@SnookyPook less than a mth wow..thats crazy! Seems my area do do bloods at 28wks, iron and blood type....again lol said my belly was measureing off the chart so sent me for a scan, had my consultant appt today anyway so timed well. Seems to be the opposite to you and slightly larger than average 🤷‍♀️..
@Sez281 thats shitty timing but good that shes been moving more now tho... my boys rash cleared up. There unsure what it was. Av a random rash on my hands tho which ofc, they dont no what it is 🤦‍♀️... asked 4 ppl too lol
@Paws4thought think it was snooky that said that saying 🙂 good that your feeling ok about things.@Westy22 forgot youbwere away...... just when were having our week of summer too lol

Westy22 · 25/06/2024 21:03

Ah I'm back now @Supertrooper101 so enjoying the weather here..although it's much better when your sat by a pool 🤣 do you usually have large babies? I've got a feeling when they start measuring my belly they will say I'm big 🙈 it's really popped out but I think it's lack of stomach muscle holding it in tbh 🤣

@Sez281 hope your feeling better, I've still got a cough/blocked nose driving me insane and I've given it the OH. Glad baby is moving lots for you though, I had a day of little movement yesterday and started to get anxious but it's definitely reassured me today all is well...even the OH got a good kick 🥰

Anyone else struggling with committing to buying anything lol its so weird I literally look at things and then think ill just wait a bit longer 🙈 thought I would've gone wild by now x

Supertrooper101 · 26/06/2024 08:02

@Westy22 nar my boy was dinky at 6lb.. girl around 7.10. .... my kids have constant coughs, never ill until this year either 🤬.... exactly the same as you re buying stuff. And when i did, id get a scare, like getting told one has measles or me with a rash. Right mind fuk !

SnookyPook · 26/06/2024 08:09

@Westy22 I still don't feel sorted and been told he'll be here within a month! Still a chance he could be a little earlier too. Just can't make it feel real!! One of the ladies in my due date group has just had her waters go at 34wks too and two if my nieces came then so I really need to get my sh*t together!! I think I have everything we'd need for imminent arrival but not checked condition of pram yet etc and need new mattress for cot/next to me. 😩

xxcxdonxx · 30/06/2024 22:43

Hi @everyone, how are you all? There’s lots i haven’t caught up on here.

Little update from me is that I had a call from the consultant earlier in the week for my results from pathology and genetic testing. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to do the genetic testing as there was maternal tissue in there too but pathology suggests that it might have been a partial molar pregnancy. So, they have sent the pregnancy for investigation (there is only one in Scotland) and the earliest I should expect to hear back is mid July. If it is a partial molar then I’ll need to have regular urine tests to check my
hcg is down to zero but I’m quite optimistic that that’s the case already as I’ve had my period and my peak lh yesterday.
The consultant said that it’s advised not to try for 6months but on reading other threads here that doesn’t seem to be the same
advice.
Anyway so TTC is on hold for me just now until I get the results. A very different Tww for me!

Westy22 · 01/07/2024 09:03

Hey @xxcxdonxx
I'm glad your finally getting answers and they are actually looking into reasons for you. I'm not very clued up on molar pregnancy, how do you feel about waiting the 6 months or will you see what's said in July as the advice may be different? As you say if you've had a period then to me that suggests your hcg has dropped to 0 anyway. I know it's probably crap having to wait atleast till you have the results but atleast there may be some answers as to why at the end of it xx

I'm stillll fighting the last reminants of this cold, feels like it comes and goes atm. 22 weeks today and it feels very surreal, I can actually see baby moving now from the outside rather than just feel which is bizarre but helps reassure me,I think baby is also no longer bum down sat on my bladder so that's good 🤣 made the stupid mistake of weighing myself this morning and now I'm worried I've gained too much weight...not for vanity reasons more based on"healthy" pregnancy weight guides, I don't feel like I've changed much its all belly but I may have to review the amount of sugary snacks/ice cream I'm eating 🐷🤣 the sugar cravings are intense. X

Hope everyone else is OK? Xx

Jadeypie · 01/07/2024 12:03

Hi everyone ☺️

I think I ovulated later this cycle I duno if my med being higher have altered it abit but I havnt been using any opk. Just waiting for af to show then think I'll be doing a @Sez281 and throwing the kitchen sink in for next cycle haha I've enjoyed my relax approach tho and it's been so so refreshing not even thinking about trc. Lovely to see everyone's updates and it's crazy how far along use all are already!! @SnookyPook whens your due date again? Your the first to welcome little fella rnt you? @xxcxdonxx I'm glad you've got sort of a answer to go by are you going to wait the 6 months? Or leaving it down to nature? @Paws4thought how are you doing? @Westy22 best decision was not finding out! I did have a scan where the nurse said this little lady and I was convinced he was a girl hahah also I had a terrible sweet tooth with my boy cakes mostly the sickly the better hahah xx

xxcxdonxx · 02/07/2024 11:10

Thanks @Westy22 , it would be good to have some kind of explanation for this most recent mc but wouldn’t explain the others. I’m not actually sure if they were able to test my second or not but I should check that out. We’ve not tried this month, was really weird to see peak lh and not do anything about it. I’m hoping I’ll have the results by next month so I know where I stand. I’m really not sure if I can wait 6 months though, it just feels like a successful pregnancy is getting further away and I worry about age gaps and just life generally moving on.

It’s lovely and a bit strange to see the baby moving from the outside. Funny to think of them rolling around in there 😍
I wouldn’t worry too much about weight gain, pregnancy is tough going and you deserve something nice when lots is off limits! I put on at least 3 stone both times when I was pregnant, pretty sure that’s over what is ‘healthy’ but just how my body coped!

A relaxed approach sound good @Jadeypie and hopefully your meds are doing the trick. Good luck for the next cycle 🤞🏻

Supertrooper101 · 03/07/2024 07:59

@Westy22 dont weigh yourself lol worry about that after! And like you said, it has gone on yiur belly and you can now see him her move, so the extra pounds cant be that bad. Domt do it to yourself and just enjoy lol
@xxcxdonxx and @Jadeypie its about time you two got some proper support, appointments and answers! Someone had a molar on another thread and it seems the usual scenario...different practise different advice. Be good tonsee what the results come back as though so am plsd they have taken this one seriously.
@Jadeypie think with your boy being ill too, the laid back approach is what you needed at that time anyway 🙂..

xxcxdonxx · 03/07/2024 13:40

Thanks @Supertrooper101 , consultant actually called me to tell me that it’s not a molar pregnancy now. I’m pleased as it’s less complications but would have been good to have some kind of answers. So now back to not knowing what’s caused it.
How are you doing anyway? You can’t have long to go x

Sez281 · 03/07/2024 16:27

Sorry ladies just catching up after crazy week or so.

@xxcxdonxx wow that sounds like an information loaded few days! I'm really glad to hear that it wasn't a molar and you can Ttc straight away (if you want) but I also understand how frustrating it must be not to have answers 😣 x

@Paws4thought hope you're doing ok? You're probably coming back into fertile window soon?

@SnookyPook how are you getting on? Are you on Mat leave now? I hope you're managing to get some rest between checking pram and last minute bits!

@Supertrooper101 you must be in the proper buying stuff/nesting mode now too?

@Westy22 wow I'm 4 weeks ahead and only starting to "see" movements on the outside in the last few days, just goes to show that everybody is different. I have definitely put on too much weight and am eating way too much ice cream (my GD test next week 🙈)

@Jadeypie it sounds like you're having a lovely chilled summer not stressing over ttc. Hopefully that and throwing the kitchen sink at it next cycle works, either way it sounds like you're in a great headspace x

No news with me, covid floored me and I've spent the last few days catching up in work🤯. I've totally checked out mentally to be honest. I'm the only person trained to do what I do and they don't seem pushed getting somebody in to replace me so I've decided to stop getting stressed over it because if they don't care why should I 🤷‍♀️ Hoping to get back over to Spain in a couple of weeks for our last break but willl decide closer to the time of I feel ok and if I get go ahead from consultant. Just so bloody sick of this weather 😣

OP posts:
Westy22 · 03/07/2024 19:27

@Sez281 I was surprised tbh but I felt movements quite early too, baby is totally wild 🤣 moves so much 🙈 ribs have started aching now and I've had my first bout of heartburn so it's pushing up higher now 🙈 and I totally get that with work! I've not even had a risk assessment yet with work there literally like crack on. Luckily the team I manage are much more supportive and try and stop me doing certain tasks lol fingers crossed you get your last little break, I'm already thinking of trying to book a little uk break..I love log cabins but the fact I can't use a hot tub is putting me off lol

@xxcxdonxx I'm glad it's not a molar, but as @Sez281 I get it's frustrating that you don't have answers ❤️ do you think you'll continue to try or hold off?

Lovely to hear from you @Jadeypie I'm excited for this next cycle lol we want lots of updates do what I did and start early in the cycle 🤣

Everyone's said that lol @Supertrooper101 I'm trying to tell myself to embrace it.

Booked on my first pregnancy class with a doula in a few weeks lol I'm so nervous...like why do I feel like a mong going 🤣 I've said ill try one and see what it's like, OH wants to come too 🤣

Supertrooper101 · 05/07/2024 07:49

@xxcxdonxx oh lol what does that mean for you now? More appointments or they just left you be? Av ages left 🤣 bout 11wks lol
@Sez281 still not bought anything needed...really do hope the nesting kicks in soon or my anxiety eases off abit. One of the two! Plsd your on the mend, youve been unlucky with illness this year.. i do think the weather has alot to do with it.
@Westy22 be all the icecream your having making him crazy lol what the frig is a doula lol am guessing not the normal pre natal classes lol

Westy22 · 05/07/2024 20:13

11 weeks is not ages @Supertrooper101 !! Lol do you have names picked?
A doula is someone who apparently offers emotional support to you and family, aswell as provide information and guidance etc lol there not medically trained I don't think. I don't know what I'm expecting from the class but we will see 🤣

People have kindly started saying "oh you look big don't you" like omg why do people think that's okay 👀

@SnookyPook hope your okay 🤍

SnookyPook · 05/07/2024 23:06

Thanks guys - sorry been slightly AWOL. Thanks for checking in! @Westy22 I'm doing ok but my anxiety has definitely ramped up a notch lately. I've got so antsy about monitoring movements etc. Went for my first 'worried about reduced movements' on Monday. Of course he started having a disco the minute I was wired up 🙃😆 Last growth scan there was some possible slowing again but Dopplers still looking ok so they're not too worried.

Consultant re-offered amnio to check for possible genetic causes. I was initially against but my Hubby was pro and quite anxious about it all. We talked lots and I discussed with a really lovely lady on screening team and came to see benefits. Hopefully we'll get the all clear which will be one less thing to worry about and mean no concerns/queries when he's born. Worst case, they find something and we can get support in place and start getting our heads around it. So.. agreed to go ahead. But of course it's more bloody faff and procedures on my body. Amnio booked for Monday morning when I'll be 35wks exact. Because there is a small risk of it triggering premature labour, I've also got to have steroid shots for Babba's lungs. Had the first one this evening and bloody hell!!!! My bum cheek still aches and I had it 5hrs ago 😆 Got to have another tomorrow 😩

@Jadeypie my official due date is 12th August but as you can tell from the above.. little man will be here this month! 😯 In fact, even if all is well and stays as is, they want him out 'by 37wks'... Which is 22nd July...!! So not long at all now!

@Sez281 Tuesday was my last day at work! So relieved to have finished! Although it's not been the start to Mat Leave I'd pictured as my son has been home poorly for 3 days and today my Hubby who is barely ever ill was too poorly to go to work too so I've had them both home needing lots of tlc. Then of course lots of appointments... Not quite the blissful headspace and time for bubble baths I'd envisaged 😂

I did have a really helpful appointment this morning with a MH support midwife. She talked me through the birth with my son - was so interesting! Found out that after they broke my waters at 2cm, I then got to 10cm fully dilated in 4hrs with no pain relief! There was so much I'd forgotten. She talked me through options for the upcoming birth and was great to just talk through all my concerns etc.

Anyway, sorry, that was a mega essay 😆 Hope you're all ok. Xx

Supertrooper101 · 06/07/2024 08:43

@Westy22 isnt there sex doulas aswell lol sure ac seen a comedy film on that lol oh wants to do the prenatal classes. I cant be arsed with the dont do this dont do that that comes with it. Still remember them 16yrs ago lol didnt do any with my boy lol no names 🤦‍♀️ or any i did like the kids hate lol
@SnookyPook wow....what a head fuk.... the fact your hubby is anxious over it would make me paranoid even more. Pretty amazing how they can test things just from the fluid though.. what does he weigh now? The fact there giving you steriods to help him too is good, never new that was a thing either. With all this going on it dosent seem like there will be any suprises when his born so thats a good things...but 2 wks..... thats maddness lol get your family on board for the sickies and get ya sen some time out lol

Paws4thought · 06/07/2024 13:09

@Sez281 I'm OK thank you, yes in fertile window now so nearly back to the tww, they seem to come around quickly and then drag, you did well to remember haha. Glad you're feeling better now, a break in Spain sounds good to get away from the rain! Have you got anymore scans coming up?
@SnookyPook sorry to see your anxiety has been worse again, hopefully the test will offer a little reassurance, it doesn't feel that long ago that you got your positive test! Have you got much left to prepare at home?
@Supertrooper101 11 weeks isn't long at all! Maybe a name will pop into you're head when you hold her!
@xxcxdonxx glad it wasn't a molar pregnancy although must be rubbish still having no answers!
@Westy22 how many weeks are you now?
@Jadeypie how are you?

SnookyPook · 06/07/2024 20:15

Thanks ladies! Yeah madness eh? @Paws4thought I don't feel like we've got everything ready yet but simultaneously can't seem to get in gear! We have enough ready though to cope... 😂 @Westy22 yeah crazy what they can tell from the fluid! Hopefully all will be good but it's definitely planted that question mark so will be good to know for sure. Last growth scan was over a week ago and he was 3lbs12oz. Next one will be next Friday and hoping he will be getting closer to 5lbs. If they deliver him during wk36 or around wk37 he will hopefully be at least between 5-6lbs which isn't toooo tiny.. but we'll see!!

Thankfully second steroid shot wasn't too bad at all! Different lady this eve and it was like a different jab! Maybe the first one just hated me on sight 😂

@Supertrooper101 definitely getting closer for you too! That'll fly by!

@xxcxdonxx relief that it's not a molar but yeah, definitely frustrating not to have clearer answers.

Hugs to everyone!

Westy22 · 06/07/2024 20:26

Ahh hopefully all is well with baby @SnookyPook and he's just dinky.🙏

@Supertrooper101 haha I think this more around meditation, breathing, options etc but we shall see I'll update you when I go 🤣 OH is totally going to regret saying he will come..I can see it already 🤣

@Paws4thought good luck in your tww, it definitely drags 💤 just throw everything at it lol. I'm 23 weeks on Monday, feels like it's not long to go but then when I think it's not till November that feels forever away lol

Had a weird day today, think baby has moved into a position where movements are alot more subtle, stressed me right out. Thankfully this evening since eating and having ice cream it seems to have perked up a bit. I'm telling myself not to over analyse yet as it's too early for a pattern but you can't help but stress at any change. X

Supertrooper101 · 07/07/2024 10:09

@SnookyPook looking at the weights you gave, to put things in a more postive context, 10yrs ago they didnt do these extra scans and tests was purley just the tape measure, my area anyway. My boy was born i think 39+4 and a very tiny 6lb. They had on his notes restricted growth but didnt look into it. Only issue he had when he arrived was he wouldnt keep his milk down so had to go in nicu for the unit to be tube fed. After that, fed normally and was a huge chunk before long. So your weights seem healthyer than what his was lol
@Westy22 with still not got a pattern going on here lol but when they move away and the movements are so delicate it is a worry. But theres so many positions they can get in which i didnt realise so it makes sense. Had a 4d booked and she was folded in two! Scared the shit outa me...also side ways and breech! Woman doing it was 36wks herself and her girl has been head down...until 36 and then gone breech... i never even thought about any of this with my other two, just went with the aches and lumps n bumps sticking out, never thinking there mite b an issue at birth 🤦‍♀️.. are you haveing anymore scans or waiting it out? Novemeber does sound ages away but 23wks sounds far on lol
@Paws4thought think will have to just pick a back up name and then wait till the day lol good luck in your tww, did you try anything different this time or just going with it?

Supertrooper101 · 07/07/2024 10:14

@SnookyPook unit means weekend lol

Sez281 · 07/07/2024 10:47

@Westy22 I'm with you on the log cabin/hot tub vibes. Although the more I read up on hot tubs the more I realise that it's more a safety thing to make sure you don't pass out rather than anything else. I went to the thermal lagoons in Iceland at 7 weeks, just made sure to stay hydrated and not spend too much time in them. Have also read threads on here about ladies taking hot baths and others who own their own hot tubs 🤷‍♀️😂

@Supertrooper101 I'm sure the nesting will kick in soon! How was the 4D scan? Apart from the fact that she was folded in 2 🙈 Has it helped your anxiety at all?

@SnookyPook Wow it's been a busy time for you. Hope the little lad and hubby are feeling better. So sorry to hear that you had a reduced movement scare, so typical that he woke up as soon as you were hooked up 🙈😂 I'm sure the thoughts of amnjo is quite scary but I do agree it sounds like a good idea, I'm sure everything is fine and if anything it will give you a sense of relief. By your last birth review it sounds like you handled it so well! 💪 I hope I have a similar experience 🙏

@Paws4thought it's so true about the fertile window flying in and then tww dragging! Hope you've lots of distractions in this one ☝️ x
I've got my gestational diabetes test on Friday and will see my consultant in between blood tests for scan etc. hoping she signs my fit to fly form too! 🤞😂

@xxcxdonxx Hope you're doing ok x

@Jadeypie is it kitchen sink time yet? 🙈😂 x

OP posts:
Westy22 · 09/07/2024 09:20

@Sez281 yeah I've read a few things about it just being about overheating etc but then I also read the heat restricts blood flow so that freaked me out a little lol I also alwayyys tend to go a bit dizzy when I get out a hot tub or hot bath so I think maybe I should avoid 🤣

@Supertrooper101 I'm thinking of booking a 3d one for 26-27 weeks lol OH isn't too bothered but think it would be nice, although baby has never really played ball on any scans and either moves too much or won't move at all 🤣 so not convinced it would be totally successful.

Baby nursery reno has commenced now 😱 plaster is all off and just waiting for a date they can come in to redo it before we start putting together. House is upside down as we've had to empty everything out that room which is very stressful, but it will be worth it 🙏

Hope everything went well with the amnio @SnookyPook 💙

@Paws4thought how's the tww going? Xx

SnookyPook · 09/07/2024 10:00

@Westy22 thanks lovely. Wasn't the most pleasant experience but all done now and so far no signs of it triggering preterm labour 🙏🏼😂 Initial results should be with us by Thursday but then full micro-array may even be after he is born. But at least it means we can get some answers quickly without them having to prod and poke him once he's out. If there is anything out of the ordinary it means paediatrician can get involved asap. Obviously very much hoping it's nothing but it felt like the right thing to clarify at this point. Especially now the risks of the procedure are less etc. I am feeling a little on edge though I must say.

Hope everyone else is good. X

Supertrooper101 · 10/07/2024 07:53

@Sez281 nope still anxious lol how are you getting on with it?
@Westy22 most of the time if they cant get any pics they invite you back for free, and they only do the head too so no risk blowing 'his' cover lol
@SnookyPook it seems it was the best choice and like u say, saves prodding him when his here...which will be next wk is it 🤯?
