Twitching in uterus during TWW?????

TTC1992 · 04/03/2024 14:59

Hi :)

Hoping to find others who have experienced this (and hopefully got their BFP!)

So, I have been experiencing a fluttering/twitching in my uterus pretty relentlessly for the past 5/6 days (since ovulation). I fully understand that it’s easy to become a bit obsessed with symptom spotting in the TWW, but I know for 100% certain that this is something I have never, ever felt before (and it is definitely not in my head - I can physically feel it and it will happen even if I’m not thinking about it!)

Has anyone else ever experienced this? It’s kind of like an eye twitch, no pain whatsoever. It’s driving me crazy!

Yes!!! I have been having some weird cramps. I am now 10DPO (tested yesterday and BFN) so I am hoping this us implantation cramps. Hope yours is too x x

Hamster7909 · 04/03/2024 20:49

I had this! It felt like when your eyelid twitches but in my uterus. Baby is now 18 months! Wishing you luck and🤞🏻it means the same for you.

@Hamster7909 thank you for replying 😊 Yes, it’s exactly like that! I can usually just about rationalise my TWW symptoms like nausea, tiredness etc. but this is so specific and something I have never felt before in my life. Obviously it may turn out to be nothing, but your answer has given me hope! Did the twitching stop at all? I keep thinking it’s going to, but it just carries on!

@BeckyPfromLeeds thank you for replying! Is yours like an eye twitch too, or is it more crampy?? I’m only about 6 DPO currently. It’s so hard not to test even though I know it’s impossible for it to be positive this early. I keep my fingers crossed that this is your month! Xx

Yes, I had this weird twitching/vibrating sensation in my uterus a few days before my BFP.

I vaguely remember having this sensation once before - when I started my periods, aged 14.

BeckyPfromLeeds · 04/03/2024 21:45

@TTC1992 Erm, I would say a bit more crampy but with the odd sharp pain and some fuzzy feelings too. I've deffo had more of it today though.

I'm finding it really difficult too as I have tons of the easy @ home tests and a digital for when I eventually get my BFP. I've already had over a weeks worth of BFN at the end of Jan when I thought I was late but realised I had not even ovulated yet!! That's only because I wanted to do my first cycle naturally but when I got to CD36, decided I would start using OPKs where I got my peak on CD53.

Fingers crossed for you too. If you can hold off testing for as long as possible, I'm sure you won't be disappointed x x

@Cattenberg thank you! I really hope it’s the same for me and that it’s a sign I’m going to get my positive this month. I don’t think I’ve ever had this feeling before (not in memory anyway!)

@BeckyPfromLeeds I’ve not had any cramping yet, just these flutters. They’re so strange!

It’s so difficult not to, especially when you know you have a lot of tests waiting! I’m really going to try to hold out until at least Friday (any longer and I think I’ll go insane haha) and start testing then. I really, really hope this is your month too! Xx

Yes I had a twitchy/pulsing feeling in my uterus a day or two before my bfp. Baby is now almost 21 months! I've had other pregnancies but this was the first time I ever had a twitching/pulsing feeling, so every pregnancy is different. Good luck!

BeckyPfromLeeds · 04/03/2024 22:02

@TTC1992 Yes, just imagine getting your BFP just before mothers day 🥰🥰

TTC1992 · 04/03/2024 22:05

@BeckyPfromLeeds 🥰 let’s hope that’s a good omen for both of us! X

Thank you @loulou2021 ! I don’t want to get my hopes up but responses like these are really making me feel positive 😊

If it's anything like the fluttering you feel free you've had a baby but definitely aren't pregnant it'll be touch of wind.
Which doesn't mean it isn't a positive, I was horrendously flatulent both times I conceived.
Good luck OP

@TheLurpackYears Thank you for your reply! Hmmm, it honestly doesn’t feel like gas, but who knows! Keeping my fingers crossed for a positive either way 😊

Yep, it stopped not long after getting the BFP and then pregnancy just carried on as normal. I mentioned it to someone who said she’d had the same thing and she was also pregnant. It seemed like a very specific thing that happened in some pregnancies and I’ve never felt anything like it before or since so I’m pretty sure it was an implantation thing.

Gillseybear · 05/03/2024 00:14

I am in a similar boat to you OP but instead of uterus cramps. It's lower back/ hips aching. Today my tummy feels like it is bruised.

Currently 7DPO and it's started on the last couple of days. Not 100% sure when I ovulated as do not really track because it stresses me out.

@Hamster7909 thank you. I’m praying this is it! I get my hopes up every month, but this is so strange/different that I can’t help but think it might finally be my month. Really hoping it means the same for me as it did for you and your friend! X

Really hope you get your bfp @Gillseybear ! Is this a different symptom for you? Tracking is definitely stressful, but I’m glad I started doing it as even though I have a regular 28 day cycle and my app would say I ovulated on CD14, I don’t actually ovulate until CD15-17! X

Yes these are completely new symptoms for me and I have never had them before. It's such weird feeling as I have had 3 MMC's in the past and never had this before. My first symptom with all of them was nausea. So this is Hella weird for me.

In terms of tracking, I use flo and just work based on that. I tried tracking properly but it just got me stressed and disappointed every month. So I'm taking the hands off approach from now on.

@Gillseybear I really keep my fingers crossed for you! That sounds promising. And I’m so sorry to hear about the MMCs 😞Completely understand about not wanting to track ovulation, it’s easy to become a bit obsessive with it and it can definitely become really stressful! Are you going to hold out testing until AF is due??

OP posts:
Gillseybear · 05/03/2024 09:06

@TTC1992 thank you so much I appreciate it. The MC's have been hard but I am just taking it steady and not focusing on it to much. It's why I am not focusing on the TTC.

TTC1992 · 05/03/2024 12:26

Haven’t had the feeling at all today! Starting to think maybe it was nothing - god I hate the TWW and symptom spotting 😞

So do I. It bloody sucks. My hormones are all over the place at the moment and it's stressing me out.

BeckyPfromLeeds · 05/03/2024 13:26

I tested again this morning (11DPO) and BFN. I'm still having the cramping feelings though and no sign of AF.

@TTC1992 I wouldn't count yourself out until AF x x

TTC1992 · 05/03/2024 13:35

@Gillseybear I really do understand 😞 this whole thing is so stressful, and then I worry that being stressed is going to affect my chances! It’s like a vicious circle.
