Do you normally get spotting?

I feel like I need to pee all the time, I thought I may have a mild urine infection but am having no problem peeing.

Thing is I am only 5DPO so I can't really believe it's a symptom of any kind.

LittleSquirt · 08/05/2008 15:37

Oh BS, I really hope it is a symptom!

I do usually get spotting but after AF, not before which is why this is unusual for me.

beaniesteve · 08/05/2008 16:07

Hmm - my 'no pain' has now developed into a typical cystitis pain and I have pinkish stains when I wipe. So I recon I have Cystitis for sure

tinkishothothot · 08/05/2008 16:47

oh dear sorry bs i hate it have had it about 8 times over 10 years

beaniesteve · 09/05/2008 08:34

well, had cranbury juice and it's easing. Will drink more today and see. it's day 22 of a 24 day cycle, last month I had a 23 day cycle the month before was 30 days, before that 24 regularly. I have no symptoms at all. This has all come round again so quickly, and as I apparently ovulated around CD 15/16 I'm hoping if period doesn't stay away for good (9 months) that it at least stays away a bit longer.

how's everyone else?

tinkishothothot · 09/05/2008 09:10

glad that you are feeling better beanie
i always had to have antibiotics for my cystitis and would get really bad i would be stuck on loo and have lots of blood
good luck

glastochick · 09/05/2008 14:40

Wishing I was outside sunning myself rather than in the office!

The 2WW this month is probably going to end in AF's arrival as usual. BD'd on CD11, noticed EWCM on CD12 but DH was away all weekend so no BD'ing then. Got a positive OPK on CD14 (for some reason didn't bother using them on CDs 12 or 13!), so not sure really when I OV'd!

I wasn't holding out much hope of CD11 BD'ing being successful this month, but I have noticed a distinct lack of pain in my boobs (usually really painful from CD17 which is my usual OV day), feeling really bloated, and odd but mild AF type twinges. AF not due until the 17th so got another week of waiting.

I know I've got a few months to go before I can go and see a doctor, but I have a question regarding Clomid. I've heard it's the miracle drug and that it can be prescribed to correct a luteal phase defect (my LP is usually 10 days although has been only 8 before), but I read in the TCOYF book that Clomid can actually shorten the luteal phase. Anyone ever experienced this?

Treats · 09/05/2008 15:49

Hi everyone.

Another of my occasional appearances......

Glastochick - can't help with your Clomid query, I'm afraid, but I had the same experience with my period last month. Usually have really painful breasts from ovulation to period, but nothing at all last month. Still waiting to see what happens this month.

BeanieSteve - bad luck on the cystitis!

Update from me - I went for a pelvic scan on Wednesday to see how my PCOS is coming along. I've been convinced that it must be getting worse over the last few months. Having been propped up in a very undignified position and allowed the doctor a good root around with something that looked like a stick blender , I was amazed to hear her say that she couldn't detect any cysts at all. She's written to my GP to confirm this and says I should go back to him for another appointment.

She also said that she could see a mature egg waiting to be fertilised and tactfully suggested a lot of sex over the next four days....

I also had a blood test done, so it will be interesting to see what these results are.

Obviously pleased that the PCOS has gone away (maybe I never had it??) but am now confused as to what the problem might be. DH is feeling a bit insecure about his swimmers now........ Will make another appointment with GP to discuss blood test results and next steps.

beaniesteve · 09/05/2008 16:04

Harrah for the no cysts Treats, that's brilliant news. Hope that whatever it is, is easy to diagnose and treat.

damn my silly symptom spotting - I have sore armpits now.

glastochick · 09/05/2008 16:44

Oooh, Treats, that sounds promising

Plenty of BD'ing in store for you then!

beaniesteve · 11/05/2008 09:40

So - am on day 24 of a 24 day cycle and no sign of my period. Am going to wait until I am late before I test though. Woke up with a bit of lower back pain but I was in the garden all day yesterday clearing out a load of winter rubbish so maybe it's that.

As I am so regular I'm hoping for the best but not really getting any other symptoms. Had a bit of pain in my breasts the other day but that's about it. There was that bit of blood earlier in the week but I'm sure that was to do with the blood was only one day and seemed to go really quickly.

LittleSquirt · 11/05/2008 17:09

Well, I thought I might never be able to say this but I gave in and tested this afternoon (so not even FMU!) and got a strong BFP on a First Response!!!!

I am totally in shock. So, so scared that I will have another MMC

Fingers crossed this one does stick...

Who else is testing soon? BS - I am really hoping that we can both join the January 09 AN thread (I am too scared to join just yet though).

LS x

LittleSquirt · 11/05/2008 17:11

Oh, and BTW BS, my only symptom was that my boobs were sore this month (they never usually are) and I got a couple of days of spotting in the middle of last week which I now think was implantation bleeding. So there is still loads of hope for you I reckon!

Do you know when you OV'd?

x

tinkisexcited · 11/05/2008 19:07

great news ss i got a bfp on saturday i am 4 weeks you can come and join us on jan thread when you feel ready

emma2617 · 11/05/2008 19:36

Hi there, I'm brand new to all this, me and my fiance have decided to start trying for our first baby...and I am so stressed about it!

We have recently found out that he has a low sperm count (90% abnormal sperm compared to a maximum of 85% in a normal male) but I am booked in for my implant to be removed on Thursday and we are going to hope for the best anyway!!!!!

Does anyone have any experience with male subfertility? it is seriously stressing me out!!

JustJaamy · 11/05/2008 19:56

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to LittleSquirt and tink. Hope your beans stick but will be sorry to see you leave our thread.

FIngers crossed for you beaniesteve

Welcome Emma - I have no experience of male subfertility, at least DH's little swimmers were ok last time they were checked 6 years ago. I'm sure there will be someone on this thread who will be able to offer some advice.

Hope everyone else is OK and enjoying the glorious weather. Am just coming up to OV so the bonkathin is about to begin. Not that it did us any good last month but at least it's fun!

SparklyGirlFriday · 11/05/2008 20:17

Hi ladies,
List hadn't been updated since Weds so I added 4 days for everyone. If i've done it wrong just shout.
Congrats to Squirt and Tink. Great to have 2 BFPs in one weekend. I've taken you both off the list but thought i'd leave you to graduate when you feel ready. Hope this is ok.
Treats Great news about scan. Have you managed to get lots of BDing done this weekend?
BS I had a urine infection in early pregnancy so hoping this is a symptom for you and AF packs her bags. How you feeling?
Jaamy Have fun and good luck.
Emma No experience here either but welcome anyway. Hope your stay is a short one.
Glasto I don't know much about clomid either. It might be worth starting a thread asking for info from the wise members of MN.

Not much going on here. AF arrived but temp has stayed high. Decided to test yday to make sure it wasn't a break through bleed but got BFN. This is my chart for anyone who knows anything about temping. I'm confused

JustJaamy · 11/05/2008 20:38

Hi Sparkly. Thanks for updating stats. I am completely useless when it comes to charts and temping but at least you are 7 days into your new cycle and approaching the fun bit!

Glasto - I was on clomid when TTC DD1. Didn't notice any change in cycle length but then my periods had been all over the place which, I guess is why they put me on it. I got pg after only taking clomid for 2 months after TTC for more than 3 years. I'm fairly certain there's a clomid thread around somewhere. Try pulling up a search for it.

Treats - fantastic news about the PCOS (or lask there of). Almost makes the undignified position worth it. But I guess you need an new explanation for the long time TTC. Perhaps you'll catch that ripe old egg this time round!

beaniesteve · 12/05/2008 08:05

Oh LittleSquirt, Only just saw this! Congratulations!
I think I am now officially late!
Pregnancy tests are in the car though as I want to wait a bit and I've missed the morning Pee.

Have no symptoms, nothing. Boobs are a bit achy but nothing to speak of.

glastochick · 12/05/2008 10:09

BS really hope you get a BFP!
Congratulations LittleSquirt and Tink

Thanks for updating the list sparkly

louwantsaBFPtoo · 12/05/2008 12:33

hello all - congrats BS and Tink!
my spotting went on for about four days, and now am just holding off on testing as long as poss. Will try and wait till friday! dont want to get a neg from too early. But my SIL said she had very similar implantation bleed with her 2 girls, so am trying really hard to not get over excited! xxxxx

emma2617 · 12/05/2008 13:36

I've just bought myself some prenatal vitamins and a thermometer...not quite sure how it all works so there is going to be some serious reading tonight!

I do feel a bit of a fraudster...you all seem to know what your doing!!

Is there anything else I should be doing to help things along? Ive never had a normal period as ive been on the pill/implant since i was 14 so i couldnt tell you how long my cycle is etc!

LittleSquirt · 12/05/2008 14:10

Thank you so much everyone, I am still in shock and not really believing it. I did two tests yesterday in the end (1 x FR and 1 x CB Digi) but just bought more tests to do tonight .

I hope I am not tempting fate and will add myself to the graduates' list!

BS and Lou - I really hope you get your BFPs soon!

Tink - congrats to you too! Will see you on the Jan 09 thread in a little while.

Oh Ei - I am so sorry she got you!!

All I can say is don't stop hoping. I know that I put that I was on my third cycle, but that was actually since my last surgery in January. In total I was on Cycle 12, I have never stopped trying since my MMC in July last year. So it will happen to you too!

The bean that I lost last year was due on 27th Jan 08 and this new one is due on 17th Jan 09 apparently!

It WILL happen!
