of pink wine! Not going to go OTT this month on "no this no that no other".
