Hi ladies... my apps think I am ovulating today so about to enter into the dreaded TWW and thought it might be nice to see if I have any 'cycle buddies' out there!? It would be lovely to see some BFP's on here!! We have been trying for a good few months for our first but have really given it everything this month (we're both sick of the sight of each other now😂). Currently have VERY sensitive nipples but other than that feeling good... had quite bad ovulation type pains the last few days but that has stopped now. x

Yep I'm going a bit mad! I'm convinced my boobs are sore and I've been getting some stomach cramps but I think I'm just looking for it tbh 😂

@Familyfirst12 best to be prepared! How long are you away for? I'm going to try and hold off testing for at least another week - AF is due around 5th March I think so ideally wait and see if that arrives and test if not but I think I'll probably cave beforehand.

We have some friends coming at the weekend and the wine is usually flowing so I'm wondering if I should test before that as I would feel bad if I drank loads although I know it would be too early to even have an impact....

Herewegoagain0 · 25/02/2024 17:51

@Familyfirst12 tested again yesterday morning and another BFN (10DPO) so am just going to leave it now. AF due on weds and hope it comes on time at that the CP at the start of Feb hasn’t doing something crazy to my cycle…🤞🏻How many DPO are you now?

Familyfirst12 · 25/02/2024 19:26

@MelonSmoothie We’re away until Saturday - planning not to test until Friday (11/12dpo). I really want to try and hold out until then - AF also due on Friday but just not sure if I will actually be able to wait that long. I just would really love it to be an obvious line if I am pregnant but I’ve never made it that far without testing before! I really don’t have any symptoms apart from the cramping so we will see…
I will be seriously impressed if you get to the 5th March without testing!😂

@Herewegoagain0 sorry to here about your BFN… still early days but if this is not your month, at least you’re close to starting a new cycle now. I’m currently 6/7dpo.

I know this is really silly and something I shouldn’t have done but I bought a tiny little ‘born in 2024’ vest a few months ago, so that I have it waiting for when it finally happens and I can tell DH using it. I’ve put it in my bag which is giving me a lovely little bit of hope to take away with me but will also just be so sad if I have to bring it home again with a negative test. Also, If we don’t get pregnant this month, I’ve only got one more shot of a 2024 baby… just really getting in my own head about it and definitely shouldn’t have bought the vest😂😂

BFN here today, was really hoping for a miracle but it wasn’t to be. I’ve had my cry and feeling more positive. I’ve tested early so still have a slither of hope.
Also moved my goal from 2024 baby to try to take the pressure off next month. Now hoping to be pregnant before the date I had my miscarriage surgery. It was on national rainbow baby day (August 22nd) and I always felt that was sign.

@Familyfirst12 Enjoy your time away, being away will hopefully take your mind off things and get you through until Friday! I also have a ‘born in 2024’ sleep suit that was intended for my baby next month. Really hope you get to use yours to tell your husband this week 🙏🏼🤞🏻

@Herewegoagain0 Sorry to hear you’ve had a negative test. Pregnancy changed my cycle completely, it’s around 5 days longer than before. If this ain’t your month then there’s still another chance of a 2024 baby 🤍

MelonSmoothie · 26/02/2024 09:13

@Familyfirst12 that's not silly at all it's lovely. Really hoping for some good news for you.

@SophMumBles I'm sorry you haven't woken up to a positive, how many DPO are you now? Taking the pressure off next month is a good idea, it's easier said than done isn't it. TTC can be all consuming xxx

SophMumBles · 26/02/2024 12:26

@MelonSmoothie I’m around 8/9dpo now but had a BFP at 8DPO with my little girl so trying to be realistic. Definitely is consuming, I feel so desperate to give my daughter a sibling but also feel like it’s distracting from my time with her because it’s consuming my thoughts all the time. Did you say you’re trying for #2 also? How old is your first?

Herewegoagain0 · 26/02/2024 12:31

@SophMumBles i feel you with time consuming and distracting from time with your little ones. Have the same issue here. It’s so so hard x

SophMumBles · 26/02/2024 12:39

@Herewegoagain0 It is so difficult. It makes me feel selfish for wanting another and doing this to us but I want it for my daughter as much as myself. At the same time, if she is the only child I’m destined to have then I still got more than I could have ever dreamt of 🤍

Emilyx00 · 26/02/2024 14:16

@SophMumBles Sorry to hear you’re having a rough time. I’m the exact same. BFN yesterday but I was only 6dpo so it was bound to be negative. Plus I have no symptoms so really struggling to believe this is my month. But TTC completely consumes me. For example I can’t book a holiday in case I’m heavily pregnant and can’t fly etc , it’s like my life is on hold. My age gaps are getting bigger too. x

SophMumBles · 26/02/2024 14:52

@Emilyx00 There’s still a good chance, still really early 🤞🏻 Really hope this is your month.

I totally agree with you, I feel like I’m on hold too, waiting to compete my family. We wanted as small an age gap as possible and started trying when my first was 4 months old. Now we’d have at least 3 school
years between them and I feel like time is against me.

Emilyx00 · 26/02/2024 16:04

@SophMumBles we haven’t managed to DTD as much as I have liked and only done it once during my ‘high’ period as it came on very quickly. I stupidly done it more straight after my period ended instead of when I really needed to so by the time it came to it, DP wasn't really in the mood. So I’m hoping that was enough. Have you been DTD lots or just around your fertile period?

Same! Mine will have a 4 year school gap. My last pregnancy meant we would have a 3 year school gap but sadly I had a miscarriage.

Are you planning on this being your last child when you fall pregnant (hopefully this month!). I have 2 already so hoping to complete my family now as well xx

SophMumBles · 26/02/2024 16:34

@Emilyx00 it only takes once!🤞🏻and sounds like you timed that one perfectly if it was in your high period🙏🏼 We actually tried the TwoPlus Applicator method this month (like artificial insemination), to try to increase our chances as neither of us are enjoying DTD during my peak because of the pressure. Not sure how successful it can be but we thought it was worth a try.

So sorry you had a miscarriage, it’s so heartbreaking. We would have had an 18 month age gap if I hadn’t miscarried. And I let myself get carried away… looking at double prams etc, never ever thought I’d lose the baby, but it wasn’t meant to be.

Three sounds so perfect. Do you have boys/girls/one of each?
This will be my last if I hopefully get pregnant. I always wanted a big family (I’m one of 4) but I can’t put myself through this turmoil again.

MelonSmoothie · 26/02/2024 16:47

@SophMumBles yeah my little one is 5, it's quite a big gap but we were happy with that. I am worrying now though if it takes us ages to conceive that it will be a huge gap. Is your little one 3?

I totally feel you guys with not being in the mood to DTD - I hate how transactional it is and I know my husband doesn't enjoy it.

SophMumBles · 26/02/2024 18:00

@MelonSmoothie Hopefully it happens quickly for you! Five year gap sounds ideal, more manageable if one if in full time school too hopefully!
My little one is 18 months. We really wanted a small age gap which we would have had without the MC. I think I’m putting too much emphasis on the age gap because I feel it’s what I should have had 😔

2024Baby · 26/02/2024 21:54

Hey everyone! I'm also in the TWW, currently 3dpo and finding it really hard to concentrate on anything else... I was extremely bloated 1 and 2dpo, like actually uncomfortable and borderline painful but that seems to have stopped today. No other symptoms as of yet but I know its early. Trying to keep myself occupied

MelonSmoothie · 26/02/2024 23:24

@SophMumBles thank you 🩷

I really hope you get some positive news soon.. TTC with an 18 month old must be tricky as well but if you want a smaller gap I'm really hoping it sticks for you!

So sorry to read about your loss too, the journey to a child isn't straightforward and it's all consuming xx

MelonSmoothie · 27/02/2024 09:53

How is everyone doing today? Is anyone testing? I've ordered some today and will just need to sit on my hands for a few more days...

Hi @Lemonbell 😊

Good luck as well, at least you know it's early so still plenty of chance. Have you been trying long?

SophMumBles · 27/02/2024 11:32

A big shock after yesterday’s BFN but had a few faint positive tests this morning. Not getting ahead of myself as had the same a few months ago but the lines didn’t progress at all and eventually my period came. So I’m aware the same could happen again but really hoping this is the month 🙏🏼🤞🏻

Hello can I join please. I am also in my tww.

I had a missed miscarriage at my 12 week scan in September and haven't been able to conceive since..I have two living children.

I stopped opk this month as just generally was getting fed up with it all honestly 😂 but I get cramps and lots of egg whites. I'd say I'm around 7dpo.

This morning got back ache which usually means period en route. 😭 Don't know if it's over this month or not really!

How is everyone else?

Familyfirst12 · 27/02/2024 11:36

Wow @SophMumBles how exciting for you... have you got any pictures of your faint lines? I know you're trying not to get ahead of yourself but you must be so pleased to see a little ray of hope!

@Lemonbell my Natural Cycles moved my ovu back to the 18th so it thinks I am now 9dpo... Pre mom on the other hand thinks I am 8dpo. I had to really resist testing this morning but think I will cave and do a test tomorrow.

I have had really bad cramps for the last 2 days but other than that no symptoms really... I am just praying that it happens this month.

@Familyfirst12
Thank you. Definitely a little ray of hope 🌈
It’s faint but it is there. Really hoping tomorrows will be darker 🤞🏻

TWW... starting now!
