Thought it was time we had a new home, seeing as we've almost outgrown the old one. So in honour to Scorpio, Sybil, BB and toomuch (hope I didn't forget anyone ) here we are - in the company of pregnant (and cheerful) ladies

Glad all is well, Scorpio, hope you can post some piccies soon

Thanks for the info, Nomore, I told you I was a bit green, but knew somebody would be able to fill me in with the details

Hello there Ladylush!!! Its lovely to bump into you here, I've missed being on a thread with you . Hows things?

Thanks for the lovely messages of support, everyone. Dh is bearing up pretty well, trying to stay positiv and focus on bump, so I'm in nurture mode all round.
And I got to buy a new car yesterday too, so all in all I do feel incredibly lucky.

Hope everyone is well xx

Scorpio - she is sooo teenie! She's gorgeous! So pleased for you! How are you feeling generally?

Sybil - 14 weeks now! How long till your big day?

Hobnobs - welcome to the world of porridge!! I love it too

Everyone else - big hello

Ready · 22/04/2008 12:29

scorpio - Millie is gorgeous

hobnobs , you've got me pegged - I am a total control freak, and I am ultra organised, as a rule

Dh and I went and stayed with some friends, in our old, old town (oh how much we have moved!) on Sunday/Monday - and their ds is 18 months now, and utterly hilarious. Got to push him around the shopping centre... they have the Icandy Apple, and I was pretty impressed I have to say. Very similar to the Bug, and my friend actually prefers him in that to a collapsible cheapy they bought. So... Not sure.

Not heard back from Zooper yet

Oo Gilly - tell us how you say it in Spanish?

p.s. your knitting looks fantastic!

Ready · 22/04/2008 18:49

It wasn't light, but then my friend's ds is 18 months, and big for his age. But it was no heavier than another friends mamas and papas travel system, but far easier to manoeuvre. There wasn't a lot of room in the basket underneath, and no clips to hang your handbag from, but I think you can buy them. He looked really comfy in there, and again, he's a big lad. My friend did say that it was heavy putting it in the car, but she didn't really mind until she fell pregnant again and so I think it is something to bear in mind if you hope to have babies close together. They are getting a philandteds for when number 2 arrives in July, and she said they were amazing!

I continue to do my bit in the name of pram research!

ladylush · 22/04/2008 21:16

Kensgirl - glad you are feeling upbeat despite the sad experience you are dealing with. Can't wait to see your baby pics too When are you due?

Scorpio - any curtains twitching when you were in the throes of labour?

scorpio1 · 23/04/2008 07:20

ladylush - lol at you remembering neighbours! Well i saw my neighour in town yesterday and she said oooh i knew something was happening on friday! they have also been orund but provided presents so fine!

I feel fine today, after some sleep - she is nocturnal!! BF going great

mistlethrush · 23/04/2008 09:05

Scorpio - congrats on the bf - did you bf previously? at neighbours

Ready I saw an icandy on Monday and thought of you - had the cot fitted and looked rather nice, although quite top heavy (probably OK unless you have a small sumo wrestler that likes throwing themselves sideways ). I think the mother wondered what I was looking at as I was trying to read the name whilst overtaking (on foot)

scorpio1 · 23/04/2008 11:53

no, i have never bf before, glad i have the chance to now iyswim.

Scorpio - fantastic that its going well this time then! Ds bf to 22 months (when I stopped last thing at night feed through my choice!) - so let me know if any queries, although probably others are more 'qualified' ! BTW, found washable pads much more comfortable than disposable ones - quieter too!

ladylush · 23/04/2008 17:14

scorpio. Good to have nosey neighbours at times eh! Glad bf going well. Lasinoh cream is very good if you get cracked nipples (not that you will - not trying to put you off!) as you can put it on and still feed.

PiggyPenguin · 24/04/2008 11:19

I would second the Lanisoh advice Scorpio, actually I would probably use it as a preventative measure as it is fantastic stuff.

Millie is just adorable. How do you ever stop looking at her? I can't believe I am going to get a baby in a couple of months. I think the prospect of labour/birth is too much on my mind at the moment to think beyond that to the actual baby at the end!

scorpio1 · 24/04/2008 16:57

i dont stop looking at her! have to remember to put her down! i have been using the cream since day 2 as preventative thing. they are not sore though, she latches well.

ladylush · 25/04/2008 08:41

Loved up mummy

nomoremagnolia · 25/04/2008 11:11

Excellent link Nomore... I am having a break from knitting until my balance returns, darned ear infection has stopped me doing the simplest of things. But soon, I will back up and running

mistlethrush · 25/04/2008 15:55

Ready hope you're feeling better soon.
