Hi Lou. My normal cycle length is 27 days (well, apart from the last two which were 25 and 30 days respectively ). I usually OV on CD 17 according to fertility friend, which coincides with the day I start to feel OV type pain.

So, AF is due on Sunday [impatience emoticon]

I took a deep breath yesterday and made an appointment to see my GP. Decided I can't go on not knowing what's going on, and since the last two cycles have been irregular maybe there is an underlying issue. Appointment isn't until the 27th, so I'll definitely know one way or another by then.

How is everyone else this morning?

I have managed to work myself up into a stupid frenzy today until I basically thought to myself 'you're just a barren old cow'. I haven't felt like this for a few months and am worried because last time I spent days obsessing about it all.

Part of me is seriously thinking I'll just go back on the pill and forget trying to have a baby. I know that's the only way I will ever truly forget about it.

BS - you are not too old at all!! Two of my friends who are 38 and 40 gave birth to very healthy babies in March of this year. The friend who is 38 had been trying for over a year and ended up conceiving on holiday! She thought her period was late because of the jetlag until her boobs got so sore that she decided to take a test 5 days later!

Good morning, need your advice. AF arrived two days late, and light, seems short.

Have had tender breasts, dizziness, nausea for previous week. Is this just a variation in the cycle, or can a PFP follow a light AF?

Period stopping but Cystitis has come back! Do you think I should go to the doctor as I have had a few bouts of Cystitis in the last 12 months.

beaniesteve, I'd see your GP. I've only ever had cystitis twice and apart from being so painful it made me really miserable too. I think if it kept recurring for me I'd ask the GP to prescribe something / investigate the cause.

AF still here . Now getting impatient for TEW to leave so we can get back to BD'ing. Have discussed with DH and we've both decided to give up alcohol between now and Glastonbury (can't abstain there, wouldn't be right ). Not that either of us drink that much, but we're willing to try anything that might help at the moment. Also changing BD'ing tactics - plan is to BD every other day then for the 4 or 5 days around OV every day, then just BD for fun. Going to be v. tired

Hiya GlastoChick. I did get given anti-biotics about 10 months ago which worked well and since then I've had tests for Chlamydia and other stuff. I think perhaps it's the increased sex - as we are TTC and not going to the loo after sex etc.

Have some sachets from the chemist now.

I was considering not TTC for the next month or so because of Glastonbury but I'm going to carry on. Looking like I may have my period for Glastonbury though which is a pain. Short cycle means I might have it when on holiday at teh beginginof June too, unless I get pregnant of course.

Oooh, beanie, the whole thing sounds so painful.

I was worried I might have my period for Glastonbury too, but thankfully my cycles have worked out ok. As mine are heavy, I would actually consider going back on the Pill to avoid having to deal with it at Glasto. According to my calender, my peak days for conception fall on Glastonbury weekend, so fingers crossed (and legs wide open ) we're successful. As we get closer to the festival it will be sods law if we do conceive this cycle as that will mean a "dry" Glasto with no pear cider from the Brothers Bar at all [sobbing emoticon].
But then again, I've planned so many things that conceiving would get in the way of and hoping sods law will prevail and still haven't got anywhere.
