BS Sorry
Lou Hope you're not suffering too much today.
Emma Did you manage to join fertility friend? You can get very cheap OPKs from ebay. These are the ones I use and they save a fortune. If you need any help with anything just shout.
Glasto I completely agree. I had a really heavy weekend before finding out with I was pg with DD. I didn't drink during my pregnancy (except the odd half a glass at weddings and such) and she is fine.
LS Sore boobs sound like a very good sign. Not too long to wait until you see your little bean. Have a fantastic hol. Are you going anywhere nice?
Mollie Thanks for the babydust!
Hi to everyone else.

glastochick · 14/05/2008 09:34

for you BS Emma, I have OPKs from Ebay and as I use them in conjunction with other OV spotting methods I'm confident in their accuracy .

Last night I noticed my boobs are starting to feel heavy and this morning they felt slightly tender. Most unusual as they have been free of this since OV and I usually get boobs that feel like bricks on the day after OV! Ah well, guess only time will tell and I have to wait until AF's due date on Sunday before getting any hopes up (will not, will not, will not test until AF at least 4 days late)

emma2617 · 14/05/2008 09:55

Thanks ladies!! I have got some OPKs just 10 that i got with the thermometer! might have a look on ebay for some more though and use them in conjunction if it helps!!

And anothe stupid question...can anyone translate how your list works and what it means for a complete newbie!!

Thanks, you lot are great!!

SparklyPilaPala · 14/05/2008 10:54

Emma The list basically is updated everyday to show what day (CD) people are on in their cycle. It also shows what cycle they are on (cycle 10=they have been trying for 10 months) and it shows how many children they already have (ttc#2=trying to conc no.2).
If you give me your stats I will add them to the list. You may also find the acronym list at the top of the page in 'useful info' helpful.

JustJaamy · 14/05/2008 11:28

Oh BS am very to see you at the top of the list. Hope the cystitis has at least cleared up.
Lou and Glasto - really hope there'll be some good news for you both at the end of the week.

Anybody else waiting to test?

blackrock...oufton - not heard from you for a while, hope all OK.

glastochick · 14/05/2008 12:02

Eeek! Have just noticed some spotting! Feel scared. Never get spotting. Usually get some light red blood then full on flow (sorry, TMI ). And it's only CD24, far too early for AF. Can't get my hopes up it's implantation, just can't. Am going to have some chocolate.

Want to tell DH and at the same time I don't want to.

Feel all over the place.

beaniesteve · 14/05/2008 12:04

Aw - thanks Jaamy - amd getting used to this every month. The Cystitis cleared up but then came back!

Good luck GlastoChick

JustJaamy · 14/05/2008 12:31

Oh Glasto. Sit tight. Enjoy the chocolate, then have some more. Don't get excited - we'll all get excited on here for you. Keep us posted, please. Fingers crossed for you.

SparklyPilaPala · 14/05/2008 12:38

I've had quite a productive day today already.
I did some work and then went to the gym and now I might go and lay in the garden for an hr before DD needs collecting from nursery. I still haven't managed breccie yet though which is a bit silly!!
Glasto Sounds good . Have my fingers tightly crossed that it's good news from you.xx
Jammy and BS [waves]

glastochick · 14/05/2008 12:40

Thanks BS and Jaamy

Had a supersized Twix . Figure weight is doing what it wants despite dieting that one lapse won't hurt!

Been back to check and no more spotting. Very bizarre. I don't like not knowing what's going on . Just really really hope this doesn't mean AF is on her way. Don't think I could cope with my cycles getting shorter!

Anyway, need to stop worrying about what is going on until I actually know. Grrrr, I need a big dose of patience as obviously I missed out on that when my parents where busy making me! This is just making my hair turn grey

MollieMooma · 14/05/2008 12:40

Beanie Sorry she got you
Glasto How exciting, sore (.)(.) and spotting! You might have to send me your bottle of Pimms very soon!!
Emma Good luck with your thermometer and OPK's it takes a bit of getting used to but I'm sure you will get your head round it soon.
I decided last month that we were having a couple of months off (obsessively) ttc but dh asked me last night if I would do my "pee sticks" as he calls them this month as he wanted to get pg NOW! I think he's got a bit broody bless him.

glastochick · 14/05/2008 12:42

Thanks sparkly

You have had a much more productive day than me! I always find whenever I'm not working (ie: in an office) I'm far more productive. Wonder why that is? Lol

louwantsaBFPtoo · 14/05/2008 17:18

Ooh - glasto snap with you! I never get spotting either but did this month, but boobs dont hurt at all and they normally kill after ovulation. Also CM has changed to opaque and lots? sorry everyone far TMI but a bit over excited!! These are such different symptoms to normal PMT ones!
I will wait till fri, i will wait till fri... repeat mantra again and again Lou!!!

I slept like a log last night, at least i didnt feel my killer gnat bites on my legs tho!

Sorry Beanie

Hope all are ok?
xx

beaniesteve · 14/05/2008 17:21

Well... it's no biggie. I do wonder if I am actually able to have kids seing as I am now entering my 8th month of trying. Or perhaps it's my OH? Maybe I need to go to the doctors again and start the ball rolling for fertility tests as I am very old now (38) , though my blood tests all came back ok apart from the day 21 one which was taken at the wrong time. Actually I am going to ring the Doc tomorrow. PMA and all that.

I had really really throbbing boobs this month (for the last few days before my period) and that's really unusual for me. I rarely get any symptoms.

JustJaamy · 14/05/2008 17:45

Yes, BS go and see doctor. Be a bit stubborn and insist that you get referred. They will probably want your OH to have his little fellas tested. Could be something very simple and if you are worried about your age, the sooner it is sorted the better. GOod luck.

LittleSquirt · 14/05/2008 20:32

Oh BS - I am so sorry she got you again!
If you know you have been timing BD'ing corretly for 8 months, then I would say do go and talk to your Doctor so you can get some checks done. At least you'll know that you are taking action and this will be a positive thing to do? I know I would if I were in your shoes, definitely.

Glasto and Lou - I got spotting on CD25 for the first time ever and I got my BFP 4 days later! I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed for both of you!

EleVeld, Sorry to see you off the list . I hope it happens for you and that you're back soon with better news .

Am feeling a bit like I will never get pregnant. I've learned so much here and had so much support and help. Hoping I can get my positive Mental Attitude back, but am scared I may have problems.

scully · 15/05/2008 05:32

Sorry to hear your news Eleveld. I have a few friends with very special ivf babies, hope it happens for you soon.
Hope you have a better day today Beanie, it's hard to stay upbeat and postive every day, hang in there.
Well I think I can add myself to the list again, af arrived yesterday, 5wks exactly since m/c. Only 2 more blood tests to go and then see the gynae in 2wks time, and hopefully will be given the all clear to try again.
Am going to try and update the list, apologies if it's wrong, dd2 is on my lap, being helpful

Eleveld - so sorry to hear your news...but IVF does work. It just means that you won't have to hang around here listening to us moan about (non) symptoms. I really hope the future holds a lovely little bundle for you. Please come back and let us know how you are getting on. Some of us may be hanging around here for a while. x

Scully - I suppose for once it's a relief to see the vile old hag. Hope that you get good news for the go ahead.

Hi LS - how're you feeling. Has it sunk in yet?

Lou and Glasto - hope signs are still good.

Hello to everyone else.

Think have missed my window of opportunity this month. We were away at the weekend and had to share room with DD2 also drank a little too much so don't think would have been capable anyway and DH has been away this week. We're away again at the weekend so might be able to squeeze some BD in but think will be too late.

glastochick · 15/05/2008 11:59

Morning ladies

LittleSquirt, you have given me hope!

Had no more spotting yesterday afternoon but a little late last night. Some more a short while ago, a little heavier than yesterday, but not heavy enough to be start of AF. Oh, I hope this means something positive. Will not, not, not test until at least AF due date though!

Lou, anything happening with you?

Eleveld sorry to hear that. I hope it goes really well for you and wish you lots of good luck. We'd love it if you kept us posted on how you're getting on.

Beanie, feeling for you. I too am scared I may have problems. I have given myself a deadline - if I haven't fallen pregnant by the time my AF arrives in July I will go to the Dr. I just have to get over my fear of maybe finding out something I don't like the sound of. Sending you positive vibes.

MollieMooma · 15/05/2008 21:22

Eleveld So sorry to hear your news Let's hope IVF can make your dreams come true, wishing you luck
Beanie Hope your feeling better today?
Scully Great to see you back on the list
JustJaamy You might not have missed it, have a go anyway just for the fun of it!
Hello to everyone else

louwantsaBFPtoo · 15/05/2008 21:50

hi all,

am going on holiday saturday, and thinking i wont test for a few more days. I didnt get a BFP till day 39 when i got pregnant before so might wait. Which means i wont be able to let you lovely people know till a weeks time either way!
Think tomorrow will be too soon still...
glasto whats your normal cycle length?

mibbes · 15/05/2008 22:10
